Odd amount to call about, but I was out of town and didn't call back right away. The next day I answered a call (that turned out to be from them) asking for someone else entirely. Assuming the number was possibly spam, I googled the number, saw it was Trove, and then emailed them directly, saying I understood I owed 33 cents and asking for an invoice. They corrected me. I actually owed $33, not 33 cents, they couldn't send an invoice by email, and wanted me to call and give my card info over the phone instead. After everything already off with this (the wrong number call, the 33-cent voicemail, no email invoicing), I didn't feel comfortable reading my card number to someone over the phone. I offered to stop by in person instead, and asked in advance if they could have a receipt ready showing my original 33 cent charge, so I wouldn't be making the trip for nothing. I rearranged my lunch break to make this happen and showed up as planned. No receipt. They said they'd emailed it, but I'd specifically asked for a printed copy, the least they could do given this was their error to begin with. That request took several days notice and still didn't happen. Their printer was "acting up," so I got no receipt for the original charge and none for the new $33 charge, either! An error on their end turned into a special trip, wasted time on my lunch break, and still no paperwork to show for any of it. Disappointing customer service, especially when the customer is the one who has to burn their own time fixing your mistake. Edited to add, following their reply: I was never contesting the dollar amount being charged. I was happy to pay for what I purchased. I stated that they asked me to call in my card over the phone. I addressed why I was uncomfortable with doing that, and had asked for a way to provide payment electronically. When that option was not available I offered to come in. My disappointment is that despite their error, the wrong amount owed left on my voicemail, a random "wrong number" phone call from them, and inability to accept payment over something like square invoicing / Venmo / etc., all I asked for was a printed receipt. If someone has to make time to come in and fix your error, it's the least you could have done. I'm now even more disappointed in them after this response.

And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.

Was being helped by a young woman named Ariel- had a few outfits sent to fitting room- only got one item. Lady the register was cold and dismissive. Seems like the manager- and if so she sucks! Was ready to buy myself a few things for my birthday next month- left empty handed and with a bad experience at reformation. Sucks. They won't have my money again. Honestly felt like they were racial profiling because the white customers got perfect service. SHAME on you! Spend your money elsewhere.

Even though I resided in Chicago and Jila was based in California, the distance was no issue for her. In fact, it only added to her impressive skills. She managed the entire process of creating my wedding gown and veil while I was out of state, which speaks volumes about her commitment and dedication. Her work is nothing short of a dream come true. I worked with Jila for my wedding dress alterations, and she was absolutely amazing. She adjusted the corset so it fit perfectly, hemmed the bottom, and created my bustle. Everything turned out flawless, and I felt so confident on my wedding day. What truly set her apart was how caring and accommodating she was. I had a last-minute issue with my second dress arriving late, and since I live on the west side, Jila went out of her way to pick it up for me so I could meet her directly to see if any alterations were needed. Her quote was a bit high for the work that was needed (there wasn't much to be done), but I trusted what all the other reviews said and decided to go with her. She was also very personable during the appointment so I felt comfortable moving forward - she required full payment at the first appointment. My second appointment was supposed to be May 24. She cancelled a couple of days before and said she would reach out to reschedule. When I didn't hear from her, I texted her to see when she would be able to reschedule. She suggested June 20...which was almost a month later than we were supposed to meet. I pushed back and said I would feel comfortable meeting no later than June 7 - I even offered to come on a weekday if that worked better for her. Miraculously, she had June 7 available,. I had a gut feeling before the appointment that no work had been done, and I was correct. At that appointment, she just put me in the dress again and stuck some more pins in there. She assured me that the dress would be done at the next fitting on July 3. When I got there, there were a few things that I wasn't completely happy with, so she said she could fix it there on the spot...she told me that it would take about 30 minutes - so I just walked around Beverly Hills for that time. After about 45 minutes, I came back to the salon, and texted her that I was there (her office is in the back). Well, she came out about 10 minutes later with another bride! In that time when she was "working" on my dress, she met with another bride for her fitting! I was so frustrated and angry, and she could tell. She asked me if I wanted to try it on again...um yes of course I do. Overall she did an okay job for the dress, but I wish I would have gone somewhere else where they were more respectful of time and professional.

