Vdara...shame on you. My boyfriend had to book the Vdara because he had to attend a work conference. And to say the experience was a debacle is even an understatement in itself. As if a grueling travel time of over 7-9 hours wasn't enough, once we cleared the ridiculous check in line, we got a room that wasn't even cleaned. It was trashed. Begrudgingly, we had to trudge back downstairs to express our terrible experience and they managed to book us on a higher floor with a $50 voucher. Honestly, the cleaning standard of the Vdara is very subpar. Even in a clean room, there are many mystery stains, and you feel uncomfortable and constantly dirty in a "clean room" in itself. So much so, I don't even trust the kitchens to be clean enough to really use the $50 voucher. Don't believe me? See the photos and video for yourself. Vdara, do better. read more

I have never laughed harder at the idea of a 5-star rating for a place. These rooms are old, beat up, filthy, and cheap. The staff have all been nice and super pleasant to interact with but that's about the only positive to this place. Everyone has their own standards, and I don't know what your house looks like - to each their own - but this bathroom is gross to me. The uncleaned filters, the gunk build up, lumpy-bumpy-and stained toilets!!! What is that white substance all over everything?????? Why are the shower heads allowed to look like that?? What about the floors? Omg honestly, it's awful. Want a robe? Need to call down to get one. It'll be scratchy and thin. Want slippers? Call down. Want *soap*? Call down. Want bath salts? Call down. Want PLATES AND UTENSILS with your in-room dining? Spend $125 (or call down to housekeeping). It's just cheap and ridiculous. The rooms are depressing. The suites do not make it any better. Honestly avoid at all costs. If you're used to genuine 5-star hotels then this place will be laughable. You cannot control bedside lights from the bed, you cannot control blinds or anything else from the bed. Terrible design, layout, and features. But the dirtiness is truly what puts me over the edge here. If you face the pool you will hear a ridiculously loud emcee every few minutes + music. I have faced pools in both the Aria and Four Seasons and haven't heard any noise. This is a Vdara problem. If you face the fountain then you experience black out shades *that do not black out*, it will be bright in those shade gaps!! read more

Sad what has become of this property. We've stayed at this resort a few times and always loved it. That's why we go back. But this may have been the last time. They simply are not keeping up the rooms and service. We booked a fountain view studio which we were excited about. On previous stays we've had the fountain view and it's fun to watch. On this stay they offered us an upgrade to a panoramic suite, which ended up on the 6th floor). Awful! Unless you want to stare at a wall of windows at the Aria (see pics). The room was also dirty and run down. On the nice side, it is a good location with easy access to the Bellagio and Cosmopolitan. They also provided complementary clothes detergent and dryer sheets for the in room laundry. I think will try something different on our next Vegas stay. read more

Absolutely horrible. Got in room settled in and toilet was broken, then pull out bed was stained and had food in it. They switched us rooms ,and trash was not empty, and had medical supplies in it, then fridge was broken. Spent two hours up and down elevators switching rooms. Not easy with a person with a disability with me. Next day asked for housekeeping in morning. Called 5 times throughout day and it's now 8:00 and still no one here. Spent hours on phone, on hold, in line trying to get fixed. They always feel bad, but still no follow through. I had higher expectations. read more

We come here often. This time it was for a baseball tournament . 2 of the front desk ladies Allyssa and Sahar remember us and greet us like friends. We always feel welcome and taken care of . Unfortunately this visit was different. After a lovely early check in with Allyssa we went to our room. I tried to shower after my travels but my shower wouldn't get hot. Then when I tried to call Maintenance our room phone didn't work. After calling on my phone we were assured both issues would be addressed. We went to the pool and had a nice dinner and went to bed. The next morning before an early day at the field I had a miserable cold shower at 6 am. On the way to the ball fields I visited Amber at the front desk. After telling her about the issues she said " you have 2 showers in your suite " I guess I was supposed to use my son and daughter in laws shower? I replied we paid for a suite and I wanted my shower fixed. She then said " oh you were upgraded" and I said we paid for the upgrade and expect 2 working bathrooms. I work in customer service and would never argue with a customer. So after our uncomfortable conversation I left it in her hands. When we returned for the day , everything was unaddressed still. Also our room hadn't been cleaned at 3:30. We had to ask housekeeping twice that afternoon for more towels and finally at 5:00 a lady came to clean our room. By the way she did an excellent job and I don't think the oversight was her fault. Fortunately when I went back to the front desk to address the shower for the 3rd time Sahar was there and she came through and she was able to get maintenance to our room to fix it. Our phone was never fixed. We feel there was a huge disconnect with customer service and communication this visit. I hope it is just a hiccup or we will find a new Las Vegas home. read more

