FABULOUS!!!!!! My boyfriend and I had been looking for a puppy and tried a few puppy shops in Queens. We were disappointed in what was being offered and resolved to give up for the day. While driving down Bell Blvd, we noticed a busy pupy "boutique", especially for a Sunday evening and decided to give it a go. We stepped inside to find the most adorable puppies in little cribs! They were all little babies and we had an eye on a little pint size black morkie. We looked at each other and knew he was the one. The owner, Michael, was very knowledgeable and walked us through our first days with our new baby. He was pleasant and we were even able to buy all accessories and start up materials (food, toys, wee wee pads, crate, etc) for our new baby. It has been 6 weeks with our pup and we absolutely love him! We are so thankful to Vanity, and are bringing him there this weekend for his first (Christmas!) grooming! :-) read more

We first saw a couple photos of the breed on Vanity's site and decided we needed to go check the place out. We ended up there on a random Wednesday night hoping to see a puppy we saw online. While they didn't have that specific puppy, we did meet Oliver - he was just perfect and Michael let us spend over an hour with him, answered many questions, and wasn't even pushy on putting a deposit. He was very knowledge and patient which impressed us greatly. After over an hour we decided we were sold on the little guy. We returned on the Friday to pick up Oliver and at that point we worked with the owner''s father in law who was amazing. He had two other clients ahead of us so we sat for a while and played with Oliver some more - and all the time the owner kept coming over to give his apologies for the delay and check to be sure we were okay. After about an hour we began the paperwork which took about 40 minutes - at that point I understand why there was a delay. He was thorough, asked us many questions to ensure we were prepared to go home with Oliver etc... Now Oliver has been home with us for a month and half and we adore him! The website is adorable. when I went to the store with my kids and husband we were in love. we fell in love with different dogs but with the help of Melissa we made a decision. we decided on a shorkie. Terrible service. I brought my dog in for a nail trim. After 10 minutes, the groomer came out with my dog and sounded nasty, saying the nails are difficult to work with. Upon checking my dog's nails, he missed 3 of nails and one of them was covered in yellow powder. After asking, he said he cut the nail too short and it's no big deal. If I didn't ask, he would not even mention it. The nail was indeed cut wayyyy too short, my puppy was bleeding. The groomer was very rough when cutting rest of the 3 nails he missed. I am so disgusted at his unprofessionalism and the way he treats my dog. I felt even terrible for bringing my dog to this place and the pain my dog went through. Another customer also brought in her dog for nail trim, her dog was whining and very resistant of coming into this store. She was confused and said she got the dog from this place. After a very disappointing grooming from a local puppy boutique, I looked for another grooming service in the Bayside area. I was nervous to take a chance on a new groomer, but my maltese was in great need of a cut! I was given all the information from the very nice guy at the front desk. The two groomers have 10 and 8 years experience. I was told i can look at pictures to show how I would like the cut. I am absolutely thrilled with the results! My Maltese is looks absolutely adorable in her short cut. The cut is even throughout. The hair around the paws were neatly cut. The lines around her ears are super straight and precise. Truly a professional cut. They told me it would take an hour and it did. The cost was also very fair. I highly recommend Vanity Pups for grooming. We used the male groomer. Purchased my fur-baby at Vanity Pups 4 weeks ago. My family had been looking for a maltipoo as my daughter has significant dog dander allergies. I had first seen a maltipoo on their website prior to Thanksgiving and inquired but needed to wait for my son to return home from college before visiting Vanity Pups. After all this would be a family decision! Nassar (owner), whom I spoke with could not have been nicer and answered all of my questions. Diana (Nassar's wife and co-owner) texted me videos of the maltipoos as well as some other small hypoallergenic breeds. I figured if the maltipoo puppy was meant to be for our family she would still be there when we were ready to visit. The weekend before Christmas, as luck would have it, she was still there. She was only 3 lbs. and almost 4 months old. Upon walking into the shop we were greeted by Betsy and LuLu. Both are very knowledgeable and kind. This is not your typical pet store. It is beautifully set up with two large pens and couches for you to see and play with the puppy you are inquiring about. I like that you do not walk in seeing all puppies barking and in cages/cribs. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase and we decided to think about it; a little fearful as she was so small. Diana continued to send me videos after she was groomed showing her actively playing with other puppies. We fell in love and returned two days later. Our beautiful, thriving maltipoo, Ivy (formerly known to them as Kaia) is now 4.3 lbs, is wee wee pad trained and starting to be bell trained to go potty outside. She is a good eater, sleeps through the night, enjoys being a lap dog, but also loves playing with her balls and other toys. Upon purchase you receive very detailed paperwork, guidelines on how to care for your new puppy, vaccination and Veterinary Health Certificate, who the breeder is-as well as their license number and inspection report so you know their puppies do not come from puppy mills! Vanity Pups gave us a leash, engraved tag (showing her name -that