The kind of service they provide could have originated from the back of a 1978 Datsun. I have something to add to my ongoing negative experience with Good Feet. When I told them I had lost my insoles, they finally offered to 'make' me a new set. They don't make anything in store. The Feet people made me ashamed for having less than a perfect body, then promised me they would custom-make me a solution. They couldn't correct me, even if they tried. The fact is that there aren't actual physical consequences to having flat feet! Ableism is in some ways the hardest Ism to address. But, please address it. read more

I went to Te Good Feet store in Santa Barbara on April 23, 2024, as an alternative to having my knees replaced. I knew that it would be expensive, but I figured that if their orthotics made a difference, that was preferable to two bouts of surgery and a year of physical therpy. Martell and Carter have been very helpful. I have come in for "adjustments" to what they initially suggested. And I have worn these as suggested. But after 7 weeks, my pain is still the same as before I went in. It may be that orthotics are not the answer to my condition, but I have not noticed any improvement. While their fitting is "free," if you want to buy any product, you better be prepaired to fork out a minimum of $1500, non refundable, for little pieces of plastic that could not cost more than $1 a piece to manufacture. What you are buying is their commitment to lifetime service. I appreciate that, from their commercials, many people have benefited from their service and product. I am happy for them! The gentleman that helped me was very polite yet overly talkative which explained that his conversation was a build up to a $1,999 arch system sales price. Very very Overly priced product and from the reviews of others--they don't do what they're suppose to. In fact--during the sales pinch, he even admitted that there's no guarantee to build my arches in my flat feet. Unfortunately there was an older lady in there at the same time being persuaded to purchase the over priced product. I would not advise purchasing at the good foot. Sorry Good Feet Store. read more

I went into the San Luis Obispo store on Tuesday, September 26 for a 4:30 p.m. appointment just to buy a few inserts for my house slippers and crocs to use in conjunction with my custom orthotics prescribed by my podiatrist which I use in my regular shoes and hiking boots. I supinate and have tears in the peroneal tendon on my right foot. The prescribed orthotics have allowed me to stay active and prevent me from having to have surgery for many years now. Both Mason and a young woman, Tiffany, I believe, were both very kind and courteous. I shared my diagnosis, and how by changing out my shoes every 6 months and religiously using the orthotics, I had, at 73 years of age, managed to continue to walk, hike and backpack without surgery. I was advised that their system would not work in conjunction with my custom orthotics. Unfortunately, I made the decision to try out their arch support system. It cost $1,700. Upon returning home and discussing it with my wife, I realized that with my condition, extreme supination and having tears in my peroneal tendon, that the arch support system would not help keep my right foot in proper alignment. I had made a bad decision. The very next day, less than 24 hours later, in fact it was exactly 19 hours after I left the store, I called. The young woman who had waited on me answered the phone. I said that, after giving it more thought, I was going to follow the advice of my physician and stay with my prescribed orthotics, and I would like a refund. I mentioned that all the items were still in boxes unopened and still in the shopping bag from yesterday evening. (I did wear one of the supports home from the store and removed them once at home.) She advised that store policy would not allow any return, only a store credit, as was indicated on my receipt. I was taken aback by this. I could see that if I had used the product this might hold but, not having used the product and changing my mind in less than one day, well, this didn't seem right. Normally reputable retail stores allow a time for such returns. So, all this being said, I am out $1,700. What a costly mistake. I went to the store because I heard the advertising on radio and I was in pain. They sold me the three pairs for $1100.00. The young salesperson told me it was a lifetime guarantee. So far the pain was going away. After about 6 weeks the pain was coming back,I ended up going to the podiatrist. He told me that this product was/is no good. Got a Cortizone shot and showed me what to buy for $40 on Amazon. Also a prescription for custom orthotics. I tried several times to contact Tiffany both at the Santa Barbara store and the San Luis store. Never got to her or a return call. The one salesman I talked to told me that refunds are only within the first 30 days. I told him that the young man who waited on me did not say that. He asked who helped me. When I told him he kinda giggled and said "yeah " he doesn't work here anymore. So I guess I'm out $1100. Please don't get trapped like I did. read more

Marc was informative, helpful associate at the Santa Barbara store, and the Brooks shoes available are comfortable and nice-looking casual walking shoes. I've been using the 3-step system for less than 3 days so far but am feeling the benefits of my feet being redirected into better alignment in these shoes which offer my toes much better "breathing room" than other athletic shoes. The only reason a star is missing above, is the cost is quite high, however, with the Lifetime Warranty I'm hoping that this investment will be well worth the expense. read more