Stayed here for two nights following our small, intimate legal wedding. We were excited to pay for the "upgrade" but it didn't really feel like one. Trying to get there was a hassle as the signs do not tell you there is valet only at Vdara. You must park at Aria if you want to do self parking. Valet is $35-40 a night depending on the day you stay. It was a weekend so it cost $80 to valet on top of the expensive room. Upon entry, the hotel is pretty, but small - the check in lobby, a small waiting area, Starbucks, 24 hour market cafe, and an indoor/patio bar. We stayed on the 11th floor. Elevators need the digital room key to work.. took a minute for a lot of people to get upstairs and we eventually made it. Similar to another review, our fridge wasn't working and we called concierge three times. No one ever came up. The second day house keeping walked into the room even with the tv sound being on and loud.. while we were in the room so that was interesting. The bed is comfortable and we had a nice view of the pool and front of the hotel/ aria building. We don't gamble or drink so this was nice to have to walk to other casinos and walk back, however the rooms are a bit outdated. The iPad wasn't even working and that's supposed to be one of the cool parts of the hotel. Needless to say we probably would opt for something else that's more convenient to park at/ have more food options in the future for the price we paid. read more

I somehow managed to get booked into a timeshare unit or some such via their booking engine. When I arrived at 2pm they told me the room wasn't ready. I had to change for a 3pm meeting so I asked if I could be given another lesser room as I was only staying for one night. They told me no because I was in one of their "owners units". I just needed to shower and change for a meeting but they wouldn't help me. Ended up rinsing off in the sink of the casino. read more

Recently stayed at Vdara Hotel and Spa and really enjoyed the smoke- and casino-free environment with modern and relatively clean room and spa-like bathrooms...oh I utilized that soaking tub both nights! Place is dog and family friendly...of course, I saw many guests with their dogs parading in the lobby for Best in Show...so cute! Pool area is quiet, kid friendly, relaxing, no loud music, or screaming people. Rooms are relatively quiet with black-out shades and drapes so you don't get the flashing neon and bright lights shining in your room. A Market Cafe and bar located downstairs with casinos in walking distance from Aria and Bellagio. So if you have the urge to gamble, eat, shop, people watch, its all in walking distance along The Strip. The only minor issue I have is when you first walk in, the place smells wonderful, but after walking in an out multiple times it was evident they dispense some 'fragrance' around the outside and as you walk thru the entrance...wasn't a fan. Overpriced. Poor customer service. A bottle of pop was 6.50 on Thursday. 8.00 on Friday, Saturday. No free coffee. On Sunday morning I paid 9.00 for a 12oz cup of coffee with no refills. $40 a night to park your car overnight at the hotel you are paying to stay at I will never go back to Vdara or Vegas ever again. Gaming at Aria was horrible. Played a machine called Prosperity, I bet 1.76 per spin and it gave me a random bonus game with 10 free spins and won .70 cents. WTF Cashed out and went to a non MGM property for gaming and it was better. But not much. The only people who I seen winning were betting $25 bucks a spin. There's only 2 types of players in Vegas, regular people like me & Platinum Members. It's a shithole, that the average American can no longer afford! read more

