I haven't been to Bolay or any of its locations in over a year due to a prior experience I had. I decided to give it another try and I was impressed. I had the regular bowl. It comes with 1 protein, 3 toppings, sauce, and 3 options to choose from grains and veggies. The food was very tasty. I love the herb and garlic sauce. I came for a late lunch/ early dinner on Mother's Day and I was the only customer inside. I decided to take my order to go and the service was very quick. The staff could have been a little more friendly, but overall not bad customer service. The food station was pretty clean and there's seating inside. read more

One of the best Bolay's in the area. Everything is fresh and the service is excellent! The manager greeted us as we walked in the door. I had the bowl with steak, sweet potato noodles and lots of broccoli and tomatoes. They put the sauce on the side like I always order it. The portion was huge. Bolay here to save the day! Starting 2024 off right with a delicious vegan meal. You know what time of year it is lol. I had a large order of 5 meals to go. We also dined in. I created my own veggie bowl and took a miso tofu bowl to go. The person I was with created their own bowl with shrimp and l took a miso tofu bowl to go. I've been ordering and dining in at Bolay ever since they opened their location in fort lauderdale in federal highway. I noticed my last few orders the quality of the food has decreased drastically to the point that my lunch order today was absolutely disgusting and plain dirty. They usually offer this thyme roasted mushrooms. Well today they were not only dirty looking but I actually found a piece of rotten bark from a tree or just plain black dirt. It was absolutely disgusting and scary to think that the food preparation at Bolay has lost all sense of cleanliness, higher standards when it comes to food preparation and quality control over the food they receive for their suppliers. Today I came in to get some food for my mother and I notice that certain people that got the same size bowl got bigger servings than me. I spoke up but the same serving still carried on all the way to the avocado being sliced smaller too. I can't believe I paid 2.00 for 1/4 of an avocado. She was going to give me a spoiled avocado but I spoke up and said this is not acceptable. When I opened the meal for my mother, she could not eat the tofu as it was as hard as rubber and the meal was really awful. The only tasty part of the meal was the power beans. I tried the food and the tofu was as hard as rubber and we both agreed this meal stunk. The tofu actually hurt my throat going down the couple of bites I had. Will I be coming here to eat again? I doubt this as the manager knows the crew he has hired to serve and cook these meals. read more

This place has been open in our area for quite a while now. But I remember when they first opened and how I wanted to try them but just never did. Hubby and I did attend an event that had restaurants serving samples of food and Bolay was one of them. They had this black rice bol that was so delicious! This go round, Hubby decided to order from here so we could try something new. Since he knows how much I love shrimp, he ordered me the Thai Shrimp and Noodle Bol. It was so delicious. So hard to believe it was a more healthy meal option and the noodles were so good with the grilled shrimp. Hubby got some kind of chicken bol and the kids got chicken and rice bols. read more

Was upset with the employees at the register, I tried to use a gift card that was on Apple Pay, I advised them other locations have been inputting the card manually. They went against my recommendation and told me to tap like Apple Pay. Turns out the payment charged my default credit card instead of the gift card. While I do put some of the onus on the associates for not listening to me i put more fault on corporate process. They should make this easier and consistent for the employees, also I put some fault on Apple too I don't know how they charge my card when my screen never displayed that card as it normally does on purchase which is a design flaw on their end read more

You go along an assembly line and choose your base(s), protein and veggies to adorn your bowl, along with toppings and sauce to make it all come together. I really appreciated their vegan and vegetarian options! I choose the forbidden rice, sweet potato noodles, miso tofu, Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, cilantro on top and I choose the creamy garlic and cilantro pesto on the side. I really liked the creamy garlic sauce. The rice was unexpected, as it's almost black and I wasn't sure what to expect but it was really yummy! The noodles didn't have a huge flavor, but mixed in with all the ingredients it worked really well for me. The tofu wasn't very flavorful, but I do know that it can be difficult to make flavorfuk Something I haven't really seen before that I really appreciated was the hand washing stations at the entrance of the store! I had not been to Bolay until needing to quickly feed a group of gluten free, dairy free vegetarians, but I am thankful I was put in that position because the food was AWESOME. Picture this.. You are about to spend the weekend at Tortuga Music Festival on FtL Beach. You need something filling to hold you over for most of the day, but light enough to not weigh you down. It has to be able to be picked up so you can eat it once you get there, but also not difficult to eat. Oh, and by the way, everyone in the group has some sort of intense diet restriction. How could such a place even exist?? Insert Bolay. The wild diet, easy to carry, easy to eat, not too filling, not too light, just heavy enough to soak up sun and alcohol food solution at a very reasonable price. Oh, and it is totally customizable so you can eat a new dish daily. Oh, and they have curbside pickup. Oh, and it is not pricy. Oh, and it is delicious. Oh, and the ordering is easy. I can't even stop with all of the reason it is great! Everything we ordered was made correctly. Everything was fresh. Everyone enjoyed it. Everyone was able to customize it for a different experience every day. The pickup was simple. I am starting to think I should do marketing for these guys. This is not a paid advertisement, I just love them. That being said, we ate Taco Bell on the way home, which has all of the same restriction options. 2am Border Runs are not the same as fresh Bolay though. Get it. Try it. Love it. One of my favorite places for fast fresh food. Everything they make is delicious, but my favorites are their Kale salad, broccoli ginger, black rice, lemon chicken and Thai shrimp. They have lots of vegan and vegetarian options, and their whole menu is gluten free, including their chocolate chip cookie which is delicious and made with soy flour. Their system is simple and efficient, you choose the size bowl you want and then select the ingredients you would like to have. Service is always excellent and they are very flexible if you want to mix and match some of the ingredients. This location has indoor and outside seating, and on Sundays, kids eat free. I think that's a great way to bring in families on Sunday, but also helps you introduce kids to some very tasty vegetables and other healthy foods. Also on Sundays, they have somebody making fun balloons for kids. I have been to this place many times, and it has never disappointed. It gets very busy at lunch time, but table rotation is fairly fast. read more
