I had the most amazing experience working with Jila on TWO custom wedding looks. The first look we did was a beautiful 2 piece for my welcome party. The corset, skirt and scarf came together quickly and even more beautiful than I imagined. The second, and most fun, look we did was my reception mini dress! Jila came highly recommend by Jaxon James after I bought my Kim Kassas Couture gown as their go-to tailor. I decided to also commission her to custom make a hooded cape, as I couldn't bring myself to pay for the original Kim Kassas one that was over $6000 (in addition to the dress!). She was able to help me achieve my dream within budget. The cape was unbelievably beautiful. She hand-stitched many pieces of this cape, and worked very hard to find lace that felt true to the original. She also replicated many very specific details and put her own unique touch on the design. She truly crafted a one of a kind piece. I was blown away by her talent, and many of my guests remarked on how stunning the cape was. My tailored dress was also very challenging to tailor, and she managed to make it fit perfectly. Last year, Jila made a gorgeous couture for me to wear to my best friend's wedding that I was a bridesmaid for. Having had worked with other atelier's in the past, I had an ideal of what I could expect from my experience, but she truly exceeded my expectations. I had very limited time to meet in person, and she was super flexible with my availability and schedule. We met a total of 2 times, the first time she took my overall measurements, and the 2nd time for our first and last fitting session! During the fitting, we found out that my body form had slightly changed, and knowing that it would be the last time we met before the wedding day, she managed to take note of all the new changes and handed me the perfect dress on the day of the wedding!! I was so nervous, but with her skills and expertise, it worked out perfectly. She also helped me pick the perfect shoes since I didn't get to go shoe shopping with my dress. One of the best experiences from my wedding was working with Jila and designing my custom high end wedding dress. Jila actually designed many dresses for my wedding including my bridal shower dress, wedding dress, wedding party dress, and the mother of the bride dress. All turned out more beautiful than imagined and experience of creating them was both very special and fun. After dress shopping at other wedding dress boutiques across California , I realized everything was overpriced, sewn poorly and needed to be ordered 9-12 months in advance. Jila Atelier is not like that. Jila can make anything you want, works quickly, and much more affordable even for it being higher quality than anything else I saw. I didn't know exactly what I wanted but I had some ideas. Because of this, we took it one step at a time, which I loved! After selecting the cut and fabric, we were able to decide on more details at different fittings. That worked perfect for me. Each fitting was easy, exciting and Jila is a wonderful person to be around. Each seam on that dress was sewn perfectly! She ships fast and it's dependable. I bought a wedding dress and wanted to have it tailored and a structured bow added to the back. I was having trouble finding a seamstress I could trust to design a structured bow, when I stumbled across Jila on Yelp. Even though the quality of the dress I purchased was not good, instead of making me feel bad about it, Jila got to work giving the dress the shape it needed. To be honest, if I had it to do over I would have had her design the dress from the beginning. In terms of the experience of working with Jila, I just wish we'd used our time better. We didn't get to attaching the bow until a week and a half before my wedding. The first attachment of the bow wasn't what I wanted, so I asked for the bow to be moved over a bit and the material stiffened. Because of Jila's schedule, she couldn't work on the dress until the day before my wedding. I didn't get to try on the final dress until 10 p.m. the day before my wedding!
