I bought a new bike a while ago and have been meaning to get fitted on it. A couple of friends highly recommended I see Mike for the fit. I called Mike on a Friday afternoon and left a message. I figured it would take some time for him to get back to me but he called back in about 20 minutes. When I asked about scheduling a fit, Mike asked several typical question about the bike and what I was using it for and asked when I would like to get it done. I asked if he would be able to get it done over the weekend (again, this was Friday afternoon), Mike's response was, I am pretty booked up tomorrow but I have 24/7 access to the building so you tell me what works for you. Scheduled the fit for Sunday morning. This is the third bike I've been fitted on and all with different fitters, one using the computer and sensor assisted AI, and one old school with a plumb line and checking angles. I arrived about 20 minutes early and sent Mike a text thinking I might have to wait until it was closer to my appointment time, but Mike responded right away and was already there. Mike quickly got me set up on the trainer and checked out my currently riding position. Mike used the tried and true old school methods with angles and plumb line to complete the fit. As mike was making adjustments, he explained what he was doing and why, which was extremely helpful. Mike also provided some advice about my riding form and techniques to be more efficient and powerful. In addition to the fit, he checked the shifting, chain, and tires to make sure everything was in good working order. I was nearing the end of my chain life so at his recommendation, I had him replace it after the fit. All said and done, I was in and out in about an hour and a half with a great fit and new chain for $209. That was extremely worth it. Mike is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. This man is amazing. I wanted him to look at my Giant gravel bike for a shifting issue. I also brought along my Trek Demone S for a squeak problem. He fixed got the shifting fixed in a heartbeat on the Giant. Then he looked at the Trek and determined it could use a new chain and a good cleaning of the idlers on the rear derailleur. He had the chain in stock and quickly fixed the idlers and added a new chain. I was in and out of his shop in less than an hour and couldn't be happier. Price was very reasonable. The shift lever on the Giant was near useless. He said it will work for a while, but sent me a link for a new shifter on Amazon. He will install it when the parts come in. When you buy a bike, especially a road bike. You "must" get it fitted for your body size and shape and how you plan to use it. When a bike is fitted properly, it will be a joy to ride. You will not have joints and muscles hurting. This is a major fact. Now that you have your bike.... You need a bike fitter. Mike Morross is an amazing fitter.
