Throughout the process he talked through his thoughts and really demonstrated his master electrician knowledge and problem solving capabilities. We settled on installing a new transformer in our garage that would be easy to get to and be the least amount of damage to run the wires. Chris was a pleasure to work with. Pricing was fair. He is honest, reliable, great communicator, and very respectful of your home. Being Asian, no shoes in the house is important to me and he was so kind to take his shoe booties on and off depending on where he was working. He and his apprentice were able to run a dedicated line from our subpanel in the garage right outside to the sauna. They also installed the heater and temperature sensor (this is highly recommended by the heater companies! Don't install these without professional help!) The work was completed professionally, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. It took them a few hours but they finished it the same day. It's hard to find contractors who are both reliable and fairly priced, but Caldera Power Services delivered on both. He worked with limited space (small sub-panel) and some neutral wire length constraints. Rather than try to upsell another, more costly solution, he was able to work with what I had to produce a high quality result at a very competitive price. The second work item I had Peter help me with was installing a 40 amp 2 pole breaker and an accompanying NEMA 14-50 receptacle for EV charging. He did a fast, clean and high quality job. Everything works perfectly! Before coming, Peter and I corresponded a lot through phone and text. He asked me great questions about my specific use case and tailored a solution to my use case. I appreciated how thoughtful and thorough he was in explaining everything he wanted and needed to do. He kept exactly to what we discussed and didn't try to upsell/do any necessary work. This was a very honest and pleasant experience. Price wise, he was the most competitive by far (probably because he was the most honest about what he would do). I live in a condo building which can provide obstacles for running wire and conduit. He was able to install a subpanel next to my meter and run it from the electrical room to my parking space. He had to make some small holes through walls but it was no problem for him. Don't be confused by the name. He installs all chargers. I told him that I bought the GIF outlets from Amazon for $19 and yet he charged me $75 to replace an additional one. I never left a review for him. I'm posting a review for Yireh Electric now. I was overcharged for the job replacing 2 fluorescent light fixtures doesn't cost what he charged but now I know. He did a great job but price wise was a ripoff!!!!!
