We were left waiting without anyone acknowledging us or checking if we needed help. It felt like the other customers were receiving much better service. I had already tried on a couple of hair pieces and didn't want to remove them myself because I was afraid of damaging them, so I waited for someone to assist me. Once the Asian employee finished with her customer, I asked for help. She was kind, patient, and helped me choose a hair piece. I had also planned to purchase earrings, but after the experience, I decided not to. I ended up purchasing only the hair piece. While the quality was nice, I personally found the items to be overpriced. A funny part of the experience was that the customers the Latina employee left us for didn't end up buying anything, despite her providing them with much better customer service than she provided us. I don't know why our experience was so different, but it honestly made me wonder if she had judged us based on appearances because we weren't given the same level of attention or courtesy. If you're shopping with a budget under $100, this may not be the right place for you, and it could save you time to shop elsewhere. Unfortunately, the lack of acknowledgment and inconsistent customer service left a bad impression. Because of that, I don't plan on returning.

Instead of being welcomed, the front desk staff laughed, and one of them asked, "What are you doing here?" I replied, "I have an appointment," and they all laughed again. Looking back, I should have walked out then, but I decided to give them a chance. I was told I had to wait because no one was available to help me, even though there were four staff members standing at the front. I was told to look through the racks for dresses while I waited. Since it was my first time shopping for a wedding dress, I didn't know the process. Later, I noticed signs everywhere saying not to walk through the aisles, so my mom and I stood to the side and waited. After about 20 minutes, someone finally came to help us. She immediately asked which dresses I wanted to try on. I explained that I had no idea because this was my first bridal appointment and I was hoping for some guidance. She seemed visibly annoyed. She pulled a few dresses, and one of them was absolutely beautiful--I genuinely loved it. However, the overall attitude made me uncomfortable. At one point, she told me the dress was around $5,000 and then asked, "Can you afford it?" I replied, "Yes, I can." After that, I noticed other staff members gathering around and suddenly walking by to compliment how beautiful the dress looked on me. It felt very insincere. Even though I loved the dress, I decided not to purchase it. Buying a wedding dress is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I didn't feel confident moving forward with a boutique where I felt unwelcome and judged. I politely ended my appointment and left. As I was walking out, I heard one of the employees say, "I told you they weren't going to buy it." That confirmed I had made the right decision. Thankfully, I found my dream dress at a wonderful bridal boutique in Costa Mesa, where I was treated with kindness, respect, and genuine excitement. The difference in customer service was night and day. Every bride deserves to feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

My stylist was Alexa and she was amazing! Unfortunately, some of the dresses I wanted to try on wasn't available at the store, but Alexa pulled some similar styles. She was very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The appointment lasted one hour. Remember to ask your stylist to measure you! I was going to get measured, but decided to retry on a dress and totally forgot. The dresses are very good quality at an affordable price! I am so glad there is a showroom and feel much better about ordering my dress online now!