If you're looking for an affordable spot off the strip with easy access to the bigger names, then I'd recommend this place, but if money was not an issue and I wanted a true luxury experience I'd likely select elsewhere. My accommodations were arranged for me as I was traveling for business. My flight had me arriving in Vegas at 9am, got to the hotel by 9:30, and unfortunately my room was not ready for another two hours. Not a huge deal, but since the event was starting off with lunch at noon it would have been nice to have more time to relax and freshen up. When I got the text my room was ready, I went to the front desk. The woman said, "And they texted you your room was ready?" in a questionable tone that should have been my red flag. I opened the door to the room I was instructed was mine only to find it was already occupied by a fellow attendee, who did not react well to me unexpectedly entering. Absolutely embarrassing all around. I'm still unsure how this could have happened. When I finally got to a vacant room, I was greeted by a scratched up mini fridge that ran particularly loudly (thankfully it did not disrupt my sleep). The fridge built into the kitchen spot was off, I guess not working? It did not smell great though, so I was happy to keep it closed. The rest of the room was spacious but you're not really given much else. I was shocked to not even see a coffee machine of any kind, which must be a push for you to give your money to the Starbucks downstairs unless you'd like to pay $20/day for a KEURIG. And while there is a small stovetop in the kitchen, don't expect there to be any cutlery without having to request it. The bathroom also had the most basic toiletries available, which can easily be remedied by a trip to the nearby CVS, Walgreens, or Target. I didn't bother to call the front desk as I was unsure whether it would incur an additional charge. The market downstairs also has some basics, but I was really looking for bath products for the nice-sized bathtub, shocked to find there weren't any. I will say the staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the conference space and dining area that were reserved for us also worked out well. From the view of my business trip, things went off without a hitch. I didn't get to try the spa or pool, as both seemed to close by early in the evening, which was a shame. I also see the appeal of this place with easy access to the Aria, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan and not having its own casino inside. It gives you space to have some breathing room (literally, when everywhere else is tobacco smoke or weed). If you're looking for the luxury experience, you'll luck out elsewhere. There is ZERO internet connection- you can't watch Netflix or Hulu or anything except what is offered at any specific time on their cable service- is that believable in 2025? Nice place! Climate-controlled (obviously lovely in Nevada) and the 'studio' room was *huge.* The bathroom was about as big as my kitchen at home with a shower and a tub. There were these electric curtains that it took me a bit to figure out but once I did, and they were raised, it was like seeing the face of a god. Love, love, love that it is non-smoking. I was not prepared for how dry and smokey the rest of the city would be and it was so nice to have a clean, cool, respite. The room had a king size bed, a sofabed, a fridge, microwave, electric hotplate and even a kitchen sink! (You could call the front desk for pans/utensils, too.) And the place was only like ~250 a night on short notice. (Like, I booked the room the night I arrived) It's still the most expensive hotel I have stayed at as of late but that's not saying much as I am cheap and like to say in hostels. I stayed here about 11 yrs ago. Much haven't changed. The bathroom was the high point, and it's still the high point. Not many hotels on the strip have a kitchen, microwave, or tub. So the Vdara has its benefits. But this is a hotel, spa hotel. No casino. But they are associated with many other MGM hotels nearby that you can get your free play if you have them. Food comps can be used for room service. The electric shades and blackout are pretty cool for when you want to let all the sun in or keep it out. The full bar can cost you a pretty penny if you wish to use it. But if you were going downstairs to grab a few drinks, the room bar could prove to be less expensive. And safer. The color scheme is really nice and gives off a warm home feeling. They give you plenty of drawer and closet space to utilize. The TV is a nice size, but programming is weak. Basic TV and advertisements channels. Because they are MGM, I used points and got 3 night 4 days days for only service fees and taxes. Great deal. But they do charge you $100 a day security fee. So beware of that. I checked out the pool area, but it was closed all week. It's possibly because the temp just got up to 77 since Monday. The gym is really nice. I road the bike for 50 mins and a few weights. But I can see it being crowded in the morning when many like to get their workout on. But they are only open till 5pm, which is very early for such a large hotel. This hotel has so many reasons why it will be my hotel of choice when I come to Vegas read more

