I picked up a jug of moonshine-inspired hot sauce for under $10, a fun gag gift for $5.99, a large jar of mixed peppercorns for $3.99, and another present--won't name it because the recipient might read this!--for under a fiver. The candle selection was mostly picked clean so I didn't choose one, but there were still some left. Plenty of clothing and home goods too. The store was also quite organized. Pictures indicate that sometimes things get out of hand, however both times I've visited this location it has been pretty well kept. Check-out was smooth, with a very friendly employee, and I left in under 30 minutes. Pretty good for holiday shopping on December 22nd.

I have tried other brands of shearling boots, and none of them are as great. Furthermore, my husband and I have purchased at least a few pairs of HOKA sneakers. They can be expensive, but I often find styles that I like on sale or clearance for lower prices. The HOKA sneakers always fit my feet well and feel comfortable. They have a thicker outsole that is not flat, so it seems to provide more cushioning and support.

I contacted their warranty department three separate times, each time including photos and proof of purchase...and received no response. After two months, I finally heard back. I was instructed to send the shoes in for a replacement, which I did at my own time and expense. Instead of receiving a new pair, I was sent someone else's used, dirty shoes. I contacted customer support again. They apologized and issued store credit so I could reorder. I placed a new order on January 20, 2026. Although the shoes were initially backordered, I was told they would ship by February 3 at the latest. It's now been over a month since the item came back in stock, and my order has still not shipped. I've followed up multiple times. Most recently, I was told my order would be canceled and my store credit refunded within 7 days. That deadline has now passed with no update. At every stage, I've had to chase down responses, repeat information, and deal with broken promises. What should have been a simple warranty claim turned into five months of frustration. I used to hold Hoka in high regard. Based on this experience, I can't recommend them...especially when it comes to customer support and integrity.

You can book by the day or a week at a time. I booked a day since we were approaching the end of her stay here. I will say I was hesitant at first to leave my 12 year old niece for the day camp from a water safety perspective, but that perspective changed quickly as I stood and heard how thorough the camp takes safety (even sunburns!). The kids are given water safety techniques with respect to the local wildlife and ground rules are discussed at length. I quickly realized I picked the right surf camp. My only regret is that we hadn't signed up earlier and for a longer period. Ideally I would have signed my niece up for the week long surf camp. But there's always next summer I would highly recommend A-Frame surf camp!

We were clearly not the people she wanted in her shop. Not sure who she does since they had kids beach toys and other stuff prominently displayed, and advertised a kids surf camps. But I will definitly not be signing my kids up for that one.
