Walked in the front door asked what the minimum charge was, was pointed to a bunch of books on a table. They started they started at $100 went outside and talked to my husband and came back in, instantly they had me sign a form and another girl came over and asked what are you looking, I said something fine line to match what I had on my arm already. She found something and printed it, put it on my skin. I said it looked fine. Tattoo took just under two hours. Went to the front to pay and was told it was $1600.00USD I WAS SHOCKED. I explained to them that that was nowhere in my budget. I had no idea the tattoo would cost that much and I was asking how they came up with that amount. They showed me some sort of graft and said that every square that they could count was $85. My tattoo was long but again just line work so it came out to $1600 and they explained that the shading she had suggested was extra. As someone with quite a few tattoos, I tried to explain to them that I knew this tattoo wasn't worth $1600. I've only been in the chair for less than two hours and then if I would have known the price, I would've never gotten the tattoo. The gentleman at the desk began to be rude and told me that this is Vegas and I couldn't just expect to get a $200 tattoo He then said if I went to a restaurant in ordered food and ate it would I not pay? I explained that if I looked at a menu and realized I couldn't afford it I would have not bought the food and again explained that nobody discussed pricing with me, he said did you pick the size? I said no. They tattoo artist did. I do understand this is also my fault. I should've asked more questions, but I had a couple drinks and had a ballpark between $300 and 500 USD. I explained to them I didn't want to be difficult I would pay for the tattoo, but I wanted a fair price. They told me they'd give me a deal and tried to charge me $1400USD then the girl came over from the tattoo and said that she was shocked no one went over pricing with me and said they could do it for $1200.00USD. I showed them the conversion and explain explained to them that this tattoo would cost me $2000 Canadian We went back-and-forth for a minute and then they said well how much do you want to pay for it? I agreed to $1000.00 USD which cost me just under $1400.00 Canadian. I left feeling taken advantage of. I felt like all they were trying to do is get the most amount of money out of me and they were hoping I would just pay and leave. I asked what their prices were like and he said they start at $100 which is fine I assumed mine would be $100 since it's small. When I got there he said it would be $200. It's about an inch and a half and a very simple design. I asked if they had flash sheets since I wasn't trying to spend double what I had planned and he showed me some tiny little hearts that were less than a square inch for $100. I told him I was planning on spending $100-$150 and he said he could do it for $150. I sat down and the artist was amazing. Super chill and didn't mind me moving the placement. It came out great I absolutely love it. When I got up to the counter to pay, the manager told me it's $200. I had asked if they could add a tiny bit of color BEFORE I sat down and was not told the price would be increased. I LOVED my experience here at Vegas Ink! I got my first tattoo here with my mom and aunt, and we all got small 4 leaf clovers near our wrist areas! (This was also a walk in) Nestor was our artist and he was incredibly kind, quick, and extremely clean. I would say that overall the experience was great for my first ever tattoo, everyone seemed nice, and I would definitely come back/recommend this place to other people. In February 2023 I went in to have my 5 year old daughters name tattooed on me that she had been practicing wiring and Eric was able to knock it out perfectly in about 15 minutes, I was so happy with it that 3 weeks later I was back in town and had him tattoo my sons handwritten name from some art he did when he was 5 years old. Just like the first one for my daughter, 15 minutes later I had a perfect tattoo. Fast forward to September 2023 and I talked to Eric about doing a coverup of a big tattoo on my left calf I didn't like and ran some ideas of what I wanted to do with it and we came to an agreement on what could be done realistically given the old tattoo was relatively new and he got to work. Well let me tell you that just under 6 hours later I was completely blown away with what I was looking at. Eric absolutely crushed this tattoo to the point that you wouldn't even know it was a coverup unless I told you. The placement is perfect, the lines and details are absolutely incredible and he was even able to take some of the elements of the old tattoo that I liked a lot like the falling leaves and work it into the finished piece. I'm so happy that I trusted him to take care of me and the results far exceeded my expectations. I went from having a piece that I hated, to having something that I absolutely love and want to have expanded on the rest of my leg. Overall my experience with Eric has been nothing but amazing, he's a great dude and an absolutely amazing artist. I can't recommend him enough and I can't wait until I can go back and have him add on to what he started. read more

My 4th time in Vegas, last stop of 2 week road trip with my best friend. BE WARNED!!! THIS SHOP RUNS A SCAM!!! According to the manager, Mary, this tattoo shop charges BY THE INCH!! That's right! However, this is not explained until AFTER you get the tat, despite having a quote from your artist. I have "sleeves" and several other tattoos and after I recieved a quote from the ARTIST of $100-$125 I agreed to have 2 small gummy bears done. My friend went first having received the same quote for her 2 small gummy bears. I was MID-TAT when my friend informed me her tat was going to be $450!!! I stopped my tattoo and asked what mine was actually then going to cost, and I was floored when advised by Mary the manager, with color, my tat, 2 small bears less than the size of my thumb, would be $650!!!! WTF!?!?! I advised Mary what we were initially quoted and she seemed upset with her tattoo artist and proceeded to tell me I was being unreasonable. I told her I would not pay such an exuberant cost and when told that was the price, I asked her to phone the police as I felt something was wrong. She did not phone the police and would not let me leave her store. I phoned the police myself and waited over 45 mins on hold to non-emergency services. I hung up and crying, paid a "discounted" price of $350. Still crying, I left to calm down and after reading YELP reviews and realizing I was not the only one scammed, I returned to the shop to speak with Mary Mary brushed me off by saying I signed a form acknowledging I was aware of the pring and that pricing was posted. I WAS aware of the price, I got a quote from the tat artist. And the posting for the pricing simply states tattoos are perminant (surprise), the shop minimum is $100 (fine, even though other reviews say the shop minimum is $250 so it seems managers just tell whatever they want to whomever they want), and cost is nonrefundable (sure). It says nothing about paying by the INCH or that you will be ripped off only after you have your ink in. I filed a police report after reading several other YELP reviews claiming the same experience, which was sadly validating. I now have a crappy tattoo that is not finished as I was advised by Mary that finishing it would be another $100 despite the artist already having her colors laid out and my aprox $125 quote included coloring. So now it's going to cost me even more money to have this fixed and finished. I requested an investigation into the charges on my credit card. I've emailed the shop 3x asking to have this poor business practice, the questionable ethics at play, and the overcharge addressed and have received NO REPLY TO MY EMAILS. I will now be filing a complaint with the Nevada BBB. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS!!! read more