I had to stay an extra because of a snow storm in NYC. When my wife booked the extra day they charged $210 more than they had it listed on their own site. I went back to the front desk and they change it to the lower rate. When I received my credit card bill I saw they charged me for the rate my wife book and also charged a second charge for the same day and room. I called them and they refused to give me a credit saying I was a no show, and hung up on me. Beware, beware, beware , if you don't watch them they will over charge you. read more

I just stayed here a year and a half ago and it was great. What in the world happened!?! A four night stay and they put me in quite possibly the worst room for my class of executive corner suite. No view, beat up as hell furniture, and I had to go down the hall and find my own towels from housekeeping cart after waiting six hours to get some after calling. My best advice, don't stay here. Management has no empathy for rectifying situation and only says we will bring the cleaning crew. Ok great but when? They don't know but the request is in. Details: Manager Barkhmar Kosa is young and truly inexperienced making him the worst hotel manager I've ever come across. He lacks the managerial depth to rectifying a situation to make customers happy. Simply stating we can move you to a lower level room. Punishing me for calling them out is what it felt like. We paid for a "panoramic suite" $1200 which had dusty AC filters, window sills, nightstands, sticky bathroom floors and black stuff in shower tile grout. Stayed here while attending a security conference. Good things first - the place is modern and clean. The rooms are great and spacious. The food is pretty decent too. The not so good - they had a cyber attack and it took me over an hour to check in since all their systems were down. The manager was rude and when I expressed concern about the way they were handling personal and sensitive data, he curtly told me that he would be happy to cancel my reservation without charging me a penalty and I could go stay some place else (at 10 pm in the night, after a 6 hour flight, and standing in line for 70 minutes to check in - very classy (not)! ). Also the place is not very walkable from the strip, and the Uber drivers seem to have a hard time finding it. Definitely not staying here when I return. read more

Disappointing Stay - Not What I Expected from Vdara I stayed at Vdara from April 13-17, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I expected. The problems started when we discovered the garbage disposal in our suite was broken and leaking foul-smelling water directly onto my wife's Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag. I know accidents happen however the way the staff and management reacted was far from acceptable, I kept getting brushed off like it was no big deal, and I talked them3 separate times trying to explain to them how upset my wife was to have to clean that grossness off her bag and blow dry it and pray it didn't permanently mess it up or leave a bad smell in it. Time will tell. As if that wasn't bad enough, we were repeatedly woken up by a car alarm going off in the middle of the night--three nights in a row. It turned out to belong to an employee who works next door at the Bellagio. It's baffling that hotel security wasn't able to address the issue after the first night. Between the management issues, the lack of urgency from staff, and the sleepless nights, this stay was frustrating and disappointing. I expected a much higher standard from Vdara. read more

