Pretty wild he refused service and didn't offer a better day. I've never had a company or service point blank say "I'll pass, here's someone else". Clearly not worth his time? Bummer. All three needed a full tune up, a few new inner tubes, and brake adjustments. I thought to google mobile bike mechanics, and found Gears to You. I followed website instructions, sent a text to Daryl with requested information, and got a detailed response within the hour. The price to get the three bikes was competitive, even when noting an additional travel charge. We got an appointment booked and Daryl was at my house a few days later. He was on time, professional, and respectful. He had all the equipment he needed to tune up and fix the bikes and we were up and running within a few hours. I was thoroughly impressed at how easy and efficient the whole process was and would highly recommend Daryl's services! Will for sure be using again when bike maintenance needs arise!

Today was Thursday Sit and Chat, 2:30-4 pm Corner on the Market. He loves it because people enjoy him. Plus food and Independence! On the journey home was Grey Matter Bike Shop. We stopped to investigate. You donate a bike, they refurb it. Proceeds from used bike sales are donated to Barrow Neurologic Hospital. The owner's son died from brain cancer. Barrow treated him. The owner is paying back by healing old bicycles and donating the profit.. They also have a full showroom of fine electric and pedal powered bicycles at standard pricing. Plus excellent repair and service staff. Mr. G wanted a bike with a wide, comfortable seat. Sit and Chat Dave advised him to pick a bike short enough to not injure his groin areas when putting both feet on the pavement. We found a One Speed coaster brake cruiser, semi-fat tires. Simple to ride and repair. Wide, supportive seat. Built for comfort. Nearly new, brand new rear tire. $125.00. We pick it up tomorrow ar 10 am.

I had no idea where to turn and chose Freeride based on online reviews. What a great choice! Brian figured out the problems and what parts were needed, and tried 3 different sets of training wheels before finding a set that fit properly. The look on my grandson's face as he rode his bike the first time was priceless, and I wished Brian had been there to see the fruits of his labor. As luck would have it my bike broke two days later. I took it right in to Brian, who was able to get me back on the road in no time. Both times I was in the shop it was packed with customers. (It reminded me of some little hole-in-the-wall diner that is always crowded.) Brian and the staff there made time for each customer, who ranged from young kids to senior citizens. The store is packed with bikes and accessories, but for me the repair section had my full attention. Repair costs were very fair and reasonable. This store is the epitome of small business. I will be back. If you need a bike, or e-bike, or accessories, or repairs, do yourself a favor and visit Freeride. You won't be disappointed.

I said anything up to $60 is approved without a confirmation. A set of two well-reviewed tubeless tires is $50 online, see image. I was charged $60 for a single solid tire, which is far worse, as explained by YOUR check-in rep. You took advantage of my pre-approval to order the most expensive tire approved. I ordered a tubeless tire FROM THE OEM for $35 including delivery, see image. So now I need to spend $50 for Archer to install a crappy $60 tire plus $35 for the correct tire and another $50 to have someone other than Archer replace the brand-fing-new tire that I didn't want. Minus a star for a misleading statement.

Some of the smaller shops even think it's acceptable to talk down to me when I am asking about service. The Team at Scottsdale Bike Co. are my kind of people. They'll openly chat about what I can fix on my own and what I need them to handle for me. Their labor costs are the lowest I have found in Scottsdale, and I genuinely enjoy chatting for a few minutes with the service team when I have a chance to pop in to get some work done or see if they can find a part for me. What started out as a Google search to rent a quality and fun mountain bike, at an affordable /fair price, lead us to Scottsdale Bike Company. Quick call on the drive from California confirmed they had what we needed. Upon arrival they noted we were stacking the bikes in the back of our suv, and one of the guys offered his personal hitch rack to ease our load and set it up for us. After a fun hour at the Mesa bike park, we had my gfs son's personal bike break. After fiddling and realizing the severity we quickly ran back to SBC just before closing. The guys got right to work without much more than a question to see if they could get us back on the road before we left the shop. I rented a Large MTB and they offered to swap us out for a bike more fitting for the 12 year old. I said thanks, we'll take it. They then insisted I didn't miss out and sent us on our way with another bike rental. A beautiful amazing and quality full suspension MTB. They inspected each unit thoroughly. Noting one had some damage, and despite them being able to send us with it, they did not. They ensured they sent us on the trails with a solid well looked after unit. As we came back to return the next day, and pick up the bike. They did everything they could to get us running, but it being a 10 year old model (They didn't have parts on hand) they offered to help but would take time to get parts, we're just in town for a short while. When I asked what we owed them for inspecting and trying to fix it, they declined our payment outside of the rentals. True gentleman, incredibly kind, generous with their time and resources. I'd pay every penny to them for parts, service, even a purchase. Whether visiting, or a local, take a minute to give them a chance to have your business! You won't regret it. As honest as they come.