I've heard of Veejay Floresca before mainly from friends on social media and when I got engaged, she was one of the designers I Googled...which was weird because I thought she was based abroad and I wasn't really going to fly outside of the country just to have my wedding gown made LOL! So I just went on my way and visited various bridal shops in LA. I tried on several beautiful dresses but none really stood out to me and I got to the point where I really didn't wanna go dress shopping anymore. I checked out Veejay's website again and found out that she has a San Francisco contact. Cue Instagram stalking! I found out that she's actually based here in the US! I was willing to drive all the way to SF just to meet her but when she emailed me back that she opened a studio in DTLA and is actually based here, I literally jumped for joy! My first meeting with Veejay was 5 months before the wedding. She's a designer that does custom-made wedding gowns so you can get the exact design you want and you have limitless options. She also has a collection of pre-designed dresses (called "Madore") and you can check them all out on her website. Unlike most bridal shops though, the dresses from her collection aren't ready to wear... where you buy the dress and have it altered. Instead, you pick a design from her collection and she will make the gown from scratch! She will get your measurements and you'd have to come in for fittings (I did 3 fittings with her!). It's just like having a custom made wedding dress! I picked a design from her collection and during one of the fittings, Veejay and I decided to change the neckline...and it came out really beautiful!! It was a bit different from the design in the collection but it made it unique. Basically, it took 4 months and three fittings before I saw the totality of the dress. It was definitely a great and exciting experience! Being able to see the progress of my wedding dress- from a simple toile during the first fitting to a full blown beautiful wedding gown on my wedding day was truly an emotional experience. It was something that I never really felt when I was going in and out of different bridal shops trying all these dresses. Veejay is a talented and hardworking designer. I am very happy that everything just fell into place and I was able to work with her to have the wedding dress that I love! Veejay Floresca is a designer that will create a dress that'll make you feel the most beautiful! She made my daughter a customized gown for a pageant and it turned out to be her dream gown. Veejay really works with what you want and gives recommendations in what she thinks can enhance your original ideas. She's well educated in her materials and knows how to achieve a gown with the best type of movement and flow. She let my daughter try on sample gowns that she had at hand to see what my daughter felt comfortable in and what she looks best in. Overall, I would definitely go back to her to have something custom made. I really recommend her to anyone who has an idea for a dress or gown that they would like to see come to life! I contacted Roya pretty close to my wedding date (about 1.5-2 months out near holiday season) and was very nervous about the tight turnaround. She was able to get me in to see her quickly and thankfully completed the alterations ASAP, so I had plenty of time to ensure that everything was perfect and further alterations could be done if needed. However, with her skill and talent, that wasn't necessary at all. My dress needed to be hemmed and bustled, which may not sound like a lot to some people, but it was incredibly difficult to the delicate and intricate lace detailing at the bottom of my dress. I needed an expert who would be able to alter the dress for my petite frame but also maintain the beauty and integrity that I fell in love with. There truly was no one better for the task than Roya, and it was also helpful that her schedule was so flexible. I honestly can't say enough praises for Roya and her work, and I am so grateful that she played a major part in making me feel beautiful and confident on one of the most special days of my life!

I had a total of 3 fittings with her: the first to take in the sides, the second for the hemming and adding the bustle, and the final fitting to make sure everything fits well and to show us how to do the bustle on the dress. I picked up the dress a week before my wedding and it turned out perfect! I could not have asked for a better seamstress that I'd trust with my wedding dress!

All the bridesmaids ordered them together and the sizes got all mixed up--my size 6 wife got stuck with a size 14 dress! Having previously seen her veils, my wife called Kat for a seamstress recommendation. To our pleasant surprise, she said she was willing to do it for a very low cost, given the complexity of the work required. The dress had built-in bones that required Kat to take apart the lining and essentially rebuild the dress in a waaaay smaller size. I'm a theatre producer, so you can imagine, the costume-designer inside me was geeking out at her skills. I watched this master-class in clothing construction in awe. Within 2-3 hours, the dress was put back together, tailored to my wife's curves to perfection. On the day of the wedding, everyone looked lovely. However, the other bridesmaids' strapless, knee-length dresses, although bought in their own sizes, looked more like orange buckets on their bodies due to them being off-the-rack. My wife (only slightly biased) had a tailored dress that showed off her specific shape beautifully due to the happy sizing accident and Kat's skillful alteration. My wife to this day still says that she would not have wanted to wear a bright orange dress if it weren't for the work Kat did on it.

Many of the other tailors I visited worked out of small or makeshift home studios, but Connie's space was open and airy, with a large mirror and a platform that truly makes you feel like a princess when you step up to see how the dress is coming together on your body. Connie herself was just as impressive--kind, professional, and very mindful of my budget. Appointments can feel brief, but she is fair, efficient, and clearly skilled at what she does. Overall, I was extremely happy with how my dress turned out and would absolutely recommend Connie to other brides in the future.

My dress is exactly the way I wanted it, Loyce's pricing is more than fair, and I left every fitting with a smile on my face. There were a few times I came in for a fitting feeling stressed or overwhelmed by all the wedding planning and Loyce took the time to talk to me, give me advice, and make me laugh.
