I love me a good deal. I used to shop here and buy cute shoes, waiting for my kid to grow into them. It's happened to me on two occasions now where the outlets sell shoes with misprinted sizes. As in, my kid fit into a vans size 9 but not a size 9 in their clearance shoes. Very frustrating. read more

I nearly have forgotten about this store but remembered that it existed. I was in search of some ultra range high tops and when I called in they had the size I needed here!! Selection was not the best but that's expected considering it's an Outlet. Customer service was spot on. We were greeted upon entering and were asked several times if we needed any help. Every time I've come into this store, the employees have been awesome. They always welcome me and do whatever they can to help me find what I need. I always leave satisfied with my purchases and experience. The location is small, but it always looks organized and clean. Location parking can best be found in the CVS parking lot. Shout Out to the Vans Outlet store on Second St! My grandson and I had the most amazing experience there Saturday! It was soooo crowded...BUT everybody was wonderful! The staff was great, the customers were great...it was like I had stepped back in time where everybody was kind and looking out for each other. Looking back on the day and time that we were there and it was fun! (Full disclosure...I do not like to shop, so for me to say that it was fun...is HUGE). We met two amazing men (customers) and one took my grandson to geek out on Vans shoes and the other gentleman and I reminisced about the good ole days...I laughed with other customers about our kids, about how crowded it was and how it was one way to "get to know your neighbor". If you were in the store Saturday between 2:00-3:00, you know what I mean! Thank you to the staff for being helpful and kind and asking if you could help. I watched you ask everybody...I watched you work together as a team to get the product that people were asking for. Not once did I hear any of you say "No"...you said that you would be happy to look. Walked in this establishment looking for a pair of shoes for my niece and they didn't have much. Upon arrival no one greeted us ,no one asked us for help and no one said anything as we were leaving. They lack customer service the woman with the dread was rude and rolling her eyes as my baby niece was touching the shoes . We drove over 100 miles to this vans outlet.. because they offered buy 1 get 1 half off deals on shoes. The shoes I chose had the same sign above them for the buy 1 get 1 half off deal. The sign also said all shoes in red writing. When we went to pay they said my shoes weren't part of that deal. . And now when I got home I found a price sticker on the bottom of my shoes for $50..that's $10 less than they changed me.. I suggest everyone rethink giving this business your hard earned money read more

I came here during COVID-19...the employee's did a great job making me feel safe while shopping in such small quarters. I'm not a fan of Vans myself. I can't recall ever owning a pair in my life. I have stopped in the store with my friend several times. He's the opposite of me. Where foot wear is concerned all he wears is Vans. I've known him over 20 years and don't think I ever saw him in any other shoe. The store is fine. This review is regarding an employee. I was in there for an exchange so I was only inside the store for about 5 min. The guy with the glasses and super long hair- he was so negative. Twice I heard him make negative comments and I was in there for only 5 minutes. Regarding my exchange he said "Oh I don't think we will have them but I'll check anyways" which they did and that's why I was in and out. Second time a lady asked for kids velcro and he said "if this is regarding the buy one get one 50% off it's going to make it so hard for the Velcro but I'll check" I don't know. He was so negative. The sales staff were great, however when I took my regular priced shoes (50.00) and my sale shoes (67.95) to the counter, I was told that my sale shoes had to be less than my regular shoes and did not qualify. What? No where does it state that, and talk about bad practice. Make it the least expensive is 50% off. So, it's not really buy one at regular price and get a sale shoe 50% off. read more

Great customer service experience, but the problem that I have is that all of the popular shoes are excluded from the great holiday sale. The least popular Vans that everyone seem to fall in love with are the one which they promote with the deals. They "$25 Vans bucks" card is ONLY VAILD after Christmas which I believe is a way to get more ppl to buy their shoes but when they go and try to use the coupons they're denied. I recently found this place on a whim. I was going to go pick up my car and my girlfriend pointed it out to me that we just passed a VANS Outlet. In the middle of El Cajon, So I made a U-turn at the next light and for sure it is a small Vans Outlet. Love this place. Always adequately staffed. Came in and got 8 pairs of shoes for $110 (with coupons). Greeted right away and asked by everyone there if we needed any extra sizes which helped a ton since we had our brood of children. (They were nuts) Kendall was super sweet and Bella was beyond wonderful; bagged us up and had us on the way quickly. To the employees...y'all are rocking it with your teamwork! read more

This Vans outlet is my favorite place to get Vans in San Diego! I always go here for my vans because of the buy one get one half off promotion. The selection that they have is great in my opinion and I always find sale shoes that I like. I personally try to go at least once a month because they always get new sale shoes. I walked in expecting to get one pair of shoes for my mom and I walked out with four. They definitely help you out looking for sizes, recommendations, and more. Incredible selection! If youre lookimg for cheap sneakers in general, they even have overstock era's for around 20 bucks. Not a bad deal. They had reissues and all sorts of cush pro/cush lite options, as an avid freestyle longboarder I felt in heaven. Friendly staff, great prices, nice organization. I love buying Vans and all. I hardly come to this store but tonight I did. We walked in there and no one greeted us or asked if we needed help. We had to ask for help. The lady who rang us up was like, "did you know these aren't part of the sale deal." Or whatever. Like, there was signs up talking about buy one get one 50% off. If an employee approached us and informed us of what the deal was, then there wouldn't have been any confusion. I'm not ever one to write reviews but the employees at this store were absolutely rude. Particularly the girl with the dark long hair. I went in and had multiple shirts I wanted to try on. I asked one of the guys if I could have a fitting room. He said there were boxes in there and then went to ask the girl with the dark hair if I could still go in and try them on. She said no, so I then asked her if they could hold my items until the fitting room was cleared of the boxes so that I could try them on. She told me the longest she could hold them was until the end of the day. When I asked if the boxes were going to be cleared out today she said probably not and was extremely rude. She refused to hold my items until the fitting room was available for me to try them on and was arguing with me that there's nothing she could do. I don't understand how if the fitting room isn't available for me to try things on why she couldn't hold the items for me until they were. After many rude comments from her I asked for the manager who seemed to have no issue at all holding the items for me and then actually said that she could move the boxes out real quick. Took them less than 5 mins to move the boxes out. I purchase many items from vans but I will never be back to this location as long as that employee works there. So disrespectful and rude. read more