we chose, and telephone number), two dog toys, a 4 lb. bag of Health Extension dry dog food, 2 cans of Health Extension wet food, some wee wee pads, and even a cute leopard sweatshirt! I do not know of any pet store that gives out so much, (and the dog food is high quality!) as they truly want their puppies to be comfortable when going home. She also came microchipped! (very easy to transfer over to your name) We also received a certificate for a vet checkup and grooming voucher but being we live so far that was unfortunately not used by us. We live an hour from Vanity Pups so were also given a box crate, in case she experienced motion sickness-she did not but also showed how much they care. Being it was Christmas time, they gave her a doggy treat Christmas cookie-nice touch! Driving out to Vanity Pups for our fur-baby was well worth the hour trip. Rescues are wonderful but if you need a specific breed definitely check out Vanity Pups! We had been researching for months and kept coming back to their website. The entire experience was amazing! All I can say is we fell in love with our pomeranian at first sight! He was 3 months old when we brought him int our family that day! He was such a calm and cute baby from the start! We were not pressured at all and Michael gave us all the time we needed. He mentioned not to rush on anything and to make sure 100% that we really wanted the dog. He was in no rush to get rid of the puppy and wanted to make sure we knew all the ground rules and basics of training and raising a puppy. He gave us a well organized set of papers regarding how to successfully house break and bathroom train and till the end of the sale made sure we were 110% satisfied. I was so pleased with this boutique. I went to several others and It was nothing like this one. The other places I went to had the puppies all caged up together and they looked very sick. Vanity Boutique has the puppies in a crib just like little babies. I went looking for a female yorkie. The ones they had in the crib just didn't click with me. Then Michael told me he had just the right one for me. When he bought her out, it was love at first sight We bonded right away. I told him I would be back in 4 days to pick her up. He insisted on shot records which gives me assurance he won't accept dogs who are not up to date with shots (as I've encountered a place where they are not strict w this policy and law which makes me wonder the other dog's maxi may come in contact with). Mike gave a great discount for grooming ($50 for toy poodle) and will maintain price going forward. Maxi had a nice hair cut. There were some strands longer than others which we needed to trim a bit when he got home. Horrible. I don't even know where to begin. I've gotten dog groomed here twice and both times she came back to me extremely sick with Kennel Cough. They sell puppies here so I'm assuming my dog got it from one of them. But please research what to look for when deciding on a puppy and checking for health I've had my puppy Ellie, a cockapoo, for a month now and I couldn't not be happier . Short Story : pros : came house trained on wee wee pads already. Mike's set up that he explains and attaches with your adoption sheet really does work. We had a well behaved potty trained dog within the first two days. healthy food is being fed to the pups. They're well taken care of and loveable, I could've easily walked out with the whole store full of dogs because they were all so sweet, and fairly well behaved. The recommended vet that they agree to pay coverage for is a real veterinary hospital, not a vet for hire to make their puppies look clean and safe. Most of the vaccinations needed for the puppy were included in the price of the pup. My particular puppy shows no signs of having been in a puppy mill. Helpful staff, Puppy supplies for the most part were well priced (however get a gate from amazon, that was cheaper.) cons : did have minimal puppy illnesses that seem to be normal for all puppies coming from a puppy store or shelter. These included kennel cough , and coccidia (a parasite that she tested positive for in her stool sample.) Both were treated and healed within two weeks, at no cost to me. Bad grooming, her nails and hair were too long. She was getting hot with the AC on One of the dogs I saw looked a little sick. They could have been in the middle of treatment, but one dog I saw had an ear infection. The inside of his ear was very red. Long Story : If you're like my family and this is your first pet,you need a "hypo-allergenic" puppy, you have a hard time getting approval from shelters because this will be your first pet ,and you have a limited time frame for being home with the dog then you might find yourself having to go to a puppy store, and this is the one to go to. The staff was friendly, informative, helpful and seemed to care about the well being of the dogs. The early training and socialization they do with the puppies sets the owner and dog up for a good and safe life at home. I honestly went in expecting the worse from this shop but was pleasantly surprised and happy with the results and my puppy ellie. She doesn't possess the characteristics of a puppy who was born and raised in a puppy mill (she doesn't like laying in pee, she doesn't pee pee in the crate, she has learned important socialization skills that a puppy only learns from their mother, she's not fearful of anything lol, really socialized with people, and she's too young for us to know how she is with dogs yet besides the one in the store and she loved playing with them.) The pet store offers an array of different vet offices that will cover the first costs of vaccinating your puppy and doing diagnostics. I couldn't be happier with my puppy and my experience. The owner Mike even told us that if a medical problem were to arise that stemmed from the care she got before we bough her home, we could come back to discuss returning the puppy, a partial refund