They never have anything . It's a waste of time. No braiding hair options , limited edge controls, makeup .. nothing. If you need hair dye that's your best bet or maybe like scrunchies but actual hair things don't waste your time. read more

Don't go here. The people their mom and son are not nice. I was trying to return something $5 to be put toward my new purchase of over $30. They gave me a hard time trying to find purchase on my cc statements. They were printing receipts based on inventory of the item I was returning. They put me through the wringer. I got fed up and said you know I always come here and recognize me. They said no I don't. I said so over one item you won't give me a credit. They said your purchase was made in April. I said ok then just keep everything and walked out of the store. Horrible customer service. read more

Purchased item and due to open packaging (that I tried to return 10 mins later from purchase) was refused, then when I inquired about buying the correct product wouldn't offer any discount. Horrible service. They have a lot there, including many products for natural hair, kinky hair etc, however, the customer service is awful. Tried to argue with me about her return policy which was stated clearly on the receipt. Told me my hairspray was considered a "cosmetic" therefore can't accept my return, when clearly cosmetics refer to makeup.. wound up getting my store credit but I don't even want to go back! I also bought a maniquin head there in a pinch (charged me 79.99) went home and discovered there was no stand, which renders the head 100% useless. Went back and they argued with me that it doesn't come with one, meanwhile on the box it said 'mannequin head and stand!!' Very frustrating. They try to make you feel dumb. They have no idea about any products they sell. Don't expect any answers. read more

Love this place. I now live in Brooklyn but I often travel out to Hicksville to visit family. I was looking for a hair-care product, Verb Ghost Oil, that is hard to find in stores. Venus had it and it was the cheapest I've ever seen it! I also picked up the NYX lipstick Indie Flick that was popular over this Summer. The women who work here are very nice and helpful. They even gave great recommendations on where to shop locally for products they don't carry themselves. Cannot wait to stop by again. read more

Let me first say that I have been shopping at this store for about 3 years now however after the experience I had yesterday I will NEVER be going back! I work in the area and went in on my lunch break. I was browsing looking at products and then went to the back of the store to look at the synthetic hair for braiding. The store clerk came back to ask me if I needed any help to which I replied "no thanks, I'm just looking ". At first I thought she was just being helpful but she continued to stand there glaring at me. I glanced back at her and she said to me "what's behind your back?" Confused, I looked at her and said "excuse me?" And then I realized she was accusing me of stealing!!! Well it got ugly from there and when I proved to her I didn't have anything she had the nerve to tell me I probably put it back! The thing that infuriated me the most is that I've been a frequent customer and most times she rings up my items so I know for a FACT she recognizes who I am! What's even sadder is I feel like she was harassing me because I was the only black person in the store. I told her I could afford to pay for what I needed and I didn't need to steal from her. I told her she lost a good PAYING customer and I was going to tell everyone I know not to shop there anymore. I am extremely disappointed that I was racially profiled in a store I shopped in frequently. read more

I came here because it was near my job and wanted to look at the wigs. When I was looking at the wigs, an employee (could've been the owner idk) approached me and asked if I had removed one of the wigs from the display wig head, I said no, then she called an employee from the front and began speaking Korean, which I think is very rude. She seemed to insinuate that I took the wig off. Then the other lady found the wig. I gave two stars because they do have a large selection of products, but they are not friendly or knowledgeable and need an attitude adjustment. Poor customer service!!! read more