I found this tailor through a friend. I had a bad gut feeling early on, but the positive reviews here reassured me. I now believe some of those reviews are pressured, because that's exactly what she tried to do to me. Timeline: - Initial phone consult: Quoted ~$850. I chose her partly because the price was competitive. - Dec 20, 2025: First in-person appointment: The quote nearly tripled to over $2,000. When I tried to leave, she made it so difficult to walk out that I felt I had no choice but to agree, and I left my Monique Lhuillier gown in her hands. She provided no contract, receipt, or any documentation that she had my dress. - Two fittings followed, though it was rocky: She cancelled two follow-ups on short notice, and went nearly unreachable for about three weeks (unanswered calls and texts) while holding my designer gown with very little communication and nothing in writing proving she had it. I kept communication positive yet persistent, as I was genuinely afraid I would not get my dress back before my wedding. - Jan 17, 2026: final agreed "pickup date" (about two weeks before my wedding): I walked in knowing I had to leave with my dress in whatever state it was in, because she'd gone MIA and kept canceling and I no longer trusted that I'd get it back at all. She wanted to keep it (she said it still needed two more fittings) but I refused. Despite handing me unfinished, damaged work, she pressured me to write a positive review on the spot before I could leave, physically stood between me and my own dress, and only backed down once someone else on site had to step in to de-escalate. - In the week before the wedding, I was forced into three emergency fittings with a different tailor just to make my dress wearable. To note as well: her "studio" is a small back room with no full-length mirror, nowhere to lay out a full train or veil, and dirty floors. She was late (about 30 minutes) to every single appointment. But the real problem is the work. A second, professional tailor assessed the gown and put her findings in writing: ** QUOTE FROM OTHER RECOMMENDED TAILOR: "This was not a minor oversight; it constituted a significant mishandling of an extremely valuable and intricate garment. The work required to correct these alterations was extensive and time-consuming, transforming what should have been a standard fitting into a complex restoration project. In my many years of experience, this level of improper execution on a designer gown is rare and, frankly, unacceptable."** Specifically, this tailor noted: (1) boning installed so poorly it punctured through the delicate lace and left permanent holes; (2) a hem cut roughly 1.5 inches too short; and (3) three of the gown's six original crinoline layers cut down or REMOVED -- permanently altering the volume and silhouette the designer intended. We had to buy new crinoline directly from Monique Lhuillier factory and worked with their flagship store to restore it and reinstall full layers of my dress to get it to the original/intended design. The damage was not fully fixable. The boning problem is still visible in my wedding photos, forever. So please read the glowing reviews here with skepticism. On pickup day I was pressured to post one on the spot and she truly would not hand over my dress until I did so. I had to bring in the nail salon staff to help de-escalate and have her give me my property back. A review posted here just weeks after I dropped off my dress described the same thing: a bride not getting her gown back until the DAY before her wedding. A friend of mine used her too, and had the same playbook run on her: a phone quote that roughly doubled in person, and an internal corset left so visibly wrong it was noticeable throughout her entire wedding day. I stayed calm and polite through all of it. That doesn't change the facts: I spent the last two weeks before my wedding scrambling and paying a second professional to undo this work, and I was so run down that I was sick on my own wedding weekend. Bottom line: unless you have money to burn, weeks of buffer in your timeline, and no attachment to your gown coming back the way you handed it over, do not trust a valuable dress to this business. I did, and I'm still living with the results in every wedding photo.

