In an environment where overpriced smoothies and juices have become prevalent, it's refreshing to find a shop that's serving quality beverages with fresh ingredients. Each time I've stopped by, I'm impressed with the array of fruits and vegetables that are visible as my smoothie is being prepared and not hidden in a back kitchen. Most notably, the value this place provides is hard to beat. I usually opt for the medium size which is typically $8 and each size upgrade is about $1 more. The only variation in my experience usually depends on who's working on that particular day. Sometimes the staff is helpful and ready to answer questions, other times they can be a bit terse. Veggies is a small neighborhood smoothie/juice bar with a huge menu, friendly and quick service, and apparently every combination of fruits and veggies under the sun. I kept it simple and ordered a Goodness smoothie: orange, mango, and pineapple. There was a bit of a wait, it being busy and only a 1-2 person operation at a given time. But once I got my drink, it was delicious and refreshing. There isn't much seating, so plan on taking your drink to go. Veggies Natural Juice is one of the healthiest places you can go to. Has many juices. There's also smoothies. I had a Mint N Magic. It's about $7.35 for a regular. This is made with bananas, blueberries, mango, mint, and strawberries. Of course this is also good. With all these ingredients blended together it makes the best way to get fruits and vegetables. Only has juices and smoothies at this location. Unlike the cafe on Nostrand there's no food, which kind sucks. However there still is the humongous juice and smoothie menu. There's lots of good healthy options. Fresh ingredients here to make lots of healthy drinks. It's not even that expensive for how good this is. Reliable. Delicious. I love visiting Veggies for an easy meal or delight. My favorite drinks include their PB and J (a protein smoothie) and the Sunshine. I have no idea how Veggies Staff keep track of so many recipes, but every smoothie or juice I've had is consistently delicious and I recommend that anyone stop by. This location is small, with little room to sit inside and a bench to use outside, but it's nice to see all of the ingredients going into your drink, and seeing the art that fills the space. read more

Both were okay- my drink was very orange heavy and did not have much flavor or anything else. When my husband drank his smoothie it tasted like bananas, which wasn't even an ingredient listed. I got the jerk tofu patty and it was tasty and even more so with the the recommended hot sauce from the cashier. That hot sauce! Tastes like scotch bonnet goodness bursting with flavour and just the right amount of heat. The chik'n is my favourite and was rightfully sold out. It's a medley of mango, papaya, pineapple and strawberry with no nut milk. Delicious, creamy, and smooth. Just a tad too sweet, so next time I'll order something less fruit heavy. I've had some amazing experiences and some not so amazing experiences here. Food wise, the smoothies are great and the patties are delicious. I've basically tried every flavor and I like them all. The reason for the 3 star and not a 4 or 5 is inconsistent service. When I go in and the owner is there he's so friendly and upbeat so I love when he's around. When he's not there and there are other employees, I find they can be unfriendly and inattentive. Right before writing this review I went in and the lady didn't even look at me when I stepped in. I asked if they had açaí bowls and she answered no kind of rudely and then went to the back and ignored me. I ended up leaving and going to Pharmer Joe instead which is down the block. The lady behind the counter was nice and friendly. I give this place 1 star only because the juice made me sick and vomit twice. I drank the juice and a few hours later my stomach was in knots and I couldn't hold anything in. My friend who also got some bad diarrhea. I don't know what it was, the vegetables may have been bad, or they probably weren't cleaned properly but something gave me food poisoning. If you like patties, they have 'em and they are all vegetarian/vegan healthy - and pretty delicious. There are an almost overwhelmingly large number of options on the blackboard menus, but the staff is friendly and can guide you to some of the best (but don't ask a zillion questions when I'm in line behind you please!) I especially appreciate the variety of interesting protein smoothies (wide variety of nuts, milks, etc., on their own or in combination with fruits and veggies). I'm personally partial to the PB&J and the Brownie, but I tried the "jahchocolate milk" on my last visit, not knowing its inventor (Jah) was the person making it for me. I remember I used to get smoothies from here in their Bedstuy location and always loved it. I saw they are on Franklin in Crown Heights now and was happy.
