While the initial HVAC and plumbing work appeared acceptable at first, multiple issues became apparent over time. Some installations required repeated adjustments, certain problems were not properly diagnosed the first time, and there were ongoing airflow issues that were never fully resolved. This led to rework and ongoing troubleshooting that a homeowner should not expect from a professional contractor. More concerning was how accountability and professionalism were handled afterward. Items and tools belonging to me that were borrowed during the work were not returned when requested, and communication around resolving this was dismissive rather than professional. This is something consumers should be mindful of when allowing access to their home and property. Based on the quality control, the need for repeated corrections, and how disputes and borrowed property were handled, I can no longer recommend this contractor. I'm sharing this so future customers can make an informed decision and set very clear expectations up front.

An electrician then came out but couldn't figure out how to connect things. Frank painstakingly tested all of the wires in varying combinations and while connecting and disconnecting thermostat and condenser wires to figure out the mess of wires. Eventually, he got it working. He's also an extremely nice guy, who charged something very reasonable given the amount of time he spent working everything out. We will definitely be calling Frank next time we need HVAC help.

I was told by the technician on the job that my system holds 6 pounds.Using the high end of the cost of $600. divided by 30 is = $20. a pound. Needing 6 pounds that equates to $120. I was charged $525. ! Being a businessman for many years I do understand that there is a cost of operation to all materials on a job.However,this is truly price gouging. I will also contact the Attorney General's office for their opinion. It was not long ago that they locked up the CEO ( Martin Shreli ) for a 500 to 600 percent markup of the epa Pen.

This involved running ductwork throughout the house, which they were able to do above the ceilings and through a few closets without having to cut into any of the rooms. And, the work was neat and professional. My only regret is that I didn't have them install central air some time ago.

I put a request in this morning, got a prompt answer, and arranged a time for the service person to come to my home. He was there exactly on time. He figured out what was wrong, gave me a couple of options, and then proceeded with repairs. In a very short time, everything was working again. Before leaving, he asked me to make sure that the heat was working in all 3 "zones" in the house and I checked the hot water as well. I could not have asked for anything better. Couldn't ask for a better system or company to install and work with. Scott is a super nice guy and very conscientious. Because of the great results we had with the first purchase, we selected Carey & Walsh for our second Heater, a boiler system. Weil McLain. Scott and team did a great job with the installation. Went seamlessly. We also purchased two WiFi thermostats that also worked excellent. We did have a glitch with the furnace a year later but Carey and Walsh along with the oil company resolved the issue. In fact, Scott Carey called me off hours to explain the situation and help me out. I highly recommend Carey & Walsh for all your furnace & boiler needs.
