I didn't receive a response until the end of day on Tuesday. I also called her bakery multiple times and had no answer or response-- for 4 days! By that point, I already found another bakery to handle the cake, but had I waited, I would have been left in a very bad position. As a fellow business owner, I don't say this lightly ~ the level of communication here is pretty unacceptable. It takes legit, less than a minute to acknowledge an inquiry and set expectations. A simple "I'm totally booked out" or "I'll follow up" would have demonstrated basic professionalism and respect for a potential client's time and energy. When someone goes out of their way to find your business, fill out your form, and actively try to give you money ~ silence and negligence send a very clear message about how that effort is valued. You haven't earned a client here-- and maybe that doesn't matter to you, but word of mouth is the best form of advertisement, and that matters. My response to Christy's response: It takes less than a minute to fire off an email, or simply answer your phone. There's no such thing as "Easter Monday"-- it's just Monday. When someone reaches out with a clear deadline, a quick acknowledgment isn't optional-- it's expected. Even a one-line response would have been enough for me to plan accordingly.

Service was amazing and they are so understanding and thoughtful! The cake was beautiful and had lots of excavator toys on top for my son and other kids. They decorated and wrote on it perfectly. Now for the main reason... The cake tasted absolutely amazing!!! Chocolate cake, Cookie Butter inside and Cinnamon Frosting outside. I contacted Ruth through her website and she got back to me really quick to confirm everything I wanted on the cake and the price. I paid for the cake in advance on Venmo. Ruth even sent me a follow up email to confirm we had no allergies before she made the cake. I arrived at her home to pick up the cake and she had the cake ready. I actually had brought cash with me as I completely forgot that I already paid her the week before on Venmo. As we were socially distancing and it was a swift transaction, she contacted me by email after to let me know that I had double paid her and Venmo me back my money. I was really touched that she was so honest to let me know as I completely spaced out about the situation. I was so busy setting up my son's party I Way overpaid for the cake at that point. The cake was magnificent and everything I could have wanted and more. It was a party for two, with just me and my son. I ate this entire cake over a course of 5 days. I'm not even kidding.
