Yes, I read good reviews and i know that most are fake. not experience I've had with Venture Solar! Yes they installed it and I've had at least 3 inspectors by now who all found flaws, last one was by just few days ago. I am a senior citizen on a very tight budges and very low income who wanted to to save on my electric bills. Venture Solar only cares about selling you the panels and takes no responsibility for lack of transparency and misrepresentation! I specifically asked what happens in the winter when there is no sun and was told not to worry about as I have a set payment. Well guess what, it's not true! instead of saving me money I have double the payment now because I have to pay for solar and because it does not produce enough energy I have huge bills from the electric company as well which I can't afford to pay. Considering that I literally use basic necessities to save electricity I still pay $300 a month for the solar and to electric company. Does anybody cares? No I explained my situation to bunch of people and all I get is that they are sorry that their sales person was not transparent and misinformed me and to wait until summer and perhaps eventually I'll get credit. I don't need eventually, I need now, it's now I don't have a budget to pay additional money. They put me in a desperate situation without offering a solution. And they tried to buy me for $300 to get me to remove negative reviews I've posted! For $300? This is going to cost me at least double that much to pay for their error but do they give a damn? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! They are young and they can't understand what it is to be on a fixed income. No empathy, no care as long as they get their bonuses for selling those panels. I had been dealing with a solar installation saga for almost 2 years. A contractor put panels on my roof with no permitting, and I was found in violation of city building and electric code ordinances. My account was ultimately assigned to Venture Solar who reached out to me directly and often, making sure I was informed of every step of the process every step of the way. They were professional, communicative, empathetic, and moved with a sense of urgency. They navigated the bureaucracy and accomplished in a few months what the previous installer didn't accomplish in 2 years. First and formost the service team and tech suppory are A++++++. The local building inspector told me he has NO problems with the installers and highly recommends them! That was a hugh relief to hear him say this while he was inspecting their work. We had a few problems with the back office but they did correct all the issues we had. The sales person was very well knowledgable and even after he left the company he still helped us. The ex-employee said the company is really good to him. The job was done fast, perfect and very clean. They are working on the back office and are addressing all issues. I was very impressed when the head manager Ryan Henck stepped in. He evan gave us his cell number if we ever needed it. That is a man who cares for his company. Alot can go wrong or right, its how you handle the problems that makes this company worth a second look. Venture solar has been great. We contacted with them about a year or so ago to add panels to our house. They have been an incredible money saver. We recently went through construction on our house and needed the panels removed, stored and eventually replaced. We dealt with Ryan Henck who made the process easy. The technicians at the house that did the installations were so friendly and courteous and cleaned up any mess that was made. Poor communication throughout the company. Their representative "mike" showed up 45 minutes late, and was unprepared with the numbers, even after being sent over the pseg bill a few days earlier. I am not completely done - - - waiting for final inspection. My experience to this point is terrific! I spoke with the sales Rep Viktoriya and from there on they took care of everything. They are extremely professional and get you involved in every step of the process, calling you and giving updates. The installing was surprisingly fast and painless. They came in with a big team and got it all done in 4:00 - 5:00 hours. Clean job! After John and Josh did their best to force solar panels on us, they promised there would be a significant decrease in our con ed bill. We were shopping in BJs and bumped into a solar salesman. No money out of pocket and tax rebates. Sounded good. So we made an appointment for an in home salesman/consultation. Our salesman was on time, professional and courteous. He confirmed the tax rebates and no money out of pocket process. We then had a contract emailed to us and signed. The longest part was waiting for the building permit. We did have to email the office to inquire a couple times. But, the office personnel were very courteous and helpful. They got back us with appointment for installation, which only took a few hours. Then, a couple weeks later, came Con Ed to switch the meter and turn o the system. Now we still need a visit from the Dept of buildings for our tax rebate. But the solar panels are producing a good amount of power, even in winter. They promise it would produce enough power for us or they would pay the difference. We leased the system because we didn't want any maintenance issues. We will end up paying the same or slightly less per month to the company as we did to Con Ed. So definitely no loss. Plus we will get the tax rebates. In addition, the 2% contractual price increases per year should be lower than inflation and lower than Con Ed increases. So we should be saving a few dollars more every year. Overall great experience so far. And a cool feeling that we are contributing somewhat to the environment. read more

