This was disappointing overall but that comes in two parts. The venue was fine, porch was good with umbrellas to keep you shaded. We started with nachos, which came out after quite a wait. Weirdly the queso was cold. I don't mean warmish, I mean legit cold. It was rather strange. Certainly unexpected. The lasagna was ok, but not great. The pizza however was good. So if you come here for pizza only I think you'll be happy, the wait staff didn't seem to care a whole lot about service and the items that weren't pizza were disappointing. read more

Always double check your receipts before leaving. Our server charged me double for our tab when we ate there today. She placed the receipt a little far from my sight and hand me the credit card scanner right away. When I tapped I really thought we spent $135 ($160 after tip) but when I checked my receipt she added not just one but multiple food that we didn't order. I went inside the restaurant looking for her and told her about the additional charges and all she told me was the last customer didn't pay. TL;DR: Solid pizza with lots of toppings, but no delivery or garlic knots This is a great place for pizza, but I have 2 issues. One, they don't deliver, which is a bummer when you don't want to leave your house. Two, they don't have garlic knots - only garlic bread. Other than that the pizza is pretty solid. The Snow Pig is yummy and had lots of the topping on it. Willie's White Room could use some help though - it needs more sauce on it. Lastly the Popeye's Passion was pretty good. Terrible experience at lunch today. Overpriced, our waitress disappeared. My daughter ordered spaghetti and said her allergies for diary and egg. Our waiter did not check on us ONCE, and we eventually had to go find the manager to say something. We didn't bother fixing the pizza because we knew it would take another hour to get it. The manager comped our pizza, but when we went to pay the remaining bill, no one had change for $100 except the bar. The manager didn't even try to give us our change quickly, so we had to find her and insist on getting on our change before leaving. Overall it was a terrible experience. Stopped here super late night during our Vail stay. The bar was still open so we decided to get some pizza and drinks. They were one of the few places open since it was off season. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We got a delicious pizza from here. Thick crust but perfectly cooked, tons of toppings. I got an espresso martini and that was great too. We got some local beer to go as well. It was definitely costly but they were one of the only open places at the time. While this is by far one of the best, if not THE best pizza in Vail, the service is horrible. The server made us feel like an inconvenience just for asking for olives only on half of the pizza. What happened to our yummy Vendetta's? We've been coming here for years. There were 13 of us and all of our food was bland. The pizzas have changed. No flavor on the pizza crust and for some reason they don't put sauce on the pizza. It was dry and flavorless. So sad because we used to love this place. The Snow Pig was our go to and it has really changed. We thought that it was just an off night so we tried again and same bland dishes. So sad. We had to sit outside even though there was indoor seating, our food came at different times for our group. By the time 2 of us were done eating the rest of our party hadn't even got their food, and because it was fall in Vail the evening was chilly, and my food also became chilly. The few warm bites I had were really good. The whole experience was rounded out by a very unpleasant waitress, she wasn't very attentive. I ordered the Cesar Salad and the Salsiccia pasta (sicilian sausage, green pea, fresh mozz, vodka sauce, rigatoni, parmesan) and it was AMAZING. I shared the pasta with my friend because we both weren't that hungry, but once we started eating it we wished we had each gotten full portions instead. It was so delicious, the best thing on the menu that we all ordered. The other two friends we were with ordered other pastas - I believe both had seafood in them - but they said they weren't very tasty and they would have ordered ours instead of they could! First of all its $65 for public parking at Vail Village and the restaurants don't validate your parking ticket, so add that to your meal!! Next we waited for one hour and fifteen minutes to be seated. I checked numerous times to see if a table was available and there were numerous open and tables that had been vacated and available at all times. The host was rather nonchalant and rude; he didn't seem to care one way or the other about the wait. I wanted to be very impressed with this restaurant but it just didn't happen. Our food came out long before our salad and we had to cancel our appetizer which came out after the late salads. Our server only returned once to let us know he had forgot to put the appetizer order, thus why they were late. It's not pretentious and staff is friendly when they're not being crushed by the crowds at the end of the ski day. The prices are reasonable and the quality is good. I feel like vail especially in its village should not only have great service but great food as well... and we didn't get both. So extremely annoyed and disappointed with the whole experience. Waiter let us know the pizza would take 45 min to come out so he recommended the garlic bread as an appetizer. 30 min later we hadn't received any food and our waiter came out giving us an excuse that the garlic bread was never made. An hour went by and our pizza had finally arrived. My margarita pizza was missing the sauce and they just placed cheese and 3 sliced tomatoes on top. The pizza was soggy and so thin. Disgusting. This place evidently has WAY too much business to cater to new visitors to Vail. Worst customer service we have ever have at any restaurant anywhere in the world. Ordered over the phone and was told pizzas would be ready in 35-40 minutes. Didn't realize that Vail Village is pedestrian traffic only. So I parked in a spot on the edge of the Village and my wife walked 3 blocks to get to the restaurant. She asked a waiter where to pick up pizza and he was very rude to her. No one at the bar acknowledged her at all. After waiting at the bar for another 15 minutes, she was gruffly told that "we're swamped, you just have to wait longer". It was late at night, and we were worried that they wouldn't serve us, but we arrived and sat at the bar and had a great time! The bartender was really attentive and friendly. They have a good selection of local beers so we ordered some of those to give them a try. We then ordered a large Popeye's passion, and it was delicious. It came with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and black olives. The dough was perfectly crisp, and they put a ton of ingredients which is a plus. It was really neat to sit and watch them prepare it as well! I am sort of disappointed we were unable to return to have another slice, but I am sure I will stop in on our next trip.
