I really wanted to check out this place and it's vibe, for me the esthetics sold me. Decided to order the Golden Orchid, this one is a warm, inviting flurry Stavisky with orange honey vanilla a recommendation by our server. We also optioned the cocktail vase so we got a hearty 500ml pour. Another recommendation by our server was to try a dozen assorted deviled eggs from the deviled egg garden. Wow! From the classic which is a whipped yolk, paprika oil, crisp salami, chives and orange zest, then the avocado, lemon, which is the avocado, mousse, lemon zest and sea salt, next a skirt cheesecake version which has melted cheese, caramelized, onions, and cherry peppers, and followed by the buffalo, which is a pulled chicken, buffalo sauce, Gonzalo crumble and bacon, and lastly, the truffled Wagyu, which is truffle aïoli and crispy shallots. They were all delicious. Highly recommend if you enjoy deviled eggs !!! In addition I had to have a caffeine fix, so I choose the café con Leche /with honey on the side for sweetener. They don't have raw sugar or cane, just the boomer stuff like sweet & low, Equal, Splenda. Another must try is the butter candle with croissants. First time here, went on a Tuesday at 1030am. Tucked away inside a business complex, Campfired feels like a hidden resort getaway. We sat under one of the tents and the atmosphere was right up my alley; tropical and very chill. Breakfast was incredible. We started with fresh croissants and candle butter. Oh man the croissants were so light and fluffy and the melting butter from the candle was delish. I had the campfire breakfast and the scrambled eggs were epic. My wife had the traditional deviled eggs (holy cow they were so good) and the French toast. The French toast was melt in your mouth delicious. What an interesting concept! I found this place on Yelp while I was visiting Tampa for a couple days. My sister and I were looking for a quick brunch spot near our Airbnb and Campfired wasn't too far. The setup & decor looked really cool - like glamping indoors - so we decided to check it out. Upon arrival, you pull up to what looks like a corporate office building. Pretty random, but we love an adventure. We were giggling as we walked through the halls, passing by the offices of city officials and judges, thinking "how is there a brunch spot in here?" There was clear signage to guide you to the right place, and sure enough, we stumbled upon the little planty oasis that is Campfired. This is the definition of a hidden gem. The staff greeted us right away and allowed us to choose any table we wanted to sit at. It was a weekday morning so it wasn't too busy. Our server was very friendly and took our coffee order. We got 2 iced cafe con leches which were very tasty. For food, we just wanted to share a couple items so we got their classic deviled eggs topped with crispy salami, the butter candle served with two croissants for dipping, and a side of crispy hash browns. I will say that the service was kind of slow, but I only saw one server the whole time were were there, so she was doing her best. Once the food arrived, everything we had was very tasty. I visited for the first time last month with my women's group and was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance. Walking through the doors, you see wilderness mixed with a glamping theme! The service was fast and impeccable but it was hard to get customizations on some of the entrees. The deviled eggs were great and I would recommend. The steak came out incredibly rare and tough so I sent it back for the spicy Caesar salad. That was ok- The drinks were good (I had the espresso martini). Getting to Campfired feels like the beginning of a true crime documentary. You walk through an office building thinking, "There's absolutely no way brunch is down here..." and then, BAM, a hidden tropical oasis appears at the end of a super long hall. A group of us had lunch here on a Sunday for a friends birthday, walking up to the restaurant initially is a cool experience - the decor and setup is very unique. It's in a business plaza, in the middle of a business center inside. The way they've decorated it has done a good job of transporting you from a business center to what almost feels like an Arabian nights styled setting. My husband and I ordered the burgers - flavor was really good, and the fries are the thin cut crispy fries and I liked those as well. Also the deviled eggs were fantastic - there are so many different flavor options for the deviled eggs and I've never seen that before at a restaurant - as a deviled egg lover that was something I really liked and would try again. Our server was nice, friendly, and accommodating with the issues we had - she had a good attitude and that made things easier. We were a larger party, so I think there's some grace to be given there. The wait for food and drinks was lengthier