We found ourselves driving through Salem, OR earlier and thus, in need of a spot for a good vegan meal! Well, the vegan gods rained plant based blessings upon us by guiding (some might say .. delivering lol) us to Venti's Cafe & Beer Vault in the charming downtown area of Salem. Upon entering, I first took notice of the whimsical welcoming ambiance inside, sort of reminded me of Chickpea in Vancouver, BC. Also, I had to fight back a smirk when reading about the upcharge for anyone ordering meat based options, I mean it's about time eateries started being vegan by default and adding an upcharge "meat tax" lol instead of the typical vegan-tax we vegans all too often have to incur. It's no wonder the vegan gods delivered us :) to Venti .. given that everything they had to offer was truly divine, which I offer without hyperbole of any kind, just complete sincerity!! The Grilled Cheese consisted of a parmesan crusted sourdough bread with not one but *two* melted vegan cheeses (cheddar and smoked provolone), the Truffle Fries were bold and unapologetic in their truffle-y goodness, the Tomato Basil Soup was rich and loaded with flavor and last but certainly not least, the Vegan Red Curry Mac was really delicious and brought the punch. For the latter, the individual bites didn't feel hot in and of themselves but rather it was the accumulated effect that really left a lasting impression. I think the dish could maybe benefit from a side of vegan yogurt, to add a freshness and help balance the heat but that's not to imply this dish was lacking in any way, it was sooo good! As if that wasn't enough, they also offer a raw vegan cake dessert. Sadly, we didn't get the chance to try as we didn't take notice until after we had already ordered our food. Between the decadence of the food and joyful ambiance, coupled with a charming location in downtown Salem, this will definitely be a place for use to revisit many time over!

Great service, pretty yummy food. It would be cool to see more organic options though for people with food sensitivity.

I have been here a few times now, we drive from Albany just for this place. I've tried the vegan avocado burger and the boulder bowl, they were both AMAZING. The tots are also delicious. Probably the best vegan food i've ever had and I consider myself an avid "tryer" of vegan food lol. Staff is super nice and the vibe is great & a great happy hour menu!! Couldn't recommend more. (I want to add it's not only vegan, my boyfriend loves the regular mac!)

The food was absolutely delicious, and I was so impressed by the incredible variety of vegan options. We tried the nachos, red curry, and the BTA pita--all fantastic! The space itself is super cute, with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The chef was incredibly friendly and even came by to chat with us, offering great recommendations and making sure we could get exactly what we wanted. I think there's even a bar downstairs, which adds to the charm. Overall, this was such a great experience and definitely an amazing stop. I'll be back anytime I'm in the area!

I've been coming here for over a decade and it never gets old! Tons of vegan options. My favorite is the Cajun Bowl. Healthy, fast, and delicious. My go-to spot for downtown dining. I also love that they have outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine while I eat. Service is always friendly and it's great to know I'm supporting a local business!

Oh man! So delicious. Korean Bowl. Great outdoor dining area and beer selections! Friendly and helpful staff!

Moroccan Pita and The Original with yakisoba and chicken and all the veggies.

Well I hate to have to do this. I'm basing this review on something I always order /ordered here and been coming to ventis since the reed opera house. I would always order The Original bowl. With yakisoba noodles and all the veggies. Even after they changed there chicken. I miss the big green flash ovens with those huge chunks of chicken. Now all you get is a few decent sized pieces of chicken that doesn't seem as if it's cooked to order. Also now they got rid of the yakisoba noodles! I get downsizing and what not but make it makes sense. If you're going to keep The Original on the menu than first off it shouldn't cost freaking 18 dollars for just some rice, chicken and veggies. The OG meal should be one thing that should be an OG price. I know inflation and all that. But my goodness. It's one of the simplest things on the menu. This place was part of my teenage years. Dino I still love ya. But dang. I have no reason to come back and eat here now. Again this review is only for the Original Bowl. Still great place and good vibes. But so expensive.

Loved all the veggie options. Lots of food for the price. I got Med bowl with falafel. Hubby got BTA. Both were very tasty. Quick service. Highly recommend for vegetarians and vegans.

Unfortunate as the climate of sobriety continues to gain popularity. The featured musician was outstanding, but I think the lack of acoustic sound proofing, mood lighting, and loud talkers distracted from his performance. There should be some sort of separation of those there to enjoy the music and others there to visit out of respect for the performer. Additionally, the poster misspelled his name and had no address (I ended up at another location). Small but notable gaffes.

The day before my wedding, we were told that a beer was unavailable for them to provide.. the ONE beer the groom wanted most. There was no chance of a keg being provided. Lovely right?? I figured maybe a discount would have been provided or some kind of accommodation.. nope! Then at the wedding, one of the two ciders ran out within the first hour. Which seemed a little difficult to believe considering not many were drinking it, and it had only been maybe 45 minutes of the taphouse being opened. So it seems as though they brought a small remainder of an already opened keg. Again, no additional ciders brought as a backup option. Towards the end of the drink service/wedding, the bartenders made a comment to another vendor employee, "we need to hurry and get out of here because we over served these guests" and packed up and left. For the money we paid.. I am very very disappointed!!

Turns out they're right next door, tucked back a bit from the roadway so easy to miss you and when you're sober. Glad I noticed it as we were driving off, as it's a great taphouse with a large number of beers on draft, in excess of 20 I believe. Service is very gracious, and you don't have to commit to official tasters, they're willing to pour you a little splash of several beers for you to figure out what it is you'd actually like to taste. That said, we opted to do an official flight of four IPAs, one of which was a hazy. All pretty interesting; ended up ordering a pint of one of them to share. Like a lot of tap rooms, they use the app DigitalPour to list their beers so you can check them out online if you like. We'll probably be back again. We didn't order any food while we were there, but what we smelled, and looked at appeared to be pretty good.
