If you're interested in being overcharged, the Vdara might be the place for you! I've stayed at the Vdara twice now and will not be back. After both of my visits, I had to call to dispute mini-bar charges that were on my bill. I never touched the minibar. After my first visit, they fought me on the refund, saying they were going to have to send someone up to the room to confirm nothing was missing from the minibar, but they couldn't do it right then because the next guests had already checked in. I told them this didn't make sense as the next guests could partake of the minibar, so when they go up to check, items could then be missing. She said that how it had to be and for me to call back in a few days to check in on this or remind them of my issue. At least today when I called to dispute the $35 charge, the person who answered the phone was nice, removed the charge without hassle, and sent me an updated folio. Since this happened on both of my trips, the only opinion I can land on is that this is an intentional practice and they are hoping that people don't check their folio. On this trip, there was not a remote for the TV anywhere in sight and I had to call the front desk. It took nearly an hour for someone to deliver one. And, there were obvious plumbing issues. We had to call maintenance because the toilet wouldn't flush. And, at least once an hour, a loud gurgling noise came from the bathroom. If you're looking for luxury, I'm sure there's a Motel 6 around that can accommodate your needs, I imagine it will be better than this place. read more

Hotel is not bad, pretty lobby and nice bar. No casino so that's a bummer. Just depends on what you are looking for. It's very quiet here. Also, there's no restaurant. But it's connected to Bellagio and Cosmopolitan and Aria is across the street so there are walkable options. The rooms are nice, but it needs a little updating, a few chips and scratches on the furniture. It's not horrible, though. One little warning for you about the lobby ATM: I got $20 out and and the service charge was $11.95! read more

Wow! I was shocked. We've been to Vdara many times throughout the years. This time, we were told that if you use the paper cups with the coffee condiments inside... NO COFFEE... they charge you $18. Now... this is without using the coffee pods. These items throughout the years used to be complimentary. I also did not see any posting on the items that stated the charge was going to be made. This is CRAZY! Called down to the front desk to voice my opinion. I will think twice before coming back. It used to be one of my favorite hotels. It's a nice hotel next to Aria. While this hotel lacks amenities most casino hotels have (restaurants, clubs, casino, entertainment, other fun stuff/services), the rooms/suites do provide a good place for rest and/or shuteye. Rooms feature a kitchenette, bathroom, living area with sofa bed and TV, and bed area with TV as well. Different suites offer other/upgraded amenities. Studio - Kitchenette comes with dining table for two, small refrigerator, microwave, electric stove and sink. Studio with Bellagio Fountain View is great! I got a suite at the 42nd floor Panoramic suite offers dining table for 4 with a kitchen having full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwavw, electric stove and sink. It also comes with washer and dryer units. Be aware though that the panoramic suite is such a disappointment if you're placed on lower levels. We got the 5th floor facing the garage (pretty funny and disturbing having that scenery if you plan on soaking in the bath tub with the drapes open hahaha). Kitchen pots, cutleries, dishes, utensils, dish soap and others are available upon request. Although it's missing the casino and restaurant amenities or jive, it is so close to the other hotels. Aria is right beside the hotel, about 3-minute walk from the entrance. Cosmopolitan is about 7-15 minute walk. read more

This hotel honestly should have 0 stars. Unbelievably awful service all the way from the start to the end. This place has nothing to do with Vegas, unless you what to stay in Vegas and forget that you are in Vegas (not a compliment!). The most ridiculous is the view - strip view! You better be kidding me! 80% of the road view (look at the images), however if you going really in the corner and pull your neck all the way forward - you might see a tiny piece of the strip. For people who never stayed in a better place - if you stayed in Bellagio, Palazzo or any of these - keep away from this place. Attached are the images, look at this kitchenet - last time I saw something this style was in Ukraine where I was born 50 years ago. I have no words to describe rude and above rude service all around - housekeeping, receptionists, management, room service - the don't care attitude. I had a room on the 47th floor and I loved the bed in the room! It was very comfortable and seemed like it formed itself around my body. The overall of the room was nice, the furniture was old. I'm surprised that they still have fabric furniture because of the outbreak of bed bugs. They need to upgrade to leather or anything that bed bugs cannot thrive on. I had to ask housekeeping to come clean the room. I guess they do not automatically do it. There is a restaurant in the hotel that is over priced and the food is not that good. There is also a Starbucks and a 24 hour convenience store that is priced sky high. Overall I rate them a 4, and would probably use them again. read more

