We enjoyed our visit. They had live music, proper security and great service. Drinks were really good. I had the jazzy berry drink. Food was ok. I had fish, shrimp and grits. It was too salty for my taste. I had their Thai chili wings as well. They were really good. I recommend those. It's worth a visit to try them out.

We visited this spot on a Saturday night around 9:45 PM, and we were pleasantly surprised by the old-school band playing live. The vibe was fantastic, and the crowd was definitely enjoying it. Yhe decor was dark amd moody. I LOVED IT! The staff was friendly and even offered us water, even though we didn't order drinks. Parking was easy, likely because we arrived towards the end of the night, and we didn't have to pay for street parking. Although we stayed only about 10-15 minutes since the band was wrapping up, we'd definitely return on another night to enjoy a younger band and try their food.

While visiting Tampa we had several spots in mind to try but, after the hurricane a lot of businesses were closed. We were recommended to try this black owned business from a neighboring business down the street. It was a weekend so it was not crowded at all. The staff were very friendly and attentive to us. The weather allowed for the garage door to be open for a nice warm breeze to come inside. There were a few guys smoking cigars so the open breeze was welcoming to me. All of the patronage were very friendly, nice and accommodating to us being out of town guest. There were black professionals sharing knowledge over food & drinks~ which is always a lovely site to see. We ordered wings I forgot the flavor, sweet potato fries mixed drink and a Caesar salad which was over saturated in salad dressing. The owner surprised us with a complimentary strawberry shortcake as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Overall, we will definitely revisit this place when back in the area.

Let me start off by saying this spot is a hidden gem. First of all the atmosphere is great. The vibe and it just gives you a feel for a night spot. The customer service is what did it. Everyone was nice we met the owner. Staff overall 5 star. The food another 5 star. Everything we taste was good. The chefs really know what they're doing back there. Entertainment, live music with the band and they also had TVs. I will absolutely be back again.

I came to the venue to check out, Royal Diaspora Coffee Company. Royal Diaspora Coffee Company is a black owned coffee shop where you can hang out w/ family + friends, grab something to eat , study or work. Proudly championing the Black community and showcasing Black brands and businesses. A welcoming atmosphere that celebrates culture and connection. Emmanuel outdid himself with the hospitality. I love what he's doing here and what he's going to do for the community. definitely one of my favorite spots in Tampa.

Totally blown away!…read more Tucked, downtown Tampa you enter through a secret bookcase door and you enter a very low key pirate bar! Lighting is dim, which is part of the concept. (Auto flash is needed for pics) The joint, is VERY CLEAN! The staff is awesome and very attentive! They understand process. The drinks are SOOO WELL MADE! I had a Zombie as my first drink, and it is very well presented and STRONG! I prefer,my first drink at an establishment to be strong cause then I can lighten it up later. Then I had a Rum Barrel, not as strong, but well presented and delicious! Note: Prices for drinks are worth every dime! They have a small food menu, but everything on the menu looked delicious, but I did not eat there. This speakeasy is attached to a British pub which I went for food after. (Review to come) All-in-all great spot to come and have a drink you are well treated, appreciated and just a fun experience! I will DEFINITELY come back here for a delicious drink and DEFINITELY will try something off the food menu. I'll just make sure next time I won't go there after a big breakfast lol! My party and I got the band for unlimited mimosas and buffet style food ... this food was sooo darn flavorful and filling ! The drinks were tasty as well(many options of mixed drinks outside of the mimosa) Staff was pleasant , sweet and professional which you don't see to much of lately in businesses. Cali love ! We will be back and tell everyone all about it ! Thank you for the amazing time !

Fair warning: this place has two personalities -- a restaurant side and a much louder dance-party side that share the same building. We opted for the restaurant side, which was surprisingly not busy despite the earliest reservation we could get being 7:30pm on a weeknight. The menu blends classic soul food (fried chicken, mac and cheese) with a strong New Orleans Creole influence -- gumbo, jambalaya, fried seafood, cornbread. Portions are enormous. We started with the deviled eggs ("D'Evils"), topped with fried chicken bites and lemon pepper dust -- excellent and surprisingly filling for just four halves. We also got the Nolia Clip, a vegan gumbo base loaded with fried shrimp, crabmeat, turkey sausage, and a full catfish filet -- essentially an entree-sized bowl on its own. For entrees, the fried chicken plate ("Let's Stay Together") was a standout -- moist chicken, crispy crust, great mac and cheese and collard greens, though the cornbread muffins were bland and watery-tasting. My jambalaya ("Burning Blues") turned out to be nearly identical in ingredients to the gumbo appetizer we'd already had, just a bit thicker and in a bigger portion -- worth knowing before you order both. We left with a full meal's worth of leftovers and zero room for dessert. Food quality was great across the board (minus the cornbread), and portions are a serious value. Service was the weak point -- slow to seat and slow table-side all night. Good pick if you're after soul food with Creole flair and don't mind a leisurely pace.

Located inside the Floridian Palace historic hotel in downtown Tampa. This hotel bar serves food!…read moreWe started with drinks and our server seemed to be running the whole place from bar to tables and back. At first it wasn't noticeable because there were only about 2 tables when we arrived but as the night progressed and the bar got busier, we had to wait for extended amounts of time for her to return to our table. We shared the truffle tots as an appetizer and they were delicious and perfect fried. I got the chicken Cesar wrap for my meal. Overall it was good, nothing special and honestly it was pretty bizarre to have croutons in a wrap. The fries were good but nothing beat those tots. We had a credit from The hotel to dine and our waitress once she learned this got immediately defensive and basically told us in many ways that we were lying and couldn't use the credit. After much back & forth with her she finally got in touch with management and changed her tune when she returned to our table to tell us she was mistaken and it was taken care of. Definitely not appropriate customer service at all on her part. We paid the reminder of our checks, tipped on the total minus our credit and couldn't get out of there fast enough.