Venture Solar is wildly incompetent and quite frankly I'm shocked they still exist considering how they treat their customers. The only thing these people specialize in is incompetence. They cost me 7 days of PTO due to their inability to make and keep an appointment, and to manage changes or even pick up the phone. When they finally got around to showing up, they installed equipment for a program that wasn't even available in my state, thus costing me 2 more days of PTO and several months waiting on them to fix the issue. They make promises they can't keep and can't design an appropriate solar system to save their lives. I provided as much up to date data as possible for my usage and requests and when I explicitly requested a design review before construction I was all but told to eff off. The sales director (Morgan) told me my permits were close to expiring and we absolutely needed to start construction- but he couldn't tell me the date or give me a good explanation as to why their calculations were so wildly incorrect, and furthermore denied my review. DO NOT GO WITH VENTURE. They will screw you over at every opportunity and gaslight you to boot. I'm honestly shocked they still exist as a company because of the way they run their mouths and haven't delivered on a single promise they've made. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The CEO/owner will email you to "make things right" over a phone call- I've heard that 3-4 times over the last year and still haven't gotten a call. They will lie and say whatever they need to say to get your money. If they ever bother to call you and attempt to compensate you for your time- expect an insulting amount of cash. These people cost me SEVEN days of PTO- and offered a $250 gift card as compensation. That's $4.47/hr to compensate me for my time they wasted. Absolutely pathetic and insulting. If you are looking to get Solar Energy please don't make the mistakes I made. There are companies out there who I can't speak of. I can only speak on how my project overall went with Venture Solar. I spoke to multiple companies and was advised my house would be able to support 14 panels since I have trees in my area. The Salesman from Venture Solar talked me into 10 Panels. He said their panels are top notch. They would generate enough to cover the cost. I am a sucker because I believed this. He also talked me into using their roofer. They were more expensive, but I thought it would be one company handling everything. I told my sales rep I was a little shaky on the 10 panels because others offered more. My salesperson left the company because he said he didn't like the way the company treats people. I only found out because I was not getting any calls on what the next steps would be. Finally, I had an inspector come out from Venture Solar to inspect my roof. He drilled holes in ceiling and left the mess for me to clean up. He came here without a shop vac. When the day came and the roofers' put shingles over the existing shingles, I was told by them that is good enough. I paid the price for a new roof, and they cut corners by just adding shingles on a roof that was over 25 years old. While I was waiting to start using my solar energy in hopes of trying to save money to offset the cost of PSE&G. Venture Solar should have advised me that my house would not benefit from having this work done on my house. I called PSE&G to find out when they would install my new meter. They advised me the paperwork sent over by Venture solar was wrong and they were notified. When I called Venture they told me they had the paperwork on their desk and were sending it over now. I spent a lot of money to get a great system and all I got was me constantly having to follow up with calls to this company. I have told so many people at the company about 10 panels not enough to support electricity that would be worth it to me. Nobody would return my calls. I talked to the people from the beginning. Now they tell me we can add 4 more panels, but I would have to pay an up-front cost for it. It could not be spread out like the rest of the payments. So, trying to get more improvements on my house I got Leaf Fitters. They told me the back of my house had multiple layers of shingles as well as other issues. A Facia board was missing off 1 side. If you google parts of a roof, it clearly states facia is part of a roof. They said they are not responsible for that since all they did was add shingles. This is something I should have been told before the project started and this should have been identified by the person who inspected my roof. Once all this is done and you call the company you get treated like you are at a car dealership. I spoke to 1 person who escalated to a manager. This person escalates or says he is escalating to another manager. That person tells you they are escalating this to a VP. Bottom line is I did sign the paperwork and put myself in this situation. If you are happy with Venture then good for you. In my opinion, they sold me a product that I should not have been sold, they don't listen when you tell them all the issues you are having, I don't see how they can sell you a product that is not good enough to cover what you expect. I am paying $133.00 a month. I still pay for electricity. Buyers beware. Will it truly make a difference to go Solar. If you think it will please shop other companies. read more

It took only a few minutes of talking to this arrogant individual to know that this is not someone that I want to invest thousands of dollars with. Venture Solar has been dumped by SunPower. I have a Sunpower system that was installed by Venture. I found out the hard way that SunPower panels are OK but their Combiner Boxes are old technology that won't allow you to monitor each panels preformance and output. If you try to upgrade to an Enhanced Enphase Combiner Box, SunPower will void your system warranty. Make sure whichever company you go with that their system offers monitoring of each individual solar panel. I firmly advise buyers to steer clear of SunPower with their outdated system setups. read more

Even though the Federal government pays for the entire installment Venture still does a credit score check even though you will only pay $60.00 a month. And to be honest if you can't pay av$60.00 per month lease then you shouldn't own a home. read more

We began our solar experience just before Covid so had quite a delay with install as a result, but couldn't have been happier now. We are 100% solar and even make more than we use. Venture solar was responsive and on the money with their analysis. My only feedback is perhaps have your own roofer evaluate the quality of the roof prior to install as we luckily caught areas in need of repair prior which they didn't note. read more

