About ten minutes into my wife's service, the manager began loudly criticizing and reprimanding the employee helping her. This happened in front of customers and created an awkward, tense atmosphere. The way he spoke to his staff member came across as disrespectful and unprofessional. Afterward, my wife respectfully spoke to the manager and explained that the situation could have been handled differently and privately. Instead of acknowledging that, he gave several excuses and defended his behavior. I then spoke with him myself and asked for an apology, but again there was no accountability -- only more justification. As a customer and as a parent bringing my family into a business, I expect a professional environment where employees are treated with respect. The experience left a bad impression, not because of the staff member helping us, but because of how management handled the situation. If you value kindness and professionalism, this was disappointing to witness.

Shortly after that visit, I started noticing inflammation, pain, and irritation around my toenail. At first, I thought it was just temporary sensitivity from the pedicure--but it never improved. Fast forward to now (March), and the issue has still not resolved. After looking into it and dealing with this for months, it's very clear that I developed a fungal infection, along with ongoing inflammation around the nail. This has been frustrating and honestly upsetting, because something that was supposed to be self-care turned into a long-term issue that I'm still dealing with months later. I can't say exactly what went wrong during my service, but I would strongly encourage this salon to take a closer look at their sanitation practices and tool hygiene. Situations like this shouldn't happen. This place is beautiful if you choose to come here, but please be cautious and pay attention to how tools are cleaned and handled.

Anywho...pain relief was virtually instantaneous. I thanked Nina for her services and about to get up to leave and was promptly yet politely told to park my keister meester. She told me "You pay for pedicure...you get pedicure". Probably one of the most diabolical tortures of my 40+ years of callus building on my feet. She might as well have taken a belt sander to them. Nina was happy and talkative and fun. I like that. And I am ticklish on my feet. See previous reviews of mine for my "Don't you dare judge me" clause of my reviews. Having finished grinding (and I literally mean grinding) my feet...I was out of pain...Nina was happy...and you cannot help but smile when Nina does.
