Had a great experience there! Really love the atmosphere. Our server was great as well. Really helpful with the menu. Loved the cocktails. Very well made and some fun options. Really nice presentation of them too. The menu naming cracked me up. Of course, many religious references. Great dance floor and loved the music. Highly suggest checking it out!! Random side note, tons of ladies so if you're a single man, this place is for you.

Living in the East end, how on Earth did I not realise such a cool hidden spot existed right at my backyard. Maybe because I thought it was just another gift shop everytime when I walked past...duuuh, Jessica. Until tonight, the secret door reveals an awesome, cool funky bar. The theme is irrelevant ' The Vatican' . What's the first thing that comes to your mind when I mention Vatican. Church, cross, Catholic, Alter boys, nuns, etc... This is completely the reverse. The decor is cool, has a nice dark edge to it. Bonus points to the server, Allana that helped the table tonight. She's friendly, accommodative, attentive knowledgable and know how to crack a joke or two. To the chef, love the sourdough pizza crust and the two amazing pizza ordered, both equally as tasty and made from fresh ingredients. San Deleo- garlic cream, sausage, onion, kale, mozzarella & Capricciosa - olive, artichoke, fior di latte, mortadella. The meatballs were more appetizers, had a slight homecooked feel to it. Beer selection is fascinating, they have can draft, tap and ever evolving choices. Did I mention how I love the fact they support local craft beers! The music was abit too loud when we stepped in, maybe because there wasn't a crowd. But I heard it's packed during weekends. I'd definitely be back to confess my drinking sins in this Vatican.

One of the best bars around. The cocktails are really good. The food is great too. Great place for a night out with friends.

Loved the pizza! Good wine too. It was noisy but lots of fun. Great idea. Loved the decor. I might dress up as a nun next time I go.

And the servers and hostess were very cordial and accommodating. However, entry into the venue was bit disorienting and disorderly and "security" was also a bit unnecessarily rude when explaining directions and answering questions. My party and I were visiting toronto and this was our first time at Cabana Pool Bar, so everything was just a bit overwhelming when navigating parking/uber drop off, entry into venue, and inquiring table and bottle service. Security (I think) was doing way too much, maybe in anticipation of an unruly crowd, but we noticed everyone was chill and just trying to keep dry from the pouring rain. We would definitely visit again but try to ignore the attitudes of staff outside the venue. Rideshare is highly recommended but you'll still have to walk down Polson street, especially when leaving the venue. Bottle service is ridiculously expensive, especially if you don't drink alcohol. And if you're there for a performance, try delay going into the venue (if you don't have table/bottle service) because most performances start much later in the day unless otherwise stated, and there's (technically) nowhere to sit for free. Also, once you enter the venue, supposedly you are not allowed re-entry if you leave. Btw- the ladies bathroom is large and kept clean, with several stalls, sinks, and mirrors. There's also lounge seating in the bathroom. Overall, not a bad experience, but its worth a visit if you're in the area.

The venue was packed but we managed to get a table. It was great to too the large capacity they could handle. Our server was pretty quick even with the business. They were out of several beers (not surprised they way the guest were ordering pitchers) but I settles on their double IPA. It was delicious! It was a hazy and I do get tired of them but this was nice and refreshing. We ordered a few sides and the winner for sure was the Kobe beef Gyoza. Suck great flavor! The atmosphere was electric with Fifa going on and was fun to be apart of a goal. Overall great spot and was surprised by the quality of the beer. Wish I lived closer.