Husband and friend are currently at the Vdara, hotel customer service is wildly unhelpful after my husband almost slipped in the room due to water leaking down the wall and soaking the carpet/bathroom area. Apparently, the Vdara is a 5-star hotel? I would rate it closer to a 4-star experience. I definitely had a clear list of pros and cons in my head: Cons: 1. The room needed a good sweep and wipe down. There were stains on the floor and counter in the bathroom when we arrived. Also, a remnant cocktail straw was in the garbage disposal... Definitely not 5-stars based on this alone. 2. The gym has super limited hours...8 AM-5 PM. Don't count on an evening workout. The weight section got pretty crowded in the morning. Fortunately, it was mostly a bunch of dudes, so they all just went for the heavy dbs. No one dares kick a 5 ft female off the cable machine LOL. 3. The fridge is TINY. I mean tiny. It is long but has no depth (front to back). We had to ask for take out boxes at dinner specific to the fridge's layout. Pros: 1. Great location. Right in the center of the strip. And it is easy to get to the Cosmo and Aria. Plus, for Lyft and Uber rides the hotel basically feeds off right into the freeway which is convenient. 2. Also, in regards to the gym, free flavored water (one day cucumber infused and the other day strawberry/orange infused), bananas, and little water bottles. They had nice, new looking treadmills and a decent amount of equipment for the small size. 3. Big glass windows with wall operated control buttons. The view at night is great with the giant window. Also, the blackout and other shades are controlled on the wall by pressing a button so you can put them partially up and down. The room layout we had (living room and bed split by tvs on a wall) was nice and made the room feel bigger. The bathroom itself is nice with a tub and big shower. We got a great deal on our stay here with Black Friday prices so I can't complain much. But, I can complain about cleanliness when thousands of people have been in the room...it seems they did a better job cleaning at the previous 4- star hotels (Signature, Hilton Villas, Delano) where we stayed. This was a nice home base while in Vegas for a few days with my husband who was here for a conference. It's centrally located on the strip but removed just a bit as it's hidden behind The Cosmopolitan and is across from Aria. It doesn't have a casino but is easily walkable to Aria (2 min walk) and the Cosmopolitan and Bellagio via connected glass enclosed walkways and has a tram to Bellagio if you don't want to walk. Vdara is a bit calmer and caters more to the business crowd but has the other options within only a moments walk. From the Cosmopolitan you can walk directly out onto the Vegas strip in front of Planet Hollywood across the street or directly beside the Bellagio. I loved it for those reasons. It's a short walk to the main attractions and has loads of dining options available. All rooms are suites with a small kitchen and the beds are comfy and toiletries smell light and fresh and delightful. There is a small 24-hr cafe in the main lobby with breakfast lunch and snacks available and a Starbucks. Uber and Lyft pickup are easy here right in front - not a 20 minute walk through the casino to the parking garage in back. So that was nice when we needed to take a cab to a show or dinner. It's not super fancy but it's reasonable and well located and a bit quieter if that is your thing. read more

The bed was fixed but there were trash everywhere i guess it was from the previous guests. There were drinks, the blower was still plugged in and a leftover donut beside the table bed. We waited for one hour but still when we got back to our room there were still leftovers inside our fridge. it was worse but we were tired and we didnt have energy to have arguments with the housekeeping and the front desk. Currently staying at the Vdara Hotel, and so far, it has not lived up to our expectations. We booked this hotel anticipating a 5-star experience, but everything from the slow customer service to the unmaintained and dirty rooms has been a letdown. At first, we were quite pleased. It's our first time staying here, and we appreciated that the hotel is smoke-free and casino-free, which is important to us as we have little ones with us. The view from our room is also something we've enjoyed. However, the positives pretty much end there. When we started unpacking, the issues began to pile up. The customer service has been frustratingly slow--it takes over 10 minutes just to get connected to the front desk, and I found myself on hold for an unreasonable amount of time. Even a 2 or 3-star hotel would typically answer calls from the rooms promptly. As for the room itself, it seems like it hasn't been occupied for a while. The bathroom faucet is wobbly and in need of repair, the bathtub was dirty upon our arrival, the tablet in the room was dead and grimy, and parts of the room were quite dusty. There's nothing upscale about a room that isn't properly maintained. This might be acceptable in a lower-star hotel, but from a 5-star establishment, we expected proper functionality and meticulous cleanliness. We're here until Thursday (Aug 22, 2024), and I hope the experience improves as our stay continues. read more

