I did a gel soak off and got gel-x extensions. I initially wanted a full set but they couldn't provide that service which was fine. All the staff were really nice and able to answer my questions to the best of their abilities. I even got to chat with the owner who's pretty cool. I got my nails done 4 weeks ago and they're still going strong. The gelly polish doesn't lose its shine so it still looks like a fresh paint job and there is no lifting on the nails. The vibe is loud. There are more employees than customers and they're just screaming across the room to each other. Not relaxing at all. However, the service is quick and seems to be of good quality. Although my nails aren't horrible, it isn't exactly what I asked for. Even so, owner kept speaking over me and saying the results are "beautiful and very nice, right"? I've been coming to this nail salon for years, since they were Revo Nails. They've been bought by a new owner, but the service is as great as always. Michelle and Shelly are the nicest people you could ever meet and they both do amazing work! Admittedly, the work takes a little bit longer than your average visit to the nail salon (a stiletto nail fill-in would take upwards of 2 hours), but they know how picky I am and they pay very close attention to detail... so to me it's worth it. I also appreciate how both nail techs stand behind their work and don't charge for repairs (during the rare occasion where one is needed) the way the other salons do. Michelle was my nail tech for a very long time and she was always introducing me to new colors nail trends. She knows that I'm a creature of habit but because of her I've been able to try a lot of new things. When I moved out of DC, I tried a few other nail salons in my new neighborhood, but I quickly came back not only because of the quality of her work, but the quality of her service. I really feel appreciated as a customer. During my most recent visit, she told me about these full coverage, preshaped nail tips (in both coffin and stiletto shape) that she found in New York, which requires no acrylic and cuts the time of the average nail appointment in half. She said that Shelly was really good at it and encouraged me to try it. I did and I loved it!! The whole process took a little over an hour and I'm so happy with the results. I've been wearing stiletto nails for a very long time and I've always wanted to try the coffin shape, but I was worried that the shape would be inconsistent. However, these are absolutely perfect (and that's saying something, because I'm very picky about my nails. Just ask Michelle...) I mean, literally cannot stop looking at how cute my nails are! I also like that even though masks are no longer required in most places, both nail techs wear mask (correctly!) And all customers are required to wear masks as well. Unfortunately, they've taken down the acrylic barriers between the nail techs and customers at each nail station, but the salon is still otherwise clean and sanitary, so I feel very comfortable during my visits. The only real downside to this place is the location. There is a decent amount of street parking available, but during a.m. and p.m. rush hour you cannot park on the street in front of the salon (or else you will be ticketed and towed). It can also be a little difficult to find parking on the weekends when the farmer's market is across the street at UDC. read more

My experience here was very rushed, technician didn't speak English but apparently understands it. When I mentioned the file was cutting me she hollered out to Mgr in their language, had short discussion with her & continued to file without a peep to me. Also, what is listed on descriptions of pedicures is contingent upon what supplies are available on hand at the time with zero communication to patron beforehand. Mgr is fast and snappy with patrons and staff almost as if we don't have options. Wont be returning. read more

We typically get pedicures monthly, sometimes more or less, and always have amazing conversations and service here! Some of the best foot massages here as well as neck/shoulder! No one greeted me nor said thank you when I left. I called for an appointment and she told me to "come now". I understood she was squeezing me in, but I also didn't want a rushed job, so I offered to come back when they have more time. They quickly rushed me onto the chair and literally spent less than 3 minutes changing my polish, did a terrible job, and charged me $18. Me and my homegirl yeah, well loyal customers gave them a lot of business, even recommended, friends and family, especially during Mother's Day. My issue with them is that they harass my friend, mother for a tip. Out of a $85 service then I go to schedule my nail appointment for today 05/18/23. And they further harassed my friend about her mothers service, and then another nail tech jumped in to harass her about not tipping in general even though she tipped every time she comes, but the gentleman did her feet one time, and I assume that they are under paying him they schedule me for an appointment and we're not available. This was a horrible experience. The technician made me feel unwelcome and unwanted. As a Black male, I felt she treated me so horribly because of my race and gender. The technician consistently twisted my fingers in awkward ways and kept telling me to "relax." I am not new to manicures, having received them for over 30 years, and this was the worst. The manicure was not done with care. My nails are uneven, I advised no buffing and the tech still took the top layer off my nails. Not only did the tech ignore my consistent request to stop twisting my fingers so hard but she would laugh at the requests adding I need to relax. I ultimately asked her to stop telling me to relax because it is offensive and I am quite relaxed but displeased with the service and treatment. I would not recommend this salon to ANYONE! read more
