The Director, "Clif the Closer", greeted me with a warm smile as soon as I walked up to the school, and a southern style of hospitality even though he's not a Southerner. Clif then sealed the deal with providing insight about their curriculum and how their school follows protocol, etc., which was important to me. Especially after later hearing what's going on with schools, etc., and CDL driver's licenses in various states. Then for the classroom instruction there was "New York Russ"! Russ is bold, a New-Yorker, and helps you find what you're made of. His voice carries, but his compassion for his students carries much louder. You quickly learn the first day that he is one that cares and truly wants you to succeed. And the class was fun! On to the driving range was "Not much of a talker - Walker"! Mr. Walker speaks in a low tone but tells you everything you need to know. He is patient and will advocate for getting you additional help if needed. I'm sure I added a few gray hairs to his crown, but he never gave up on me. Thanks so much Mr. Walker! Then there was the other driver trainer, "Mellow Matt"! Matt filled in my last week for Mr. Walker during his medical leave. Matt has tons of patience, is always positive, uplifting, and helped me get to the finish line. I didn't have much interaction with the driving range manager, Kyle, but he would also come out to give us some good tips and was also passionate about making sure we all succeeded. They ALL are ALWAYS looking for different ways to help you succeed which makes me teary-eyed. Like, they really are watching you and trying to see what they can do different the next day, if it didn't work yesterday, to make it all click. He came home and was sick bad I was considering signing up for the next class, but I cannot justify standing outside for hours doing pre-trip training in extreme heat with only a few breaks. If a student suffers heat exhaustion or heat stroke, then what? The school should consider adjusting the schedule, doing half days, or finding safer ways to train during dangerous heat conditions. Having students outside all day in this weather is unacceptable Again, I've heard the school itself is decent, but student safety needs to come first. These students are paying around $6,500 for training, and they deserve to be taken care of otherwise that's negligence PLEASE Consider the health & safety of every student, especially those who may not handle extreme heat well.

We were able to schedule a couple of drive lessons with the same instructor, as well as with other instructors for how different people teach. The drive test refresher was also a welcome lesson. John H. was amazing! We had arranged he would pick up our son from the house and then we would meet them at the DMV for the scheduled drive test. We had a little paperwork issue which was my fault, but John was there and got me the right contact to be able to remedy the issue quickly and still be able to take the drive test. That said, the views weren't dramatically different from what you might see flying over Vegas in an airplane. The helicopter definitely gives you a closer and more unique perspective, but I wouldn't say it completely blew me away. Was it worth it? I'd say yes, it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you've never been on a helicopter before. However, the views of Vegas themselves were a bit underwhelming for me. Maybe I've just been to Vegas too many times, but the scenery didn't have the same wow factor that others might experience on their first visit. Overall, it was a fun bucket-list experience, and I'm glad I did it, even if it's probably not something I'd rush to do again.

They give lanyards with phone cases for you to keep in the end and also a free bag to keep your belongings in which you can bring with you or lock it in their lockers. Locks are provided. The pilot and driver also both offered me a hair tie since it will be very windy up in the sky. I was extremely nervous especially while going up but our pilot had such a calming voice and she explained everything that we should be expecting before we encountered it. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, our experience aligns with several others. Often times, only people frustrated with…read moresomething will bother to write a negative review, but those with a positive (or expected) experience will not write a review. So it always tends to be skewed and you have to take reviews with a grain of salt, so I was hopeful that would be the case for us and we wouldn't experience the problems that others have. Just as several others have mentioned here, our flight was cancelled the day of, after we arrived. We booked SEVEN months in advance, paid in full ~ $1200 for family of four. We arrive 30 minutes prior as instructed. They tell us, sorry, we have mechanical issues, so you are cancelled. They say, we tried to call you (we received no call because, guess what, cell service is not the best around the south rim of the grand canyon...). We said, we have seen at least 4 helicopters flying, how about canceling someone else, how do you select? Did everybody else here book 7+ months ago? Who is prioritized? The reality is they overbooked, and because we paid 7 months previous, we paid less (I looked, their prices went up since we had booked). So I guess we were the easy choice to cancel... They offered to rebook the next day, yet they know that nearly nobody can accomodate this, so it is a hollow offer where they know they can "do their part to try to rectify", but also know that nearly everybody would then just cancel, and the problem takes care of itself. Great business model... Everybody that is going to book a helicopter trip over the grand canyon is there on vacation, and nobody is staying anywhere near grand canyon village or the location of this airport. It is an hour drive just from Williams and the main road, one way. Anyone who books this is driving in from Sedona or Vegas or Phoenix for a half/one day trip, and vacation days/time is precious. Its not as though you can just go do something else nearby and wait until the next day... We had one window of time planned, and the time of this flight was it. I suppose that is why they do not really care about customer service, or screwing someone last minute. Its not like they are planning for repeat customers really... Kids were beyond disappointed. The build-up and excitement, only to be completely let down last minute. They cried as we were walking out and leaving because the talk of the helicopter ride was happening for months prior. And now to the refund. The girl at the counter said the refund would take 7-10 days. Ok, thats typical, whatever. 12 days goes by, no refund. E-mail and call. They respond and say that, because its been more then 6 months, we cannot refund back to your card. We can either ACH (and attached a form) or send a check. I respond to tell then to send a check. Who in their right mind is going to provide their bank account number and routing number into a microsoft word file and e-mail it back? Fast forward ~ 21 days. Still no check. So send another e-mail (haven't called yet because that is a whole other experience...). I receive and e-mail back, not a response to my e-mail, but a carbon copy of the first one sent 9 days prior saying I can use ACH or check. Um, huh? So here we are now, still no refund. Fortunately, since we were heading to Vegas that day (was supposed to be right after our helicopter flight), we booked with Maverick for a helicopter flight over Las Vegas the next day. $450 for family of four, and the experience was excellent all around. I'd recommend Maverick, and avoid this company.

How the heck are you going to tell a young driver one hour before their test that she couldn't use the vehicle? Her instructor Tina had said to my daughter that she was going to call her a week prior and let her know but didn't do it. my wife and let my daughter know we would be there and she could use our truck. We pulled up to the DMV and found a sweet spot for her to start the test and her driving instructor came up to us and said she failed the test. What and the ...? She didn't even make it out of the parking spot. I said to my daughter we got this don't take it personally we use our vehicle to take the next test. Think about this before using this company it could happen to you. The company called and said they would let my daughter use their car for her next test at no charge. We declined and just wanted the money refunded. NO CALL BACK! As a parent, I would keep your kids away from here in my opinion.

The parking is free and there are plenty of spots available! Signs are setup when you enter the building on where to go for the testing center. The team members were helpful and friendly!
