I have never had lamb this tender in my life. Every dish I've tried has been full of flavor and cooked to perfection. They even make beets taste good. The service is always pleasant, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the music is a vibe. It's the kind of place where you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Tried Abem for the first time and it was AMAZING! It's hard to know what you're going to get the first time you go somewhere, but everything was exceptional from the service, to the food to the coffee. My friend and I split the Awaze Tibs, and I could not stop exclaiming the whole time, each bite was such an amazing flavor. Then we did the coffee ceremony and it was so neat to see the woman come out and show us her roasting the beans. The flavor was phenomenal and we had plenty of coffee between the two of us. Definitely recommend this place, and I will be back next time I'm in town. read more

Staff were so nice and accommodated our 1yo and 2.5yo, helped select non-spicy items for the kids and made us feel reassured that it was no big deal when the 1yo left a mess under his high chair. Also offered to help carry coffee and leftovers to the car with us which was unusually thoughtful. Dining room is clean with nice natural light and plenty of parking. Food is spectacular. We got the samosas, veggie platter and chicken tibs, finished with cappuccinos. Every item was great. Picked up a bag of whole bean Ethiopian coffee to go. Will try the tiramisu next trip! I had the pleasure of dining at Abem Ethiopian Coffee on Sunday 7/14/24. The Food was fantastic. The atmosphere was superb. The restaurant was very clean and very well decorated. My guest and I had Kitfo special and the tibs and everything was delicious. We both tried the spiced tea which really didn't require sugar it was that good. We topped off our dining experience with the mango smoothie which was delicious as well. I would recommend all to try this lovely restaurant, it was a great experience with a great staff! This pace has Wonderful Ethi food and coffee! We had the mixed veggie platter which was awesome. We ordered the Lentil and beef sambusas, both of which were delish, but the beef one was really spicy. Their Ethi coffee was amazing as well! The owners were both so kind and accommodating. We'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend for anyone wanting a fresh and tasty meal! My husband, daughter, and I finally made the trek out to Antioch to try Abem for dinner after reading glowing reviews on the Foodies of Nashville Facebook group. We are big fans of Ethiopian cuisine, and Abem takes it to the next level! We started with the chicken sambusa and lentil sambusa, which were both excellent. The lentil sambusa had a bit of a kick and the chicken sambusa was mild but flavorful. The sauces that came with the sambusas were so tasty and fresh that I could have eaten them straight with a spoon. We had the vegetarian/vegan combo and the beef tibs as our entrees. The veggie combo had generous portions of the most amazing greens, cabbage, beets, chickpeas, and various lentil preparations. Each veggie was more delicious than the last. Our favorite was, surprisingly, the beets, which had a crisp acidity that provided a perfect balance to the spicier veggies. The beef tibs came out on a sizzling skillet and were tender and full of flavor with fresh spices, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, and onions. We can't wait to visit again and try their yummy-looking breakfast and coffee specialties! read more