The installation was done in one day without any problems and the panels work great. The electricity from the panes is already covering all our needs: fridge, washer, dryer, lights, stove, etc, including charging my electric car overnight (with only 13 panels installed). The online tracking is great and you can see every day how much electricity your panels are producing every day. You don't have to pay any money upfront and your bill gets reduced since the first month. You use CLEAN energy and don't contribute to finance the Ukraine war. I can't find a single negative aspect to this. read more

The crew was very good that installed our solar panels on our roof which was completed in one day. They were friendly and informative. The only reason Venture Solar doesn't get an excellent score is because after the solar panels were installed it was hard to get in contact with the salesman. We wanted to make sure that all the conditions in our contract were complied with before we wrote a review. We tired contacting others at Venture Solar about our contract but didn't get a call back; at first. Also, we had questions on the next process and what we needed to do for the next steps in order for our system to be activated. We thought that we wouldn't have to do so much calling and research for our solar system to get activated. We did call our electric company and the inspectors to find out what was needed next since Venture Solar didn't keep us updated after the panels were installed. Very disappointed. Had my panels installed June 3rd. Crew was great, very nice, very helpful. Next step was the inspection with the town and Venture electrician, which understandably take 2-3 weeks. Inspection was set for Thursday, June 25. Town inspector was here at the correct time, but no one from Venture. We waited 25 minutes before Venture called to say there was as "scheduling conflict", which seeing as how they made the appointment was confusing. Turns out the man from Venture forgot to schedule an electrician to show up for the inspection. Meanwhile the town inspector was sitting in my driveway wasting his time. He did tell me he would have failed the inspection due to the lettering on a warning sticker being too small. It's been almost a week since then, and almost a month since the panels were installed. I have yet to hear from Venture about a rescheduled inspection date and never got a response when I texted my contact about it. After an initial positive experience the last few weeks have been very disappointing. I have panels on my roof that are doing nothing but looking shiny and have radio silence from anyone at Venture. read more

After we decided to go solar, we checked out different companies and narrowed our selection down to two. Representatives from the two companies came and we were so favorably impressed with Alex Yackery's manner of explaining and his professional demeanor that we went with Sunpower. We are so glad that we did. Sunpower handled all the paperwork with dispatch. Once the approval came, the panels were ordered. After the panels arrived, then we set up a date for the installation. Everybody that we dealt with was courteous and knowledgeable. The work was done speedily and the system is giving us much satisfaction. read more

DO NOT make the mistake of calling this place. Spoke with Nathan (the "scheduler") then two days later, Josh (the salesman). Nathan was initially very persistent in offering to send people to my home for a "consultation". I told him I was not ready for that and after several "no's", he acceded to make a virtual appointment with me and Josh. They had all the information they needed to give me a proposal. I already spoke with other companies by then and they did not offer an in person consultation to send me one. During the Zoom meeting with Josh, I was expecting a quotation after he made his sales pitch for more than an hour. He then said he needed more time to explain the proposal. He was adamant on asking for more time which I politely declined because I had errands to run. I thought an hour was enough as I already did my previous research on solar. I told him to email me the proposal but he wouldn't let go. I politely hang up after telling him he wouldn't take "no" for an answer. I never heard back nor got a proposal from Venture. Actually, Nathan texted me today, January 3, to ask for an appointment but I told him it's not necessary unless I get a written offer. These guys are like pit bulls, they wouldn't let go! read more

Well we never got further than the home appointment stage. Called and scheduled an appointment for 9am on a weekday. No problem, we can stay home, go to work late and listen to the pitch. At 925, still no sign of anyone. Called them and they made some non apology about a glitch in the system and how there was miscommunication between their people. Account Management was terrible in communicating updates to me,when you need to reach the persons your working with, you get no answer because not one, but two representatives leaves the company and no manager from the team call to inform you of the changes. You keep getting sorry will do better but nothing changes until you get upset to cancel everything. This company needs better management and need to take customer service more serious. I was contacted by Venture Solar and offered to install solar panels. I had been looking to do this even before they contacted me. Had an with a salesperson appointment scheduled and after he came over, he explained everything I needed to know. I think he spent a good hour in my house. Then they sent another guy to inspect and measure my roof and electrical panel. Both were on time and courteous. After that I received a contract with all the parameters of my system, its design and of course the price. I personally like to shop around and I went to another company to get another quote. After some negotiation I decided to go with another company, but I felt it would've been just fine to go with Venture Solar. I was dealing with one the company's co-owners and he was very polite and always took his time to answer all of my questions even after learning that I was talking to another solar company. Unfortunately I cannot comment their actual work since I didn't hire them, but I had done a lot of research and must've spoken to at least half a dozen companies and Venture Solar was top of the line as far as customer service goes. Like I said, I decided to go with another company but I always felt comfortable going with Venture Solar as well. read more