Great customer service. Answered my questions. Being a RN, I know how important it is to have a firm base underneath me. My problem is that I fall, several times resulting in a concussion. I developed painful plantar fasciitis a few months ago that got so bad I couldn't even put pressure on my right heel in the morning. Shoe inserts from the drug store didn't help much. After seeing the commercials for The Good Feet store I decided to go in. The two people Jason and Carter I worked with were great and knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Believe it or not after only two days with the custom arch supports I am already seeing improvement and am not limping as much. Since I've only had them three days I will update my review in the future. I have four pairs of arch supports in three different levels of support. The first one that is a bit hard on your arch in the beginning but it is training your feet to balance more evenly so you only wear them for short periods of time in the beginning. It's more expensive than I expected but I need these feet for quite a few more years so it's worth it! , This is my 2nd review after wearing my arch supports for 5 days. I was pressed for time and they were so attentive and quick with the service so I left a review complimenting them for that . Now I'd like to compliment the product. I have patella arthritis in my left knee that's been bothering me terribly for the last year or so. Orthopedic doctors didn't even ask me about my feet. They just suggested a brace and painkillers. I had orthotics made many many years ago which I use rarely since they don't seem to do much. I've been careless about attending to my lifetime of flat feet until now. Once I was in the store and heard about the system, just decided to go for it, since I had so little time to debate the decision ( I was from out of town and on a lunch break from a temporary assignment). I'm happy to say my pain in the knee has gone away. They responsibly didn't guarantee that but said it might help. After paying the price at the counter I did go home and research a little bit and found a bunch of reviews that complain about the expense. It has been several days since I started the 3 pair program and am following the instructions closely. I seem to feel a little better in the foot that was bothering me, but after reading the reviews I notice that the 5 star reviews were from new customers that had only just started the program. The negative ratings came from customers who had been on the program for more than a month and the pain was returning. I would expect that there would be more 5 star reviews from long term clients. This is worrisome. The person who sold me the program was very nice but did not mention the 30 day guarantee and the cost was $1300 in the San Luis Obispo store. Also, I was struck by the foot print procedure and how it did not seem to be a factor in deciding what I needed. Jason was very knowledgeable and listened carefully to my wife's foot situation. After waiting for our appointment, which I highly recommend, the 'Good Feet' presentation was very convincing and quick, especially that 'standing and balancing' demonstration, my wife had to perform. YES, be prepared the orthotics needed are expensive, but I have already been thru the online fixes, doctor quack appointments, and Big Box shoe inserts! My wife was in pain and my new knowledge of having 3 stages of foot support orthotics to return my wife's feet to comfort will mean a start of continued happiness for us. The location in Santa Barbara using Google was tricky. The store interior is very stark and visible products small. Considering the stories, I have heard from others getting orthotics from a physician, the scheduling appointments, and the costs associated, this was a convenient visit. We initially did not make an appointment, but our wait was like the same amount of time waiting for a scheduled appointment for a doctor, a few weeks in advance. This is not an immediate solution. Everyone will have unique differences and perhaps this will not work for them. An off the shelf solution, this expensive, is something I take a long moment to consider. However, expensive is relative to how much time you wish to stay in pain and have no working solution and plan to relieve that discomfort. Our experience was fantastic after getting the orthotics from the Good Feet Store! A simple set of foot inserts with a progressive plan to correct the muscle and bone alignments, specific for your feet, and maintain it, is what you get. I am 68 and a rancher. I wear cowboy boots all day. Cowboy boots do not have much arch support if any. I have been using inserts for years since I once developed Plantar Fasciitis in both feet at the same time. My left heel is starting to bother recently so I decided to give The Good Feet Store a try. I have the classics in my cowboy boots now and my feet feel well supported. It has only been a few days but no heel pain the past few days and I have been working hard. Very nice store. Very nice staff. That said, proceed with caution. NO REFUNDS. VERY EXPENSIVE. They don't really want to tell you this, but they will if you ask directly. I was considering purchasing one of the packages using CARE credit. I was told I would get a store credit for whatever I spent if I returned the products. My question: If I make three payments over three months and decide the product is not for me, would the store credit be for the payments made to CARE credit with the balance waved? The answer: Good Feet Store and CARE credit are two different entities. In other words, you'll be paying off that CARE credit in full. read more

We've given up on inserts. Found out my husband is riddled with arthritis, got cortisone shots which worked miracles. I suggest seeing a doctor to unravel why there is pain. I met with Tiffany 2 days at the Santa Barbara store. She clearly explained the process of what the Good Feet Store wants to accomplish by getting the right arch supports for each individual's feet. She took impressions of my feet and then went and selected the 3 step arch supports for my feet. She explained what each arch support achieves. She showed me how to remove the cushions from my shoes and place the arch supports followed by the Good Feet cushions into my shoes. She also explained the lifetime warranty on my arch supports. Like shoes they do wear down with use over time and all I have to do is to go into any Good Feet store and get replacements. I have been using them for 2 days now and I can already tell the difference when I walk bare feet. I just left The Good Feet Store... I realized I probably needed some custom orthotics for my Planter Fascitis. They took an ink 'footprint' of my feet. I was told the minimum cost was $1,000+. I assumed they would be made for me, but he pulled some off the shelf. I said 'oh I thought these were custom made'. He said 'No, I can tell what you need'. Don't bother with this place. The salesperson I dealt with (and it's all a huge sales pitch-think door to door salesman) had zero knowledge of foot pain treatments. Didn't know about (and didn't appear to have even heard about) all of the basic foot pain treatments that I assume most people go thru before they end up at this place. I was definitely not sold on the $1200 (yes, they are $1200) shoe inserts and was about to leave when the salesperson offered me a 90 day test period. With that, I bit the bullet and hoped for the best. They try to sell you their ugly shoes in addition to the inserts and I declined. When I got home I put the 1st pair in my ASICS shoes and they didn't even remotely fit. I tried my Brooks shoes. Same. If you put the inserts in, your foot will not fit in the shoe. I went back the very next week to return them, and the smartass clerk said I couldn't return them because the owner wasn't there that day and preceeded to ask me "well, did you call first?" Why would I call a store and ask if I could return something that I was told I had a 90 day test period on? The other employee was nice, she tried to help me and was getting nothing but pushback from employee #1 since I had not called before I drove there. Employee #1 gave me some story about not being able to do without the owner since he didn't know how to do it. When I suggested that he call the owner and perhaps she could walk him thru it on the register, he did just that and between the 2 of them on the phone he was able to refund my credit card. So after it was done, I asked for some sort of receipt showing that it was processed back onto my card. The answer? "Nope, we don't give you anything...that's how it works". So I left with no $1200 inserts and also no proof it was returned to my credit card. Fortunately, it did credit to me. What kind of business doesn't give you a receipt? Do yourself a favor and just don't bother with this place. It's a huge hassle and the inserts suck. read more
