    Confusing closing hours: website says 9pm only to be greeted by a rude associate who won't let anyone in at 7:50pm. I only had to drop off a shoe donation. I wasn't the only one. As I'm sitting here in the parking lot writing this review I see others walk to the door and get turned away. The store is technically still open. It looked like they had returns. Seems like this place has great customer service. *eye roll*

    Great sales when I can find a pair or two. Huge selection of shoes and nice selection of various other accessories. Friendly staffs. Always helpful. Clean store. Nice cashiers. Sign up for their rewards and emails to get an additional discount. Welcomed to all shoe lovers!!!

    I came here to use my $5.00 coupon before the end of the month. I didn't find any shoes here in the clearance racks because they were so limited on selection and sizes, but the cool thing was they now sell kid's shoes. I was so excited for my daughter to try on some cute shoes. My daughter really liked the unicorn boots but they were too tight. There were other styles that I had her try. She was so picky. I didn't buy her any shoes but maybe next time. I ended up buying socks since I didn't find any shoes to my liking. I didn't want to pay regular price for any other pairs. The only pairs I would buy is the Adidas tennis shoes which I own two pairs already. I liked how big this location is and it's great that they sells kid's shoes. This is the only location that sells kid's shoes. A definite plus. I will be back.

    Absolute scammers…read more I want to preface this review by saying that everything that happened to me today happened last year when I ordered my contacts through them as well. That time, I chalked it up to a misunderstanding. This time, it's clearly a scam. Several weeks ago I got my annual eye exam. My prescription didn't change much, just a few degrees in one eye. Still have an astigmatism in the other. I have been wearing the same brand of contacts for years. The doctor asked me if I liked them. I said yes. We had a whole conversation about them being bi-weekly, and her double checking to ensure that I liked that. Then, she trialed me on the updated prescription. This part is important--I opened the trial contacts myself. I tried 3 different ones, just different numbers, *ALL THE SAME BRAND*. I know what they look like, I've been using them for years. My trial was the same as what I always use, what we discussed, and what I asked for. Flash forward to picking up my contacts. I pre paid when I ordered. When I arrived at the store, I look in the bag and the first thing I notice is that there are not enough boxes for a year supply. There are. 12 pairs of contacts. I pick up the box, and it's not my brand. It's the store's own personal brand. Not only are these monthlies, but they're a whole separate brand. I tell the girl at the desk (glass, black hair, shorter) that these are the wrong contacts. While she was professional enough, I do want to say that she was very passive aggressive with me. She told me that the doctor trialed me on this brand. I told her I opened up the contacts myself and that the doctor and I had a whole conversation about it, and that is factually untrue. She just says "okay" and then continued to say FIVE MORE TIMES that the doctor trialed me on this new brand and that I'm wrong. I shut it down each time. Anyway, I ask for my correct contacts, and come to find out that the doctor put it IN MY PRESCRIPTION that I can only have this brand. In my literal prescription, the thing that I should be able to take to any store, she noted that I can only have some soft flex thing or whatever that's in their own personal brand. This is absolutely crazy to me, which I made sure to tell them. I straight up asked to girl helping me "does this not seem like a scam to you? To say that I can only have the brand made by your company?" She didn't really have much to say about it. It was very clear that she thought I was the problem, when they're the ones running a very clear scam. I stayed until they changed my prescription to take that out. We never discussed this brand. Never discussed soft flex. The girl at the desk tried to tell me that my old brand wouldn't work for my astigmatism, but I told her the astigmatism isn't new, and that the brand does cater to it. She did a quick check to very quickly realize I was right. They tried to order me the correct contacts, but I had them refund my order entirely and give me an updated prescription to take elsewhere. This place will never, EVER be getting my business again. It feels like it should be illegal to put that I can only have this company's brand in my official medical prescription. Absolutely absurd. I'm sure they get a kick back from selling their own brand somehow, especially since this happened to me not once, but twice. And on the second time, I clarified with them at the order that I wanted the same brand I always wear, and they confirmed that's what I'd be getting. I walked out of there nearly an hour later with no contacts, and an absolute disgust from this company and Doctor Diem Tran. They should be ashamed of themselves.

She said they could and took my glasses off to a counter a few feet away. She spent several minutes Trying to install the little screw that I brought her.she then tried to tweak the little hinges on the frames themselves and then brought them back and said she was sorry she could not take care of it. She recommended I take my Columbia glasses to the Oakley store since they sell Columbia glasses there. I asked her if she knew any nearby but she did not. I said thanks and I took my glasses over to Kaiser Permanente where I purchased them. When I got to Kaiser I explained to the person working at the counter that I could not get the screw in anymore as it was stripped and they said they could take care of it for me. Iopened up the glasses and handed them to a technician who pointed to the hinges and asked what happened. While the young lady at eyeglass world was working on them she crushed the hinges together with the needle nose pliers she was using, (where the screw goes into and the arm) would no longer fit in place. I was told they could try to fix them but there was a great possibility that it would fall apart and be ruined. The tech at Kaiser worked on them for about 15 minutes and gently was able to pry the little hinge open far enough to be able to get the arm installed and a new screw which was tapered in place because of the threads being crushed by the pliers. It is my fault for not looking at my own glasses before I walked out of eyeglass world but I really wish that the person working there would not be so deceitful as to Damage my property and then hand them back to me with a smile and recommend I go somewhere else. For this reason I cannot trust this company, specifically this location to work with my property or earn my money and respect.