They are…read moreexcellent at keeping their online shop updated for what they have in-store with pictures and sizes of the gowns. Their selection of designers is truly amazing. I can't speak to their online portion of the business, with the shipping and try-on-at-home or the selling process, but I can absolutely recommend that if you're looking to buy a wedding dress in SoCal, it's worth it to visit this place in person! It was just me and my mom (someone whose opinion I value but who also trusts that I can make my own decisions), but I think they allow up to four people to come with you. (Choose wisely lol). They also have great tips on their site, and the ones I felt were super helpful were 1- go to a regular bridal salon first to get a feel for the things you like and don't like, 2- size up one or two sizes from what your street clothes normally are, 3- preview their selection online and come prepared if there's something you specifically want to try on. They also send you a questionnaire when you book the appointment asking how you want to feel in your wedding dress on the day of -- which was a really useful question to answer, just for myself lol but I'm sure it helps them pick out some options that might align! Desiree was amazing!! She immediately understood my vision. She was an incredible resource for all of my nerdy material questions, and my questions about the consignment process, what would and wouldn't be possible in alterations, travel tips for transporting the dress, storing the dress, post-ceremony cleaning, etc. It's also bananas how much she knew about the history of some of my dress picks re: the original bride's alterations, off the top of her head! (Or maybe it's written down in their system haha that's probably more likely, but if it was from memory, freakin' kudos!). Apparently, Desiree had worked at the designer of one of my top pick dresses so she also had the lowdown of the business from that perspective as well! I also didn't feel pressured at all, which was so important for me--not just for wedding dress shopping but for all of the choices we've been making for the wedding. It's a small thing, but something I greatly appreciated. The absolute most useful advice Desiree had was about the alterations process and even pricing. She made the caveat that different people would have a range of prices, but for what I was looking for, she would be shocked if I had to pay over X amount. I went to five different alteration places to get quotes, and three of them quoted me pretty much the exact number Desiree had suggested, and two of them tried to upsell me on things I didn't need and charge me three times as much! Obviously, I went with one of the seamstresses that quoted me that starting price, and I was so grateful that Desiree knew her stuff because my people-pleaser self might have just accepted the pricier alterations place without questioning it. I found the gown of my dreams at Loved Twice Bridal, from my top pick designer (Galia Lahav!) at significantly off the retail/custom order price. I received excellent service from an extremely knowledgeable resource. And I made a choice that aligned with my sustainable values. I'm so, so happy with how it all worked out! I just picked it up after alterations (Connie Tao Designs in Pasadena) and I cannot wait to wear this dress on my wedding day! Obviously, my choice of husband is the best choice I've made for my wedding haha, but choosing the dress I did, from this shop - it was a pretty darn good choice for me. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk (Desiree) didn't greet us despite us being the only party to enter. It wasn't until I introduced my name that she then introduced herself. She also made it a point to say "you brought the 'whhhole crew' with you today. Which I was confused about because I had 4 guests which was within the allowed guest count. It was a very uncomfortable encounter. Nonetheless, I brushed it off as I was excited to try on wedding gowns for my November 2025 event. While selecting dresses, I asked Desiree if she could please add one of the gowns to the rack for me to try on. Her response was "but is it actually in your budget?" Woah--did she just Pretty Woman me? When I asked if that was a requirement to try on dresses, she responded no, but since it's a consignment shop they have to be mindful of how many times a dress is worn and they want guests to be intentional about selections. Okay--understandable but set that expectation from the beginning or it sounds extremely judgmental without context. The selection was quite limited as other people mentioned. That said I found a dress with potential and put it on hold. Ultimately I changed my mind about the purchase because I couldn't justify supporting a shop with that type of customer service. I thankfully ended up finding my dream dress elsewhere and ironically it was well over my original budget. But when I tried it on and loved it--I figured it's worth the price. From the glowing reviews I truly hope I'm an anomaly, but I had to share my experience as I hope this behavior from staff can be improved in the future. For many of us, this experience is supposed to be exciting and when we are paying for the experience to try on dresses I think at minimum staff should try to *at least* fake politeness for the one hour we have booked.

Candice was was sales person and she was phenomenal, her passion for bridal fashion is infectious- she actually made me excited to try on gowns and really set the tone for all other bridal appointments I had elsewhere. I came very close to buying my dress from LOHO but sadly ended up finding 'the one' at another boutique. But it's definitely not for a lack of choices on LOHO's part, it's just where my bridal journey took me. If I ever get married again lol I will definitely get my next wedding gown at LOHO Bride, and I will be telling all future brides to make an appointment with them! The parking was pretty easy for me when I went, they have about 4-5 free parking spots available right outside the boutique so I would recommend carpooling if you're going with a group.

I contacted Roya pretty close to my wedding date (about 1.5-2 months out near holiday season) and was very nervous about the tight turnaround. She was able to get me in to see her quickly and thankfully completed the alterations ASAP, so I had plenty of time to ensure that everything was perfect and further alterations could be done if needed. However, with her skill and talent, that wasn't necessary at all. My dress needed to be hemmed and bustled, which may not sound like a lot to some people, but it was incredibly difficult to the delicate and intricate lace detailing at the bottom of my dress. I needed an expert who would be able to alter the dress for my petite frame but also maintain the beauty and integrity that I fell in love with. There truly was no one better for the task than Roya, and it was also helpful that her schedule was so flexible. I had a total of 3 fittings with her: the first to take in the sides, the second for the hemming and adding the bustle, and the final fitting to make sure everything fits well and to show us how to do the bustle on the dress.