Overall, we had a great experience at the Vdara while in town for F1. The room was spacious, it was generally quiet, and I loved that we could leverage the amenities at the Aria without the cost. Agree with others that the A/C was not the best, often turning on during the middle of the night and disrupting sleep. However, a good spot to stay at for a reasonable price! read more

PLEASE READ AS THIS WILL BE IMPORTANT & YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS: We just returned from staying at Vdara. We stayed in a suite. THE GOOD: This hotel doesn't have a casino, which we knew would be a plus. It was nice to check in and not have to go to thru a smoke-filled casino to get to our room. The location - the hotel is connected to Bellagio and Aria - so it makes it easy to go to these hotels without needing to go outside. THE BAD: (where to I begin...sigh!) The room we stayed in (it was an 010 room on the floors in the 35th level) STARED STRAIGHT INTO another room and you could completely see the other person in the room and they could see us! What the ???!!!! Have you ever heard of a hotel room not using 1 way glass??!! We don't find this funny or good in any way! Yes - we can close our shades...but we paid extra for a room with a view of the Bellagio Fountains & the Sphere..so who wants to have their shades closed the whole time? And who ever heard of staring into someone else's room in a nice hotel??!!! This has to be one of the WORST design flaws ever. When we complained about this, the Rooms Manager said "there is nothing we can do. We can't move you as we are full" (we found out later that night that they were only at 55% capacity..so it was pretty bad the RM lied). This is just UNACCEPTABLE!! Room Service - we ordered room service and everything was brought in plastic containers and we were given plastic utensils! WHAT THE ??!! Not only was the food cold - but are you kidding?! What a waste of plastic and what a horrible presentation! I have NEVER gotten room service at any nice hotel in Vegas served in plastic and you are given plastic cutlery! This is a HUGE miss and does not say much for them caring about their guests and how room service is presented/served. Cleanliness of room - There were towels that were not in the right place, a few small tissues (used!!) on the floor and a bath towel that had several silver marks on it. When we called downstairs immediately and told them of this situation - all we were told was "housekeeping cleaned the room. If you want us to send them back we can". The issue was it never should have looked like that to begin with! We paid $$$ for a suite and this was just horrible! Late Checkout - Now this one was just downright rude of the Rooms Manager (again..take into account they were NOT sold out...it's the first week in August...110 outside so it's not peak season). While I understand that late checkout is optional and we get it can't always be done (which is fine). However, when you ask you shouldn't feel like you were asking for something unreasonable and treated with such RUDENESS!! We were told that they could give us an "extra half hour, but then you need to get out". WHAT??? Excuse me?? Who tells their guests "you need to get out"!?? VDARA - DO BETTER!! If you are thinking of staying here - make sure you know what you are getting into (and check that your room won't be staring into another person's room!). read more