The AC in our room wasn't working properly. Cooling slightly but it was way too hot in there to be comfortable. It took 2 phone calls and 2 in-person visits to the front desk to finally be moved to a new room. The manager said the maintenance crew changed the filter the first time we called about the issues?! Guess what? The filter wasn't the problem. The next day is was even warmer and there was water in the closest by the AC unit. There was little empathy from the manager and no credit offered. We have stayed here several times and it gets worse each time. Never again! I will say I do like the walkway to Bellagio and that it's smoke free. Rooms are fine. Nothing fancy. Now this joint was dope! The views are great. The service is great. The rooms are great. I stayed in Vegas many times but I like this one a lot! The view is superior. You can get a really good view of the Bellagio fountain and of the strip as well. They have a market area where you can get food and stuff at random times of the day. Have a full bar, which actually has a really good selection. And a Starbucks on campus as well, right at the door. The rooms are very good, well he's doing that I had, but it seems like you have to ask for everything individually, like a coffee maker, which usually is already in the room on its own. So that just takes a little time, that's not fun to wait for somebody to bring up something at every other hotel would have normally, but they're still fairly quick about it when you talk about service though so I'm not upset. That's just different. The lobby area has the bar and a bunch of lounge area to hang out and watch TV as well. Have indoor and outdoor so you can actually get it your way depending on what you're looking for or where you feel like sitting at. It is really something that looks to be customer friendly. I initially wasn't sure if we would enjoy staying at the Vdara, because we did not come to Vegas for business and knew Vdara caters to business travelers. We came mainly for the shows, food, and nightlife. We especially loved staying at Aria previously on our first trip to Vegas, and we love the energy and all that it offers. I am so glad to be proven wrong, and I can say that I would choose Vdara over ARIA any day. To get to the back entrance of ARIA from my room took me only four minutes, so the walk is just enough time to get some fresh air before hitting up the casino. I like that there is no Casino. You don't have to walk through a maze of a casino when you're just trying to go out to the strip. But if you do want to gamble, there are three of the biggest and best casinos on the strip, all within a two minute walk away. There's the ARIA casino, the Bellagio casino and the cosmopolitan Casino. And what's even better is that the cosmopolitan and Bellagio are connected by an indoor walkway now so you are always steps away from the action. It made it so much more convenient to get around and hop around between ARIA cosmopolitan and Bellagio, as we previously had to walk all the way around to get to either of the entrances, which took at least eight to 10 minutes. Not only that, but the "Aria" tram will take you to Aria and park mgm! The Aria tram is actually useless at the Aria stop because it's faster to walk. At Vdara it's perfectly for getting to all the best restaurants. Another one of my favorite things about the Vdara is that every room is a suite. The first time we came to Vegas, we stayed at Aria, we wanted to try a few different dishes at Best Friend at Park MGM and take the rest home. Unfortunately, at Aria, there's no choice except to eat it all or have it go to waste, because they don't have a mini fridge in the standard rooms. But at Vdara, we loved the fridge and happily ate leftovers the next day, and it saved us a lot of money and time. The rooms are very well kept for their age. I know the Aria standard rooms and Vdara have not been renovated since they opened in 2008 and a renovation is something it's like to see in the near future. The facilities still look modern, and the gym and spa are very up to date. I noticed a minor details with the housekeeping that could have been improved, but I also have a very high standard for cleanliness. I was very happy with the room we were given and we were upgraded from a studio to a studio stay well fountain view for free due to mgm status. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay at Vdara again. In fact, we already have our next trip booked for November and I hope it can live up to our recent amazing stay. read more

Always constant and never disappointed at this hotel!! I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend this fine hotel. Like other MGM properties, there is a dedicated MGM reward (with gold status and up) line when checking in. Top notch customer service, house keeping is prompt, and love the clean modern ambiance. We had issues with our reservations before we even arrived. I had to call three different times to get the reservations corrected. When we checked in, we were given the wrong room number information. We took everything up to our "room" but the room number they wrote on our room cards did not exist. We had to go all the way back downstairs to do everything all over again and get us into an actual room. This is without any offer to assist with the bags we had to carry up and down twice (to the 24th floor) due to a mistake that was not ours. When we got into that room, the shower was filthy. There was hair on the shower grout as well as cacked on conditioner is what it looked like. We let the front desk know and they said they would send someone up to clean the next morning while we were at the spa. When we got back to the room the next day after our spa appointment, the hair was STILL IN THE SHOWER. It had not been cleaned at all. We attempted to call the front desk a few times and no one would answer. The bed was made but nothing else was done. Along with these issues, the ice machine on our floor was out of order. The front desk gave a key to use the floor below ours but the key didn't work. We had to have it reprogrammed MULTIPLE times to get to the floor just to get ice. We are a customer service-oriented family and for a hotel that we thought was going to be nice and would hold themselves to a higher standard, we found staff lacking compassion, unwilling to offer assistance, and just a complete lack of urgency when a customer complaint was made. It felt as though we, as the paying guests, were inconveniencing them when we had an issue with anything. Overall one of our worst stays in a hotel in a long time. I was deeply disappointed with the staff and how issues were handled. I reached out after our stay to make sure they knew about the issues, and they only offered to refund the resort fees. After letting them know that wasn't enough they offered $150 in food and beverage credit towards our bill. When I requested the itemized version of the bill, THEY CHARGED US FOR ALL THE ITEMS IN THE ROOM (water, alcohol, a couples kit, gummy bears, and coffee) all of which we did NOT use. So their $150 in credit was for items we didn't even use. I am furious. Absolutely horrible service. 0/10 do not recommend to anyone. I have also attached the picture that I took of the shower after the "cleaning" that was done by staff after our original complaint the day we checked in. read more