to pay for vetinary care, or an exchange, however we didn't have to use that offer. Puppy I bought from here was just found to have a hereditary medical issue that will (as certified by vet) most likely result in reduced lifespan and expensive vet bills down the road. Owner and staff very friendly pre-purchase but became extremely non-responsive to phone calls, email, and text messages when i brought the subject of the medical issue up. Dog is clearly from a puppy mill as I spoke to the so-called "breeder" and that person was supremely unhelpful and rude - insisted that my problem was with this pet store (all good breeders will guarantee the health of the dogs they sell and not palm responsibility off to the store). When pushed, breeder said "Well if you are not happy then put it down or return it and we will put it down for you." Refused to show/send pics of the parents or the environment that puppy was raised in. Breeder claims the dog was sold at $350 to the pet store so you can do the math on the markup they charge (as well as the fact that only mills will sell puppies for $350/per). unfortunately our pet was diagnosed outside the window for unfit-for-sale certification but all owners should be aware of NY's laws: http://www.ag.ny.gov/consumer-frauds/pet-lemon-law and i have to say... PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. If you scroll down you can see mine is not the only dog from here with medical issues that are clearly genetic. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! I took my dog here for a grooming and when I took him home I noticed red razor burns all over his stomach/ legs, basically everywhere. In addition, he has been sleepy and listless since his grooming which was 2 days ago. Other people I have spoken to said their dogs acted the same after being groomed here and that they probably drug the dogs to make them easier to handle! Ridiculous! When I called the day after his grooming, I spoke to the owner who didn't apologize or admit that the groomer messed up. In fact he basically blamed me because I didn't say anything before leaving the store. Like really?! This place has left me disgusted and I will never do business with them again. In fact, I told everyone at his doggy daycare to never go there so I know a lot of people who will not be returning to that "boutique" ever again!! And the one star is because I HAD to leave it. I came here to get my dog groomed and ended up losing an Iphone. When I called back to ask about it, the owner said they had it there but when I came the next day to pick it up, nobody could find it. I just dont understand how it could've disappeared in one day. I've called several times afterwards to remind them that I'm still looking and if they could please call me if it turns up. I bought my puggle here a little over 2 years ago and I love him to death. We were happy with the people who worked at Vanity pups at first and then the first suspicious thing was that we had to basically sign all these papers stating that they weren't responsible for any vet bills, issues that the dog has, illnesses etc. You can't sue them for vet care if something is wrong with the dog... You name it and we had to sign it before leaving with the dog. The second red flag was that one of the puppies they had let us play with after choosing the one we ended up with was coughing loudly and had discharge coming from her nose.... Being naive and ignorant to owning a pet I assumed that it was just this dog that was sick and not the one We had picked... Unfortunately 3 days after we Took our puppy home wouldn't you know he developed the same cough the other puppy had. Took our pup to our vet and found out he has a pretty bad case of kennel cough. He had three rounds of antibiotics and finally After the fourth round of antibiotics, a nebulizer (yes I swear to god) and $700 in vet bills later the kennel cough was gone. This was the worst experience. And what made it even worse was we got stuck paying all of these bills and couldn't do anything about it. We let the people at vanity pups know after they called us to follow up on our pup (which I guess was nice) but as soon as they found out our dog was sick they got off the phone very quickly, practically hung up, they didn't offer anything of course... I'm sure they get their puppies from a puppy mill and not a reputable "breeder" like they claim. Which sucks because I feel like I was duped. I wasn't ignorant when we decided to get our second dog and found a true breeder in upstate NY. Would never purchase another dog from vanity Pups, even though I love my Jaxon. If you do choose to have your dog groomed here, I'd ask if you can talk to the groomer to make sure they understand how you would like your dog groomed. When I arrived for my appointment, I chatted with the staff at the front desk asking for my shih-poo to have a close trim on his body and to keep his hair on his head and face long and only to be trimmed neatly to be out of his eyes. She asked a number of questions and made me feel comfortable that my puppy would be groomed as I requested. She asked if wanted a summer cut and we talked about that and we agreed maybe not as close as in the picture she showed me but about half of his hair off. She agreed that his head, face and ears would not be cut short but trimmed. She even went to check with the groomer to make sure the cut could be done on my puppy and that there weren't any grooming issues, like matting. She came back and confirmed that the groomer said it was ok and I would receive a call in about an hour and half or as soon as he was finished. I confidently left and couldn't wait to come back to pick up my pampered pup. After receiving the call that my puppy was ready, I came back to the store and paid for the services but when they brought my puppy out, my jaw dropped. At first I didn't even recognize him. I was wondering why they were bringing that puppy to me.... that's his