I've been on many trips and experienced plenty of poolside service, but I've never come across anyone like her. The king bed was so dam comfortable! I slept like a baby. The ac is ice cold and Keeps you very comfy. You have a great skyline view of the Las Vegas strip. You can catch the bellagio water show every 30 mins. The suite has everything you need. Very big. Pull out sofa. TVs. Dining area. We were very happy. The Starbucks down stairs is great too. When speaking to management about bed bud we found on sofa bed where our daughter was sleeping, hotel mgmt only offered to switch rooms and waive resort fees. On our last visit Omer was very nice and good customer service but Alyssa also from front desk made it happen and went above and beyond to ensure our room was ready without further wait. The hotel is located right on the strip, walking distance from all the best spots... not as crowded or loud as other hotels. All rooms are nice and clean but the one bedroom loft is perfect for hubby and I... We got a beautiful view with plenty of room to drink and eat... once we want to relax we head upstairs where it's nice and quiet no outside voices or any foreign noises... 2 bathrooms is much needed... 24hr housekeeping is very convenient as you can request your room cleaned while out for dinner n drinks. The hotel rooms were very nice, and good location connecting to the Cosmopolitan and Bellagio. No gambling here, just a hotel. I almost bought a beer in the convenience store downstairs, but decided against it when it was $15. Also, when we were checking out, they tried to charge us $11,000. They later figured out that apparently they had been grouping other room charges onto our own. We eventually got that figured out, but we almost missed our flight coming home. This hotel is great. The only reason why I didn't give it five stars is because I stayed at the cosmopolitan a few nights before however, this is my second favorite hotel. Guest services are very helpful. They are there for you when you need them. very polite. However, I did have some issues with my key card. I had to reset it every single day. It was very annoying. It didn't work at the self park area. And by the end of the trip I was very set up. However, they did comp my parking because of this inconvenience. That was nice. The room was very spacious, I think the bathrooms could be a bit bigger. They did have a pull out bed in the room, which was nice, I did have a view of the Bellagio fountain, but I felt a little far away from it. read more

Thought it would be fun to have a large room with a view... On the 5th floor with a view of the wall and massive lights shining into the room. We're Marriott Gold members (and booked a higher room) and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Won't be staying here again... If you book a "Panoramic Room," be sure you don't get the bottom floor where you have a panoramic view of a wall! read more

Then maintenance walks in without knocking--just barges in. The front desk women were flat-out rude and sarcastic. Don't expect kindness, professionalism, or even basic decency. They made us feel like we were the problem for daring to complain. Bellmen couldn't get basic requests done on time, and the hotel's location? Completely dead. Nothing nearby unless you like hiking in 110-degree heat. The downstairs restaurant is comically overpriced with food that tastes like it came from a microwave. Vdara is an absolute joke. I had a great stay at this hotel. The lobby area was nice and had a bar/restaurant, a cafe and a Starbucks in case you didn't want to venture out for a bite or drink. My room was on a very high floor which was nice since the views are better on a higher floor. I liked that the soaking tub was by the window so I could check out the view in the bath. The room was also pretty spacious with the bedroom being separate from the living room and kitchen area. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a full kitchen in the room. I also liked the blackout curtains. Overall my stay here was pleasant and I would definitely come back if I'm looking for a quieter hotel to stay at in Vegas. read more