Overall, this was a wonderful experience! The lobby, cleanliness of room, comfort of room, size of room were all above par. No complaints. Vdara is situated between Aria and Cosmopolitan and offers indoor bridgeways to Cosmopolitan and Bellagio. Unfortunately, the walk-way to Aria requires you to go outside, so be mindful of the heat. It's only about a 2 min walk, but still. Vdara itself doesn't offer a huge selection of restaurants, but Vice Versa in the lobby is an inviting space and offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. There is also a Starbucks and a Marketplace in the Lobby. The Starbucks in Vdara gets slammed at peak times and often they will turn off their Mobil order. I walked over to Cosmopolitan Starbucks several times and round-trip it was about a 20 min walk. Not bad and you get some quick steps in. Both Aria and Cosmopolitan offer food courts with fast casual bites. Additionally, Aria Cosmopolitan and Bellagio offer upscale dining, bars, cocktail lounges and night life. Between the 3 properties there is alot to choose from. The 4 vs 5 rating was tough as I'd like to give a 4.5. Taking the point came down to the parking situation. Having a car for Vdara you can either do Valet at 35/40 per night or Self-Park in Aria at 18. The Self-Park at Aria requires you to walk from Vdara thru Aria to get there. The length of the walk isn't the worst, but when you have your luggage it's not great. I did valet the first night until I could test out the Self-Park walk and weigh my options. I first stayed at Vdara shortly after it first opened in 2009 and loved it for the following reasons: - no casino, which means no casino smoke. The smoke in Las Vegas really gets to me causing headaches and congestion - location, mid strip which means you can easily make your way north or south - the rooms, all suites with a kitchenette, living room, bedroom and large bath, the rooms are perfect for two people or a small family - the fitness center, perfect size with plenty of equipment - cleanliness & customer service - Starbucks, which I guess every Vegas hotel has, but this one is located right when you walk in the door Returning this week, over 10 years after my initial visit, and all of the above are still true. The customer service from arrival, throughout our stay until departure was outstanding. On this trip we also enjoyed the pool, both at Vdara & Aria - having access to both adds to the value of this place. We also walked over to Aria daily for their dining options, just a quick 5 minute walk which was nice to get outside and get some steps in before indulging at Proper Eats Food Hall (located inside Aria on the 2nd floor - highly recommend checking this out also). The only reason why I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is because the guest rooms could use some updating, which I hear is planned for next year. But until then I'll happily return next time I find myself needing to stay on the Las Vegas strip. read more

I was happy to have tried this hotel. I love hotels and we try to stay at a different one each time we pop into Vegas so this was a new one for us. It was an odd experience though at the beginning. We got dropped off via Uber from the airport early in the morning to Elara across the street. Thinking nothing of it we made the trek with our bags to Vdara instead. But while walking there via the Crystal shops a bum who wasn't right in the head chased us all the way into the shops and threw stuff at us lol it was kinda scary because we at 1st didn't know what he was throwing at us. We reported it but it got us a bit shaken all the way to Vdara. We got there ok and really liked the lobby and had the nicest checkin. Found out we can check in early in the morning and got up to our room. It was a nice big room. However my husband kept smelling something saying it's weed lol I thought it was more like heavy cologne or the room spray but the smell lingered and got me kinda light headed. We opened the door and tt a cleaning lady and she said yes that's weed. We called down for a room change and they were really accommodating. We got a room change and it looked a bit different. Less big? Not sure but still quite nice. I love the space here. And we loved the MGM food and beverage credit that came with the stay. We got to utilize that well over the next few days. The view and room was nice. Really enjoyed it. I can't give it a 5 stars because of the initial room situation. Wished they cleaned it thoroughly and rid the weed party smell. Furthermore we stayed at Waldorf and Crockfords after and this can't compare. But we did like where this hotel is situated. The view was nice, the room is nice and big and comfortable too. The bathroom was pretty. Felt private and secluded vs other Vegas hotels. It's a pretty hotel. Worth a visit! read more