collar and leash..... and finally OMG that's him!. I was so shocked and yet the store was filled with customers and children ooo'ing and ahhhhing over the cute puppy. I was in shock and didn't want to lose it in the middle of the store. I needed to get out of there as soon as possible. I quickly took my puppy and left the store until I could I calmly have a conversation with the team at Vanity Pups. Apparently the groomer's first try made him uneven, so the groomer then made the decision to shave off all of my 6 month old shih-poo's hair, including his beautiful ears and head! I can understand that mistakes happen, but the groomer should have waited to move forward with shaving him so closely as well as on the head and the ears. That is what most frustrates me. If his body had been shaven or cut a little more closely then I requested that would have not had been as big of a deal. He's still cute and he wasn't hurt in any way, but the groomer should have made sure a call was made to me before going forward with his or her own choice, after their initial mistake - shouldn't I have made the choice to deal with an uneven cut verses having my dog shaved? I understand that his hair will grow back, but that is not the point. The point is there was major miscommunication and poor service on the groomers part. I understand mistakes happen and I guess this is just a warning. I'm not sure that as the customer there was anything I could have done differently. They did try to resolve the mistake by offering a 50% discount for the next grooming session, but after this there sadly will not be another grooming appointment for my pup at Vanity Pups. How can I trust that the same sort of mistake won't happen again. It is a very cute and clean store. I had been here before and saw the adorable puppies in their cribs. I can't speak for that side of the business. I was very excited to have found a groomer so close to home and the staff that I was able to interact was very friendly. read more

I love it here! It's about a 30 min trip from where I live in Jamaica to bayside to Visit Vanity Pups but I don't mind the trip. I'll travel for quality. Groomers here are quick so I don't have to wait all day. And the owner is super sweet so it makes my trip worth it and stress free. I've brought my dogs here 3 times since the spring. The summer cuts they get from the groomers here last a long time which is great since I don't have the time to bring them every month. Love it here so far! read more

Very clean place for a grooming! My pup was done within an hour and came out just as I asked! I was even provided pictures of how I wanted her to look before hand. As I was leaving, my pup got a free treat at the end! Will definitely be back!!! read more

I came here one day to just, "look," at puppies because I was getting another dog and this is the first place I went. I picked this fluffy little thing up as soon as I went into the store. He nuzzled his face into my neck and that was the end of that. I'm only writing this review because I feel like this place gives more of a shit about making money than they do about the dogs. The guy with the big forehead helped me. I think he's actually the owner of the store (not sure). He was really friendly but you could see that he was desperate to make a sale. He didn't need to make it so blatantly obvious to a consumer though. I mean, I was gonna get my baby anyway; I fell too hard for him when he hugged me to not have him forever. My older dog is hypoallergenic but that never meant a thing to me, it was always just a cute little perk that he had. I had no idea I was allergic to dogs until I got my puppy from Vanity. The sale guy basically lied to me and told me that this dog was hypoallergenic and that he was a hypoallergenic breed. At the time it meant nothing to me because I didn't know I was allergic to dogs so what the hell did I care about that? Now, he has me questioning the breed of my dog. After bringing this dog home and living with him for a while it got really bad. I always thought I was sick until one day it occurred to me that it was because of the dog. I am furious that I can never breathe when I go home; it's horrible being allergic to something you love more than anything in the world. A part from being lied to about this - he also told me the dog did not come from a mill. My dog was sick when I took him home. He was pooping out green slime and he needed medication for a couple of weeks until he got better. It's not like I asked this man these things about the dog - he just said them to sell the dog and I think that is bullshit. He could have just told the truth, like I said, I was going to get the dog either way. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that I would have allergies for the next 15 years. Kondrati Topolov will also promise you all kinds of discounts and offers that come with the puppy for free vet visits but then he will not answer then phone and he will play games. He refused to reimburse the vet bills and my roommate had to go down there to make him pay for it since he sold us a sick dog and told us the first vet care is on them. He is a cheap, sleezy, little shit and I would say to never buy from. This place needs to be shut down! read more

If you love puppies this is the place to visit! The owner is wonderful and accommodating! This was the second visit with my grandchildren and they absolutely love it! My granddaughter mentioned her friend's puppy and he gave her a treat for the pup and all of her friend's pups! Whether you're looking to purchase a puppy or just a visit, you will definitely not be disappointed!!! All of his puppies are awesome!!! We are so looking forward to our next visit. Buyer Beware. I bought my puppy from here and she was very sick. She came home with worms and parasites. The Vet bills have added up to almost $800. I was very disappointed. I love my puppy but would never recommend this store!! read more