Victor and Amanda helped me find my Third Pair of glasses that Tia the district manager was helping me out with. I told Tia the wrong store too!! I told her I was going to santee and accidentally came to El Cajon. I am glad I did because I found the perfect pair of glasses and had fun doing it. Victor was very helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for. He let his personality show and made me feel like one of his friends. Amanda was super busy but made time to make sure I was taken Care of. In fact they were both busy but still made sure I was taken care of. Way to JK team. Can't wait til my lenses get here.

Communication is key and I would have rather started my day without having to emote my disagreement with the conductor before my trek to work.

A few days before my appointment, I came in to ask questions about my insurance and options. One employee was genuinely helpful and told me I'd receive $200 off my contacts if I purchased glasses. That information was the main reason I chose this location and scheduled my appointment. When I returned for my actual visit, the tone was immediately different. The front desk was dismissive, and once I was taken back, the majority of the staff was flat-out rude. The employee who originally helped me wasn't there, and every interaction after that felt like I was inconveniencing them just by asking questions. To be clear, the doctor and the male technician were the only positive part of this experience. They were both kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, everyone else I interacted with completely overshadowed that. When I mentioned the $200 promotion I was told about, the staff acted like I made it up. They questioned how I "heard about it," then openly talked badly about their own coworker to me, saying she's "really old" and often gives incorrect information. That was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable, especially said in front of other customers. Instead of trying to help or clarify, the staff seemed to gang up on me. I was there with my mom, and neither of us felt respected. Getting basic answers required far too much effort, and no one showed any interest in actually helping. To make matters worse, when I finally tried to order glasses, I was told I couldn't get the frame or the color I wanted. When I asked if they could check availability at other locations, they said they couldn't do that. No alternatives. No solutions. Just dead ends. I already don't enjoy going to the mall because the environment feels rundown and stressful, so for me to make the effort to come in and be treated this way made the experience even more frustrating. Between the misinformation, rude behavior, and complete lack of customer service, this location is not worth your time. If you plan on using this company at all, do yourself a favor and go to another location. For what it's worth, Roger the manager was polite, but the behavior of the rest of the staff needs to be addressed, it's a clear reason why this location loses business.

After wearing my new glasses for 4 days, my eyes started to feel strained all day and I was experiencing headaches. I went in for a follow up with the optometrist and received a new prescription. After wearing the second new set of glasses, I experienced the straining and headaches again. I called and was asked to make an appointment for another follow up visit with the optometrist a couple of days later. When I arrived for that visit, I was told that the optometrist would not be seeing me and that he would not be giving me another prescription. It would have been nice to know this before I arrived for that visit instead of being surprised by this news when I arrived. I'm not sure what the reasoning or thinking was here, but I certainly do not feel like I was a valued and respected patient and customer. I received a full refund for the glasses I had purchased from Lenscrafters. When I asked for a refund for the $54 co-pay for the optometrist visit, I was told that I would have to speak with the manager of the Lenscrafters location and was told that he would be giving me a call. Nearly a week later, I still have not heard from the manager. I am now left with a prescription that is no good and will have to pay the full price out of pocket for a visit with another optometrist somewhere else. I have been wearing glasses for 30 years and have visited optometrists and purchased glasses through Lenscrafters many, many times (when my insurance has allowed it). In all of that time, I have never experienced anything remotely like this. This has been a truly disappointing experience. I will never do business with this Lenscrafters location again and am considering not visiting any other Lenscrafters location in the future.

When I first received the glasses, I noticed the lenses had small scratches or some sort of smudge. I brought it up, and without any hassle, he kindly ordered me a new pair of lenses at no extra charge. The replacement lenses were ready within just 2 days, and this time everything looked great. He even let me keep the first lenses he ordered along with an extra glasses frame. Overall, I had a great experience here, mainly because of the excellent customer service and how professionally they handled the situation. They also get the job done quickly. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I need new lenses again.

    I have been going here for about 2 years, but I think it's time to go find a business that cares…read moreabout client needs. These two stars are only because I had a good eye exam experience with them, and it was a delight working with Dr. Jay. I think their rude manager and staff, and overall reluctance to help is their problem. I ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses from them about a month ago. At the time of ordering they told me that it would be ready in two weeks. I leave for a month-long trip out of the country in two days and that was the sole reason I ordered the glasses so far in advance. After multiple calls to enquire, all they keep giving me is answers like we can't do anything to expedite them, our hands are tied, our insurance dictates the lab, etc. I have been with the same insurance for 8 years so it's hard for me to see how my insurance suddenly has stopped working efficiently. They behaved as if I never mentioned my month-long trip ever. They are leaving me voicemails saying your glasses will be ready next Wednesday and the team will promptly call you. Well, my phone will be off and I won't be in the country next Wednesday. One of their rude employees even said "I know everyone would rather have their stuff expedited and have them before time", well after a month of waiting I feel I am hardly asking to "expedite" anything prematurely. The manager didn't even return my call back because I missed her first call and she left me a voicemail after that when I returned her call she wasn't available an di could never get hold of her. It's like they have just decided to not help customers out AT ALL. They are not ready to accept any blame or fix anything and talk to me as if I am at fault for their incompetence. After so many good reviews, I genuinely thought I had found a good optometry in my new community as I value local businesses so much but I am reluctant to do any transaction with them in the future. I know losing ONE customer might not affect businesses but I shouldn't have to beg for good customer service. I am highly saddened and disappointed as a customer to be working with businesses that have no heart, soul, or empathy.
