I've never had a good experience at this Tillys location. I used a gift card here once and the girl couldn't figure out how to use my credits so she called the manager- who was moaning and groaning about having to help me. Eye rolling and sighing, made me feel like such a burden. Wanted to go in today to get some new shoes, says they open at 11am. It is 11:26 right now, the doors are locked but I see 2 girls chatting at the register. I made eye contact with one of them and she just turned around?? What a waste of time. I just watched three more people try to enter the store, Tillys needs to find new employees with a better work ethic! read more

I am absolutely appalled by the way I was treated when coming into the store today. I have been a long time Tillys customer-- spending a considerable amount of money at the store throughout the years. I ordered over 10 items during my last purchase online-- however, one of the dresses I ordered had a rip in it when it was definitely not supposed to. With this, I went to the local Tillys to return it. I worked in retail for 4 years, so I know that returns are not the easiest things. However, it is apart of the job. When getting up the register the employee working not only gave me a look like she thought i was beneath her, but she proceeded to talk to another employee and complain about the woman who was just helped. after about 3 minutes of this, I just went up to the register. When I told her I had a return she immediately rolled her eyes and turned to the other employee to shake her head in disapproval. Then, she continued to be extremely rude throughtout the whole process-- which was not that difficult. I had the recepit and the card for the money to be put back on. I have never been treated this poorly at a Tillys and I will not be returning. read more

Walked in here last week and I had a horrible experience. The manager is rude and talks poorly about all the customers coming in. I unfortunately, heard the employees making fun of other customers and their appearance. The manager is super unprofessional. Walked into this Tilly's to browse and found some nice shirts to try on. The fitting rooms were full and we were waiting in line. Josh let us know that it would be just a moment. 5 minutes later, Daniela Alcaraz came by and asked "Oh, are you waiting in line?" To which we said yes. She walked over to the fitting rooms and smirked at us and said in the most rudest tone "Well, you're going to have to wait!" After we tried on our items, we walked out to see Daniela whispering to Josh about something while looking our way and smiling. She started excessively lysoling the fitting room and laughing while looking our way. While we were getting ready to pay, we stood in line behind 2 ladies. Daniela came up to us again and asked in the most sarcastic way. "Are you guys in line? If so Imma need to you guys to move over there." And walked away smirking to her coworkers. I asked the girl at the register about her and she confirmed she was a manager. Daniela Alcaraz was completely rude and unpleasant that entire visit. I mentioned this to the girl at the register and she informed me she would inform her other manager. It's really unprofessional to have an employee speak about customers in front of them and to feel like she can speak to them in this type of tone and manner. I had received the wrong size shoes but Ana and Daniella were super helpful and patience. Just make sure you have the recipe and they will take care of you! Although with Covid many places have stoped approaching you. The ladies here were still very attentive and helpful but still maintaining their distance. I love this Tilly's- not only is there ample amount of parking by the marketplace, but the employees are always willing to help! They always suggest similar style outfits when you're in the fitting room- I appreciate that (but there's also a limit to how many times employees should do this)! My daughter and I went in to Tillys so I could return an online order I was having a hard time processing online. When we entered we were greeted by very friendly staff. We went to the front and the two women at the counter asked if we were ready. I told them I had a return and they were more than happy to help. Vero was the first salesperson that was helping me and she was very nice. When the computer was only allowing her to give me a gift card she called her manager Dani over. Dani was very professional, friendly and helpful. She was able to credit back the card I used and was very apologetic even though none of it was her fault. Stood in line while one register was open and three employees were standing behind counter. Two were dealing with merchandise. After waiting a ridiculous amount of time while watching these two doing non- customer related things I excused myself in front of the person in front of me and said could you please open another register. When I returned to the line the woman in front of me said thank you so much for saying something. If paying customers are standing in line, store owner's should make sure that their personnel don't allow customers to wait. Those other things they were working on can wait, put the customer first. read more

Wow! Service here was awful. I was the only person in the store and was not asked if I needed any help even though I'm standing where the sunglasses are looking around for help(I made that very obvious). I knew exactly what I was looking for so I wanted to be in and out. Finally I walked to the register and the lady asked if she can help me. I asked if they had a specific pair of sunglasses and she asked someone else and they said no which I already knew. She then said that they can order it online so I pretty much had her right where I wanted her because I know they can order it online for me with free shipping. . I've done this plenty of times at the tillys closest to me and they know me by name. I told her great I'll order a pair and I have a %20 off promo email which I've used a number of times so I know there aren't any restrictions against what I'm doing. She all of the sudden says I can't because the item is already %50 off. She then says that I won't be saving that much money but if I get a shirt then I'll be saving a little more. I couldn't even respond to such stupidity. I then just told her I wanted to use my promo code because it expires today. I also said then I'll buy two pair which I was already planning on doing anyways but since she mentioned a stupid t shirt. I was what they call a "lay down" in sales terms. So I ended up going to the store I frequent at and bought them there with no problems(Santa Barbara state st location) Anthony is great and very helpful. read more
