    SoulChik Plate Hot

Bring cash to tip, as I did t see an option on the screen when I paid, and felt bad so I'm going to run some cash up to them when I get a chance. Food and service were great and quick. I got the regular fried chicken sandwich with fries and the Philly with yams. The chickn sandwich was good, but I really liked the Philly. My husband really liked the chicken sandwich over the Philly, so it's really just a matter of preference. The yams are great! Not too sweet and are spiced just right. The fries are good too, not super crispy, but flavored with seasonings really well, though you might want to add some salt if you want a more salty taste. I will be back for sure!!!!

If you're looking for the best Nashville hot "chicken" of your life, look no further than Vegelicious. As a vegetarian , I never thought I'd be raving about "hot chicken," but this place has completely changed my perspective. First off, the flavor is out of this world and The spice level is perfect--I couldn't believe it was plant-based. The sides are equally impressive. The creamy mac & cheese, and crispy steak fries were perfect. The staff here is amazing , and the atmosphere is casual but stylish. It's clear they take pride in their food and really know how to elevate plant-based eating. This place is a must-visit. It's hands down the best I've ever had!

Hot Chicken Plate with Fries, Collards and Mac 'n Cheese

A wide selection of delicious vegan food with excellent service! We were searching for vegan options on our way to the Nashville airport and found Vegelicious through Yelp. We really enjoyed the Hot Chicken entree that came with seasoned fries, tasty collard greens and Mac 'n Cheese. Thrilled to add to their list of excellent reviews! A must visit if you're in the area or driving through!

The menu looks amazing and they have house-made seitan. There's everything from soul food to salads on the menu, but you're not overloaded with choices. Oh my goodness, they have a ton of desserts, so your sweet tooth cravings are a match here. It seems quiet although their shared parking situation can get hectic. The restrooms weren't available while I was there, but they have them. The staff are pleasant and informative. You can't rush goodness, so order ahead if you're short on time. If you choose to dine in or wait on-site, try the ginger beer. I think I had lemonade because there was no fizz, but it was not slacking on ginger The seating is intimate & the decor is refreshing & fun. Have a little lunch meeting, date night, or social meetup here. Eat to live and actually enjoy at this second location. They have another location in Nashville on Fisk. Hope you enjoy!

Absolutely love Vegelicious. Hands down one of the best spots in Nashville if you're looking for good, hearty vegan food. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. The portions are generous too, so you definitely leave full. The staff is super friendly and always make you feel welcome. Whether you're fully plant-based or just trying something new, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend the soul platter, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Still fantastic! We've been back many times and are never disappointed. I had the BBQ Chick sandwich this time around. Satisfying and yummy!

We came from Texas and decided to stop by as I saw some people talking about it on Instagram. Tasty food. Clean and nicely designed place. Very friendly people, come over guys.

Walked in and waited a good 10-15 minutes before anyone came out of the back to ask us what we wanted. When someone finally came out, you order at the register in the front. Service was very slow and we had to ask for several items that never came out (like the water for the kids, our side of fries, the ranch on my dish and the bread pudding that I ordered). The portions were very small for "soul food" but it was pretty good. The bread pudding was very bland and was drenched in some sort of oil or melted "butter". Overall, I think it was good but I wouldn't be back next time I'm in town. Nice to try once though.

My parents are visiting America for the very first time -- literally their first time outside China -- and I wanted to take them somewhere that felt truly local, not a chain restaurant or tourist spot. Get Your Grub On was exactly that kind of place. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming. You can immediately feel that this is real homemade cooking -- not "corporate restaurant food." Watching him work in the kitchen and smelling the food coming out fresh honestly made the whole place feel like a true American Southern "farmhouse/local comfort food" experience. We ordered the fried chicken, catfish trio, and chicken pasta. The fried chicken was AMAZING: * perfectly crispy outside * juicy inside * smelled incredible the moment it came out But the real surprise was the catfish. It was unbelievably tender -- literally melt-in-your-mouth soft while still fresh and flavorful. Easily some of the best catfish I've ever had. Portion sizes were HUGE too. Three people ate for around $70 and we were completely full. Yes, the seasoning is definitely Southern-style and a bit salty for some Asian tastes, but even my parents -- who are completely Chinese and very familiar with authentic Chinese cuisine -- still genuinely enjoyed the food and kept talking about how good and unique the experience was. That says a lot. This place feels like the kind of hidden local restaurant that makes traveling meaningful. Not fancy. Not trendy. Just real people making real food with heart. Highly recommended if you want authentic local Southern comfort food and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

The waiter was super nice and very helpful, giving us suggestions on what to try since it was everyone's first time. He was the only one working though, so the service was very slow. He said multiple people called out. It took quite a while for the food to come out, but once it did everything came flooding out. The only other thing was that it was much too dark inside. Once the sun went down you couldn't see much. Maybe that's the ambiance there were going got but it made it difficult to see anything. Outside of those small things, it was a great time! We didn't explore the grocery that much but it seemed like it had a nice balance of dry food goods, refrigerated items, and small objects, mostly either for cooking or the occasional gift. It was clean inside and being a grocery store had a good bit of parking outside. The restaurant is on the far right as you enter. We were greeted warmly and told to seat ourselves. Menus were delivered promptly. I ordered a Thai tea to drink. Hubs got the fried shrimp appetizer and we both chose noodles for lunch; he opted for pad see ew and I got drunken noodles. The restaurant was fairly busy but despite the crowdedness it still felt easy to have conversation with each other. Our food came out quickly but had clearly been cooked fresh. The Thai tea was the one thing that didn't hit at all. It had a very intense flavor that I couldn't quite place compared to all the other Thai teas I've had. Could just be this one is more traditional, lol. But it wasn't quite as sweet as I'm used to and it almost had a subtly salty vibe; I wouldn't get it again. That said, the cooked food items were quite good. The breading on the shrimp was incredibly crispy and even I liked them well enough at first; the flavor was light and the texture not rubbery. We did ultimately realize these shrimp had not been deveined, which is not our preference but I understand it's not a requirement to be able to eat them. The noodle dishes really shone, though. Hubs liked his pad see ew and we both thought my drunken noodles were even better. Lots of tender but still-crisp veggies in both. Strong and pleasantly aromatic basil flavor in mine. Large portion sizes. The noodles were cooked well and were pleasantly chewy. Mine was lightly spicy but nothing intense; I wound up adding more chili oil from the small container on the table. Service was a highlight throughout; the women working were very personable, got us to-go boxes, and were attentive to any other needs we had. Lots of menu choices here and fresh food prepared quickly. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.