than what I'd typically expect though, even for a larger party. Our friend group goes out to brunch and dinner together often, so we have a pretty good gauge as far as service for our larger parties, and I'd say this spot took more time for sure. Also our main entrees were brought out at very different times - spanning 15-20 mins between some of the plates being brought out, which is awkward because our group doesn't typically eat without the other having their food, but it was either eat or our food was gonna be cold. There were some issues with the steak & eggs - I didn't order it personally but my friends did and they sent both plates back because the steak didn't taste good. The manager did come speak to our table at the end to discuss the issues and help smooth things over - that was extremely appreciated and that's why I'm giving 4 stars despite running into a few issues - the way management handled our issues and also this restaurant is such a cool concept, there's so much potential and I'd love to see it thrive and visit again because it really is unlike anything I've seen before in Tampa. My cousin and I decided to check out Campfire for brunch, and overall we had a great experience! One thing I'd definitely recommend is making a reservation. When we arrived, there wasn't any seating available for two, and the wait was estimated to be about an hour and a half. Thankfully, after being patient and checking in periodically with the host, we were able to snag seats at the bar. Service was initially slow when we were sat but our waitress was attentive. We started with the Deviled Egg Garden, Avocado Lemon, Skirt Cheesesteak, and the Butter Candle. The deviled eggs were good--they're deviled eggs--but the steak added a nice little boost of flavor. The Butter Candle was such a fun and unique presentation, and I loved that it was served with warm, flaky croissants. You really can't go wrong with warm croissants and melted butter! For drinks, I ordered the Marigold cocktail, and we shared a Fresh Juice Mimosa Carafe. Both were refreshing and paired perfectly with brunch. For our entrées, I had the Steak & Eggs while my cousin ordered the Arroz con Pollo. My steak and eggs were cooked well and exactly what I was hoping for. We visited for a birthday celebration and had our own tent area, which made the experience feel special. The service was okay overall, but unfortunately our meals came out at different times. Some people had their food while others were still waiting, which was a little disappointing. The manager was fantastic, though. When we brought up a few issues with the food, she immediately stepped in to make things right and even sent over a round of shots for the birthday girl! Horrible experience. We had a reservation for 12:30pm and arrived right on time, only to be told there would still be a 30 mins wait. When I asked what the point of making a reservation was, they said they prioritize walk ins first, which makes absolutely no sense. Completely defeats the purpose of reserving a table. The waitress then said we could sit at the bar, but that it was full. When I went over, there were two open seats, and when I asked if we could sit there, she suddenly said there were people ahead of us. Not sure why she said the bar was first come first serve in the first place. Thankfully, I saw an area called Campfire Cafe that only serves sandwiches, so we ended up going there instead. Let's go camping...in an office building? I recently checked out Campfired Cafe and the vibes are definitely campy - in a good way. It's not your typical brunch spot - think greenery, picnic tables and a cool tent-inspired facade that makes you forget you're actually in an office building. The highlights: Avocado Lemon Deviled Eggs: 10/10. I would go back just for these! Silver Dollar Pancakes: Tiny, cute and tasty. My server warned me that they are tiny in advance, which I appreciated. You have the option of ordering five or 10. The Space: We sat in a cozy couch area which was great for lounging, thought a bit of a "hike" to the restaurant through the building. The "Nuance": I was most excited for the Croissant and Butter Candle. It's such a cool concept, with a wick sitting in a cast-iron skillet of butter, melting away for that perfect, dippable moment. But unfortunately, our croissants were underbaked in the middle, so we could only enjoy the outer edges. My friend's breakfast bagel was also a bit on the chewy side, so they might still be finding their rhythm with the bakery items. Also, while our server was amazing and so friendly, the experience with the hostess at the start was a bit of an unorganized mess, and it doesn't give the best first impression. What a unique space! From the outside, you're unsure what to expect. You walk down a long hallway and at the very end you come to an atrium area where Campfire'd is located. They