Whhyyyy does this always happen to meee??? I choose the best place I can find on Yelp and my expectations arent met. This was my first time getting eyelash extentions. I made the fact very clear. I have no knowledge of lashes or how they work how to take care of them. Jay didnt explain ANYTHING to me. I didnt know lashes came in different styles or lengths. It just felt like, Lay down so we can get this done kinda atmosphere. I was orignally booked for a 1:30pm but she moved me to 2:15pm the same day. No big deal but I did have to scurry to get to work on time. When I arrived at the location I waited 4 minutes outside before I was let in. Jay was not really talkitive but normal acting. Its hard for me to even use the word "nice or kind" because i sure did NOT get that type of vibe. She looked at my lashes and said I must do a 'D curl' or else they wont last. Bummer....I have no idea what that is. So she showed me a picture from her instagram and I didnt much have anything to say. Shes the expert so Ill trust her judgement. During the process she didnt talk. Only background music and the sound of her dogs cleverly breaking into the house, running up the stairs and clawing the door til they made their way inside the lash room. She shooed them away but I could feel the wet wiskers sniffing me out for the next 10 minutes til they left and she closed the door. I dont mind dogs but they did scare me twice. I felt no pain during the installation. Once I was able to open my eyes my left one was watery, she gave me a Q-tip to absorb the tears. When I looked in the mirror I was horrified. It looks like I have spider legs purging from my eyes. The D curl lashes are sooooo long I felt like a drag. No one on Gods Earth has lashes this long. Not even cute toddlers. I must say these are going to take a while to get used to. If i look up the lashes touch my eye lids. No ones lashes naturally look like this. Ugh. And the damage is already done so all I can do is wait til they fall out. I didnt really feel welcome or that good customer service was even given. Id feel awkward to go through this process again. Next time Ill just get my lashes done at my nail salon for $35. Update: Compared to other services Ive gotten these lashes are THE WORST. THE LASHES ARE ROUGH AND SCRATCHY AND THE GLUE IS NOT EYE FRIENDLY. YOUR EYES WILL STING AND BURN EVEN IF YOU AVOID DIRECT FLOW OF WATER !! AS PAINFUL AS SOAP IN YOUR EYE SO BEWARE!! I DONT RECOMMEND FOR THE SAFETY OF PEOPLE'S EYES. read more

She recommended the size of which ones to get based on the size of my eyes and asked me what I was looking for (as far as more natural looking or big glam eyelashes). She takes her time to ensure that they look great and natural as well. I get so many compliments from the people who noticed I have lash extensions... and others make comments that I'm "blessed" with long eyelashes (they can't tell they are fake)! I've had my lashes done twice before I found Vanity Lashes. Both times I was super disappointed, they didn't look the way I wanted them to and they didn't stay in for mort than a day. I had ultimately lost interest in lash extensions itself but I had a vacation coming up and really wanted them so I decided to give it one more try. I found her through yelp and I can see why she has 5 stars. I had asked for the "show stopper" set and omg. These lashes actually stayed on me and they looked so good.
