Right after that someone asked me if I needed. I said no thank you. I went to the line (I was next) the girl who was there was super friendly. She got my item in the matter of a second & I was out. Was wished a good night by her & the same dude at the entrance/exit. Overall a wonderful experience! Two thumbs up.

This is hands down the worst Best Buy I've ever been to. I usually go to the Rego Park location,…read morebut the Lenovo Yoga 9i Copilot 2025 laptop was only available here in limited quantity, so I had no choice but to pick it up at this store. The cashier (an Asian lady) was incredibly pushy and made the whole experience miserable. I repeatedly said no to the insurance, yet she kept pressuring me, lecturing that because it's a $2000 laptop with Copilot it would break, and trying to convince me with discounts and scare tactics. I don't need someone telling me how I'm going to use my own laptop. Then, to top it off, when I asked for a bag, she said they didn't have any. So here I am, a small woman, forced to carry a heavy laptop box through the street while she loudly announces the $2000 price tag for everyone to hear. Absolutely ridiculous and humiliating. No wonder the store was practically empty. Even another customer gave me a strange look during the whole exchange. This was by far the worst shopping experience I've ever had at Best Buy, and I will never step foot in this location again. Best buy needs to look at customer service otherwise we just need to buy online somewhere else!

This was a serendipitous encounter. We walked past Happy Appliances a few times and were hesitant…read moreto go in, as the store's exterior looked more commercially-oriented than for retail buyers and the online reviews were sparse. Don't let the exterior and lack of reviews fool you though, once you talk with them, you'll discover they really know their stuff and have some great deals. After further chatting, I also found out they do have a commercial sales team and real estate developers who buy 143 washers at a time don't write Yelp reviews. Happy Appliances has an incredibly-wide selection: from everyday names like Samsung to higher-end such as Miele and they can procure pretty much anything. John and his team worked hard to find specific models, such as a Bosch 800 series dishwasher, that we were searching for. From start-to-end, our team was very responsive to all follow-up questions via email and even with the pandemic supply chain issues, they tracked down and delivered all appliances within the quoted timeline and price--to a multi-floor walk-up nonetheless! Other retailers, such as Lowes, Home Depot, AJ Madison, and PC Richards were quoting 8-10 month backorder for some appliances. We got all of ours in three. Additionally, Happy Appliances (and its parent company: Happy Electronics) is an authorized vendor for all products we bought (did some independent research before purchasing), so warranty was never a worry. I feel like we discovered a hidden gem and we readily recommend them to our family and friends. As a matter-of-fact, I just went back to replace an old washer/dryer. Ask for John when you go. He's great and really down to earth.

Tim did the research on the top brand name appliances based on dimensions governing the tight gallery sized apartment kitchen. He offered me choices so I could compare and read the reviews. He was upfront about the delivery, installation and haul away costs. He was able to provide a Certificate of Insurance required by my building. Despite a glitch due to the building's aging plumbing, the delivery team was able to reschedule the installation of the dishwasher for a nominal extra fee. Everything fits in its proper place and is working. Very pleased with the selections. Tim is honest and provided great service along with reasonable pricing. I won't be dealing with big box appliance stores any more. Happy Appliances has won my business.

Things are different now, a number of popular eateries are practically neighbors, a brand new luxury apartment building came just last year, and the gentrification of this area is seeing more and more residents flocking here every week. One thing noticeable right away is how big this building is. Most places in the neighborhood rely exclusively on street parking, but this PC Richard & Son has its own spacious parking lot. If people aren't parking, then they're walking from the train station, which is only a couple of blocks away. Inside there are a number of eager associates that are interested in helping anyone and everyone (#2) find what they need. Having dropped by for random things from microwaves to AC units to cords, I've always been approached by someone new practically every time. It might feel somewhat overwhelming for new patrons, but I've come to expect this sort of stuff. Unfortunately, the biggest plight that this location faces is usually the location. Not all the associates are going to be patient and informative, some feel like they're rushing folks without paying much attention to their needs. Prices are on par with appliance / furniture store, so things can go into $$$$ territory real quick. There are deals practically every season and a ton of promotion during their slow months. I always recommend price checking over the phone and calling ahead of time to confirm inventory. ___________ (#1) And at night, it was Dreams and it's many predecessors. (#2) Because ... commission?