did a cute job of trying to make this a uniquely themed space. I can see the vision. lol The service and the food are the real highlights though. Let's start with most striking question when you drive up... Am I in the right place? The parking lot is a huge office building with the restaurant sitting inside the center atrium of the building. We had a Sunday brunch reservation for 9 AM so we were the first people in the parking lot and thought that the restaurant didn't exist at first. As you walk down along corridor, you will see subtle signs that lead you to the center atrium where the hostess stand is. The hostess is were super friendly and sat us promptly. The atmosphere in this odd location is absolutely divine. It feels like luxury clamping as you enter and Oasis of Flora and Fana through a small mirrored hallway and led to the center of the restaurant with canvas tips set up, decoratively on the outskirts of the restaurant with beautiful outside decorative lighting the first thing I noticed, as we sat was the deco glassware for the water glasses, and the carafe of water. We started with a cappuccino and a café con Leche in the candle butter croissants! The creative ingenuity to put a wick inside the butter to perfectly melt your croissants was genius. For the entrées, we chose the campfire French toast and the sausage, egg and cheese croissant sandwich-I forgot the same of it! The eggs on the sandwich are called French eggs and they are to die for! Fluffy creamy and decadent. We also want everything with cream cheese. Next time would opt pass on the bagel. It was a bit chewy for our liking and perhaps boiled a bit too long- that is if they are making them fresh in house. The service was okay. Nothing wrong, but the server did stand or try to go above and beyond to create an experience to remember. She checked on us regularly with generic "is everything OK?" questions but did not offer dessert or ask if we wanted a second coffee. The cappuccino and cafe con Leche were absolutely delicious. Really I wish there were two ways to "star" places. The decor and atmosphere were 3/4 starts all day. Very creative the way they set things up. Definitely unique. But the food, even while creative, was 1 star. We got the butter candle which is a totally unique dish; I've never seen anything like that before. Which maybe I could forgive if they were wildly delicious. But they were not, they were bland. My burger was advertised as a wagyu smash burger. It was neither. Wasn't smashed, and certainly wasn't wagyu. Overcooked and hard, I struggled to choke it down. Served with store bought shoestring potatoes. My son's "aioli" on his, I'm about 90% sure was miracle whip. Aioli my ass. My wife only ate half her sandwich, and I'm pretty sure the rest will end up with the dog. The contrast between the creativeness of the surroundings/menu, and the quality of the food was striking. Too bad, I really wanted to like this place based on how it looked. For starters, Campfired needs better management, a person who knows how to talk professionally and interact with guests. Upon arrival, a trip to the ladies room displayed a bathroom in need of major attention which I advised the hostess. Such a beautiful ambiance but the vibe was destroyed by the long wait to be seated. We had a 11:30am reservation and seated at 1215p. We were told my a fizzled out manager that our reservation did not guarantee what time we would be seated, something I've never heard of. Finally after being seated, we had to ask our server for the standard butter/croissants that was part of the only designated menu for group booking. I accepted this upon making reservations but my breakfast sandwich choice was a disaster with over toasted bread, which I asked to be replaced and server charged me for replacement. We could only select from a designated menu for $35 but with add on surcharges and gratuities, suddenly I was presented a $51 check!! We could not order from the regular menu and basically, the group menu was just a sandwich, a mocktail and shared croissants, NO dessert! This is by far the most expensive breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten!! Another lady received a burnt Waygu burger and the logic given by server was thats the way they come. Flimsy excuses, nothing made sense. Being an observant person, the non-relaxed posture and lack of confidence in some staff members, is a reflection of poor management. As the person recommending this establishment, I was certainly disappointed as my brunch group was there celebrating 3 birthdays. I noticed a nearby table receiving a flower and inquired for our 3 birthday ladies but was told by server, "we're out of flowers". Nor any birthday desserts for the 3. Our brunch group meets monthly and this is by far the worst experience to date. If Campfired cannot accommodate a small group of 10 properly, then