Warning! Do not throw away their shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles even if they are empty! They will charge you $25 per bottle plus tax for them. They charged me a total of $108.36 because as usual my mom was trying to be nice and help out the maid. She usually brings a big garbage bag to through our trash throughout our stay because we don't ask for maid service. When checking out after our 4 night stay the bottles were empty so she threw them out. The bottles were not full when we checked in and the pumps were terrible and so hard to use. Told my mom stop trying to help out and be so nice I called the front desk and they said the $108.36 was because starting January 2025 they refill the bottles and they charged us because the bottles were gone. They did not have any signs stating not to throw out the shampoo bottles and that you would be charged if you do. Is this just a VDARA thing or are all the MGM properties doing this? For $108.36 I could buy a lot better shampoo than the one they supply. So beware and don't throw those bottles away or you will be charged. I think that is just being really petty in my opinion. When I called the front desk they said that they wouldn't reverse the charges even if I asked to speak to a manager. LUCKILY, I HAVE THE VERY BEST MGM HOST...ERIC EISENBERG!!! He took care of the situation for me. He always responds promptly to all my emails and request. He basically goes above and beyond what is required of being a host. I have Seven Stars status for the Caesars properties and my hosts at Caesars are practically non-existent or not helpful. Every host should take lessons from Eric on how to be a GREAT HOST!!!! STAY AWAY FROM VDARA 1 Star hotel- dated, dirty, bad service, overpriced, no housekeeping, and hardly any proper management. JUST STAY HOME VDara has been a long time staple for my family. We frequent this property about every other month for at least a weekend. We love the concept of the separate living area, kitchenette, spacious bath etc. However, it seems as of late, and by that I mean in the past year of visiting their cleanliness and level of service has shattered. What was once a plentiful and inviting environment has not become a complete disaster of a hotel. The housekeeping is always busy, I'm not sure doing what, because nearly every time we visit for over a year now, our room is ALWAYS DIRTY! If it's not the sheets, it's the carpet being filthy, or the sink or drain being clogged, the StayWell cleansing filter being out, or nonstop handprints EVERYWHERE. The list is endless, and some how we get a comp for a meal, or a removal of a resort fee, BUT, our trip with two little ones is almost always ruined because we are waiting on housekeeping or talking to an unpleasant attendant. AND THIS TRIP, was icing on the cake! Luis the hotel manager is ruthless and MEAN! After numerous issues with our room, and being assured that we'd be moved to a StayWell suite by a different manager, we waited the ENTIRE DAY with two kids. Let me repeat that, THE ENTIRE DAY IN OUR ROOM, we WAITED. Then Luis, the "manager" simply declined and denied our request! He made us wait 9 hours just to move from our StayWell room into a regular room with just a few feet of extra square footage. When we asked why the sudden change, he told us literally, it was either this or stay where you are! What in the actual??????? This is not a five star hotel, that service is below a ZERO. I am SO INCREDIBLY disheartened by our recent experiences, I no longer EVER want to return to this hotel ever again. Trust me Mom and Dads we will figure out a way versus checking in here for kitchenettes and refrigerators. This place is now a trash shoot, and there is no one, not a single soul to viably file a complaint to. Where are the higher ups? Why has this beautiful hotel turned into a trash bin? Why isn't anyone doing anything to make it better?!? Here's to quality Yelpers, and Vdara sure as heck doesn't have it. read more