UPDATE: Needed to provide an update on my last few stays. Front Desk - Kevin is the best, hands down! My family and I have been fortunate enough to have him assist us on all of our recent visits either checking-in/out. Super personable, patient, honest, and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we are properly taken care of with our rooms/billings. If I could ask for Kevin's assistance every trip I would. Room - As always, booked an incredible suite for the special occasion and we were not disappointed. Kevin was kind enough to work his magic and deliver my MGM gold comp upgrade to higher floor suite (Beautiful View). Pool - Believe it or not we always have the pool planned out, but by the time we get out there the heat quickly changes that. This time around we stuck to our game plan and hit the pool back to back days. Matthew at the pool service helped us each visit in ensuring that we were properly seated and tended to by our server. Kenneth at the bar made us exceptional drinks that kept us refreshed. Definitely recommend asking him to make you a Mojito and Pina Colada, I can almost guarantee it's the best in Vegas. Parking - Vdara offers valet parking but you have the options of parking at either Aria or Bellagio and walking over which is no more than a ten minute walk. If you're a Gold member or higher you will not have to pay for valet. Staff - Overall all staff members were incredible. From the valet team, bell hop, Kevin (Front Desk), Matthew, Kenneth and the cleaning ladies. Cleanliness - I have stayed here numerous times with friends and family, we all appreciate how clean and tight the team keeps the resort. No complaints on my end. Complaint(s) - I am never a big fan of complaining, but any area that the hotel can work on is better communication when it comes to checking out. I had the cleaning team member knocking at the door at 10aam, followed by a phone call from front desk asking if we were checking out. Based off my knowledge and email traffic it clearly states check out is at 11am. Minor mistake on their end but being rushed out of bed at 10am is never appreciated. Looking forward to our next trip! Beautiful room, great location, excellent staff members, loved that it was smoke free due to having no casino, and the indoor walkways between Bellagio and Cosmopolitan were welcome due to the blistering heat outdoors. Would recommend staying here. On arrival we had a three hour wait for our room as their systems went down so they had to do everything by paper. I can only imagine how much work that created for everyone but they handled it well, although they did forget about us sat in the lobby waiting patiently for our room. We did get compensated for the delay which was decent of them to do.  We had a studio fountain view room which we would recommend staying in as the views are spectacular, and the room was spacious. As we walked in, we had views of the mountains to the left and straight ahead, and to the right we had the fountains and the strip, with the sphere amusing is with that emoji face . The kitchenette was nice, but the fridge was tiny. We went to Wholefoods to buy breakfasts and could barely fit anything in there. There was no toaster so we bought one from Target for $12 that did us for the 10 nights we had there. The bed was so comfortable and I slept well, which is unusual for me when staying away from home! 10/10 for the bed. The bathroom was lovely with a deep bath and powerful tap to fill it with. The shower could be better though. The spray can't be adjusted which is a shame, and the actual jet of water could be better. We used the pool a couple of times which was nice, but it was 44°C when we were there and the heat was too much for me, so with there being no shaded part to swim in I had to get out and hide from the sun where possible. If I had an improvement for the pool area I'd suggest more shaded areas as we couldn't stay out there for long in the heat, and I burn easily too. There is a walkway to Bellagio and Cosmopolitan hotels, so when it's too hot to go outside, it's ideal to stay inside with the very much appreciated air con, and still get around. All staff members were met were lovely and friendly, the hotel is clean, and we would definitely stay there again. read more