don't accept group booking. I'll start by saying that while the outside appearance starts out questionable, the inside does not disappoint. It's such a creative and beautiful setup that they've come up with. I will say that the chairs to the high table are very uncomfortable-- lol if you hips, you're not going to be comfy. And it was hard to push the chair in once seated. Now.. the service was very slow I will say. The waitress was pleasant, but the experience was really slow. It took roughly 40 minutes to get our food. Thankfully, we weren't in a rush and just enjoyed each others company while we waited, but there was quite a wait. I also attribute this to them still being fairly new and working through the kinks -- so I give them grace. I would recommend they put some bread or something on the table is the wait time is going to be a trend. ONLY because the food was actually good will I give them a second chance. While it did come out cold, I can see that the flavor was there. We got simple meals, but the eggs were well seasoned and the roasted lemonade was good. When I went they weren't serving alcohol but are waiting on the license to be able to do so. That probably would've helped as well being able to drink and sip something. Campfired is a unique place that needs to be seen to believed. As other reviews mention, the location is in the middle of a large office building. The exceptionally-long entrance hallway feels like a portal into a liminal space. The dining room is carved out of an atrium. It is cozy and nicely-decorated, but the whole thing feels a little uncanny. We found the service to be efficient, functional, and a little quiet. Sandwiches were delicious (we had a couple of burgers and a Cubano at our table). For the price, portion sizes are small, and the sandwiches are begging for a legitimate side item. Fries or some house-made chips would be brilliant, as scrounging up little matchstick potatoes wasn't my favorite. This place is really one of a kind, and the food has potential. We decided to try campfired at Florista today, in a little unexpected spot within a business park on MLK. On the floor of the hallway as we walked toward the restaurant- it read " the Hallway of Dreams", and this, indeed, turned out to be 100% accurate. Campfired has truly redefined hospitality. You walk in a customer, and leave as family. From the "tiny pancakes" to the "smoke" burger, to the truffle wagyu deviled eggs- we quickly realized that we had found a favorite brunch spot. The drinks- with house made syrups- were next level and BEYOND. The surroundings made us feel like we were a hundred miles away from home, work, and the busyness of life. We checked in and were told that though we had a reservation, we had to wait because people were just hanging out at our table. They told me 10 mins but it ended up being 25, not cool. However, we contented ourselves taking gorgeous photos and taking in the decor. Once we were seated we were blown away by the menu and the cocktails offered. Everything looked good and our table made us feel like we were glamping. The issues were the service. It was incredibly slow. Maybe they're still new and working out the kinks?? Was on the fence to try it because of the lack of info on it. But we did- and im glad we did. The deviled eggs are sooooo good! The drinks are good! The owner is really nice and easy on the eyes. lol. The hostess could use some work on training as this is your first impression and encounter of the restaurant. Our server Brandy was a little preoccupied with her tables but in the end she recovered the service process and she's sweet so you can overlook it. We will be back. So we really wanted to like this establishment. You see the great photos of the food and it makes you want to stop in. The creativity of the establishment makes it looks like an oasis lots of plants leading into the seating area. So for ambiance it's a yes, the service is also a yes. But food its a huge NO! We tried a bit of everything Roasted potatoes were undercooked, the sandwiches weren't nothing that stands out. Publix would probably do better. The mini pancakes our son enjoyed. The campfired breakfast was okay but no seasoning no flavor no nothing. Orange juice says freshly squeezed but we got Tropicana bottles (go figure) our waitress English wasn't clear so a lot of mix up on what we wanted compared to what we got. I will say the Japanese dip was very tasty but the idea of serving it with pretzels was a no no. The potential this place can be depends on management. The menu wants to be upscale but the cooks says otherwise. The people who love this place is because the hype of it but when you pay attention to the food it's nothing appealing. At this rate you can say another 2 years this establishment will be a thing of the past unless they get the right chemistry in that kitchen. read more