All that glitter isn't gold!!! Not even close to copper. Love My corner suite: the views, the black out shades. Bellagio fountain views and even sunrise views. The showers with a view! Not love: everything else. This was a second hotel I stayed in Vegas last week. I had a conference stay and I switched over for fun stay at the end. Wish I didn't! Valet was nice but that's about it. Everything and every service was blah, splat! Falls flat. Suite/ room comes with a kitchenette but not a single kitchen/ dining wear. Not even a cup or a glass! Or utensils. But you can request it via house keeping. I did. It took 3.5 hours to get 2 plates and 2 cups!! Utensils were wrapped/packaged, thankfully. 3.5 hours. How do you reach housekeeping? In a normal functioning world: via your hotel room: press of button on that phone. In Vdarra's world: it's a non functioning cheap plastic of a phone that absolutely doesn't work or have a dial tone. So you use your own cell phone ( no thanks to $50 resort fees that include free local calls), spend a good 40 minutes trying to reach them to put that request in. Engineer came.. told me he can't do anything but need to replace it. Great? Minus the attached shampoo/ body wash in the shower, zero other amenities. I mean a tiny lotion would help staying in a Hotel room! Usually with Hyatt globalist, we get bottles of water, 4 pm check out. None of that exists here. Note to self:don't choose them next! If you don't honor anything about Hyatt reward programs, don't be affiliated with them. So I won't book through them? Carpet in the room was worn out. I looked at a night pretty looking kitchen, emphasis on "Look". Since no working phone, you can't order anything at all. Luckily, Starbucks is in the lobby! Not sure about the hours but it's there. Getting in and out wasn't convenient either. Nobody that works in casino know where anything is or even the entrance/ exits. They'll send you to aria to walk over. You can take the tram but took eternity to come and it doesn't stop at Vdarra currently! Overall, great views but that's about it. They serve various food items and beautiful pastries! I only ordered the raspberry cheesecake, which is absolutely delicious and amazingly beautiful! I'm saying this because I am not a cheesecake type of person, but the way it looks, made me want to try it. It did not disappoint! Be prepared to pay the premium price! I stayed at Vdara this weekend. The hotel itself is nice, but the room was not well maintained, which was a bit disappointing. I asked the front desk around 4 a.m. on Sunday if we could get a late checkout--just an extra hour--since we had a long drive ahead. The front desk agent checked with the manager, and the response was a flat no. What really stood out was the reason: apparently, a big group had booked the entire floor and was checking in at 1 p.m. That excuse felt more amusing than convincing. If the answer had been no due to housekeeping or maintenance scheduling, I could understand--but this explanation made it hard to take seriously. Now that MGM Resorts can be booked thru Marriott Bonvoy @ a slightly higher rate than MGM Rewards I booked via Bonvoy because @ my level the Marriott points outweigh the $ difference. Booking is very easy too. Shortly before I arrived I got a notice that my room was assigned and ready. I opted for a suite with a view of the Bellagio fountains. Note that Vdara is an all suites property with no casino. There is easy access to the gaming @ Aria, Bellagio and Cosmo however so you get a quieter atmosphere than at some other properties. Digital key allows check-in without standing in line - if it works, mine did not even let me get past the elevator security person. It did allow me to utilize the kiosk in the lobby to make a hard card and that worked, minor hiccup. Hiccup #2 was that the directional signs when you get off the elevator are backwards - point you the wrong way - they are reversed, not the best omen. The suite made up for the irritations; it was open, clean, well appointed and just downright nice. Plenty of room, comfortable furnishings and nice shower. Only issue is that with a nice kitchenette there is no cooking (or eating) utensils of any kind. I have had this issue in other MGM suites as well. The Marriott Grand Chateau comes with a fully equipped kitchen which can save some serious money over the course of working in Vegas for a week. The view was pretty awesome if you only looked right, to the left is I-15 - all 12 lanes... 1 long block and you're on the Strip. 1/2 a block to earlier mentioned casinos or if you have fat stacks the Shops @ Crystals is very close. Plan ahead - price fluctuates by hundreds of $'s. MGM's website has calendar that shows the room rates for the next 12 months, you may want to start your travel planning with the room and work backwards. All-in-all pretty good stay. read more

I have not been to Vegas since the pandemic happened. I was recommended to try this hotel out by my brother and his wife, plus is non-smoking and non-gaming. When booking I saw the Stay Well rooms (show infuser, air purification, cleaning protocol, etc). When you walk in there is this scent that is pleasant, they use green fig fragrance oil. NICE! Check in was easy and quick. When we got to the room, I have to say it is just like the pictures they posted. The room was contemporary and roomy with all the technology you can need (including Dawn Simulation, Soundscape Machine, Automatic blackout shades & sheer system). The king bed is comfortable (Stay Well Mattress with Stay Well Mattress Encasement)! We had a studio: kitchenette, living room with pullout queen-size sofa bed, walk in shower & spa-style soaking tub. Easy access to the Express Tram, Uber/Taxis are in front of the hotel, easy walkaways to Aria and Bellagio. Incredible day and night view, next time I might try to get a fountain view. One con, they only offer valet parking here. If you are opting for self parking, you need to park at Bellagio or Aria. I did the self parking at Aria and it was charged to the room, but the room key did NOT open the gate when I had to left the parking garage. It cause a HUGE line behind us. Thank goodness it was not just us. The other line had the same issue. It took 10 mins before Aria answer the help call button! I told the Vdara front desk and they fix the key issue and waiver the first day of parking. read more

Never staying here again. Our room reeked of urine! We booked a private suite through Priceline. I immediately called the front desk to ask for a room change and was told to go down to the front to report the issue. So I grabbed my luggage and went downstairs. The staff apologized and told me that they were unable to accommodate a room change because the suite was booked through a third party so I'd have to call Priceline. She proceeded to tell me that she would send housekeeping right away to do a carpet cleaning/extraction and try to have the suite cleaned. NOBODY SHOWED UP. I called front desk again to ask for assistance with housekeeping and was told that they were already notified. It was awful. Vdara is a pet friendly hotel. Someone's dog definitely had a field day in that suite. I had to spray my perfume in every room and was breathing through my mouth the entire time. Do not book your staycation/vacation here. read more

Had bad timing and visited amidst the MGM and Caesars hack that caused many inconveniences. All the electronic systems were practically offline and the check-in process had to be done the old-fashioned way of pen-and-paper. Check-in lines were awfully long. As an apology, a $25 per person dining voucher was given applicable on select MGM restaurants. We came at 7:30 PM after our flight and waited two hours before asking if our room was finally ready. The King Studio Parlor was on the 17th floor with a view of the city not directly of The Strip. It was spacious, relatively clean, and high up enough to have a quiet space. For a grand total of almost $1,290 for four nights, the cost was reasonable. Far from a 5-star hotel such as Waldorf Astoria though with the lack of services and amenities. The room did not even have a coffee machine. Lighting also temporarily short-circuited but it was impossible to notify the reception due to the chaos. Parking is valet only with Mondays through Thursday costing $35 and $40 on the other days. Valet kiosks were outside next to the window, but were not functioning due to the hack. Location is convenient with close access to The Strip and monorails. The sky bridge to the Bellagio Hotel was under construction so we had to detour to reach transportation. read more

Vdara is not directly on the strip, which could be a good thing or a bad thing. Since it's a bit off the strip, like one block in, it is not busy or noisy like other hotels. Vdara also does not have a casino or special attraction, which makes it even less busy. As such, Vdara is ideal for families with kids. If you need a gambling fix, just walk across the street to any of the other neighbouring hotel/casinos. There is a monorail that you can access from this hotel which will link you to other hotels including the Bellagio. As a result, you are fully connected to the strip if you don't want to walk. Monorail comes every few minutes. The hotel room we got, while nothing special, was very clean and modern. It was roomy, well lit, clean and well-appointed. It was a nice refuge after a long day on the strip. read more

This is a nice hotel. There is a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes from this hotel to the Vegas Strip. The bar here looks nice but some of the TVs are delayed by 10 seconds to the other TVs. This makes it weird to watch sports with friends and you all are looking at two different TVs. Also, the bar was short staffed so service was extremely slow. I never understand why it takes so much time to serve drinks to customers. The rooms are extremely nice. read more

Staycation time. It was a toss-up between the Vdara or the Aria. The rooms at the Vdara were a lot more spacious than those at the Aria, so of course the Vdara won. The hotel was super clean, did not smell like smoke and was not crowded at all as the hotel did not have a casino. I really liked that aspect as it makes catching the elevator to your room a breeze. The room itself was great. I opted for the 1 bedroom with the parlour and the separation between the two spaces made it seem as if I were in an apartment. I did not have a view of the strip which was fine as I was barely in the room. The kitchenette is also a great feature and makes the Vdara very family friendly. Everything was clean except for the bedsheets (there was a small stain on the duvet, but housekeeping was very accommodating when I asked them to change out the entire bedding set and did so quickly. When I asked for extra toilet paper, it was delivered within 15 minutes. Hotel staff was super friendly and the hotel had a very chill vibe, which is exactly what I needed for my staycation. Minus 1 star for the Parking. I may have missed it, but the only thing I wish that did was let us know that if were parking in the self-parking in the Aria (there isn't any self-parking at the Vdara), we could take the tram to the Bellagio, take the elevator down and cross the bridge over to the Vdara. The valet at Vdara said it was a long walk from the self-parking, through the Aria to the Vdara. He failed to let us know that the easiest route was to get off at Bellagio. Perhaps he wanted us to valet park rather than self-park. It was super long walk through the Aria hotel to the Vdara and more so as we had a couple of bags with us :-( Lesson learned. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. It may be my favorite hotel on the strip to date. read more
