I'm currently searching for a nail salon that I'd trust to do my nails for a special event. I have a friend who only goes here and her nails always look great. I was a bit worried by the lack of decent reviews, but I trusted my friend, so o went here on Saturday afternoon with another pal. We both had a great time and our nails look fabulous. I got a pedicure and then an ANC manicure on my natural nails. She got tips and an ANC manicure. I had Kim, she had Nick. Kim was super nice and friendly. She did a great job and I feel like I have princess nails right now! Everyone there was nice. It was clean and professional. The polish bottles at the front of the store looked well used... but other than that, it was great all around! Disclaimer, I've never had an ANC manicure before, so I'm not 100% able to compare it to something else. However, seemed pretty good to me! read more

Went in to the business to make an appointment for the bride and bridal party. They confirmed that they could get us in. The person at the front desk got the owner to confirm our appointment was good. When we went in at 4:30 they took 2 of us out of 6. The 2 were done and the rest of us were still waiting. I do not recommend going to this place unless you enjoy being scammed or disrespected. As a customer of this salon for over 2 years, I have experienced terrible service on several occasions. Most recently, I tried paying for a service using my AMEX card, they told me card was declined and that they had to try charging it again. Two days later, I checked my credit card account and they actually charged me twice for the same service. I called them and they did not apologize and said I could come in for a refund as if they knew what they had done. I went in to get a refund and the manager was extremely rude and did not apologize. Another incident: I tried using the ATM to take cash out for the service. The ATM said they could not dispense the cash. A few days later, I checked my account and the money was removed from my account although the ATM did not dispense the money. I called the store manager several times and he told me that he would have to put me in contact with the ATM owner who was also not very responsive. I had to dispute the charge with my debit card. Another instance: I got a pedicure and the nail tech soaked off my ANC powder for my manicure. Once I finished my pedicure, I had to wait 30-40 minutes for them to do my ANC manicure. On two occasions, one nail tech refused to do my nails and even stopped her coworker from doing my nails so they could service people who arrived well after me. I went in the middle of August to get a pedicure for my cousins wedding. The calluses on my feet are bad, so when the technician "scrubbed" my foot for about 7 seconds, I asked if that was it. She said callus remover was extra. She didn't even sand my feet AT ALL, which is literally one of the main purposes of a pedicure, I thought. I understand the whole foot callus soak/removal is another process that does cost extra. I have opted in for it before when it was offered at other salons. However; this day I was in a rush, and really just wanted the basics so I could go and pack for the wedding since it was the next day. I opted in to the callus remover because I really didn't have another option. Its like $10 extra. Please view my photos below and decide for yourself if this is adequate for you.... After PAYING EXTRA FOR THE CALLUS REMOVER. These photos are from THE DAY I GOT THE PEDICURE. I drove home in sandals, went inside, and took the photos. A complete waste of time and money. She didn't even clean up around the toenail beds or cuticles either. The place is beautiful & there and plenty of staff so u won't wait long. I have had the Gel Pedicure & also Ombré pink & white ANC on my finger nails . Everywhere I went people said my nails were so beautiful and different. Busy place so u may want to make an appt if u want a specific Nail Tech . I hardly ever get my nails done. My best friend convinced me that it would be a good idea and needless to say I'm content. The place was very busy so it's definitely a good idea to make an appointment ahead of time. We only waited for a few minutes with our appointment made. I also really appreciate the early 2010s throwbacks playing in the building as well. I cannot remember what my nail technician's name was but she did a wonderful job. Very quick and efficient. The person did NOT tell me he was going to give me gel, just put it on and charged me $30. I am very frustrated. And he did not even apologize he only tried to justify his mistake. If I could not give it a star I would. I selected a pedicure "mid grade" that offered things I have never had. They did none of that. When I questioned I was told oh he didn't know.... Well, he knew what to get to do the basic part of my type of service. When I got up to the desk he quoted me even more money. This place is really hit or miss. Went in for a pedicure and anc manicure today. Girl doing my pedicure was nice but did not do a very good job at all. Feet were left feeling rough and the polish needed at least another coat. The man that was doing my anc was fine until the end. He needed to put someone else in my chair so he moved me to where your nails dry. At that point he did not put cuticle oil on me and did not do any other cuticle treatment. I also had polish residue on my fingers. I ended up asking him to fix that which he barely did. He finally came over and put cuticle oil on me but never trimmed the rough edges. Just told me to wash my hands and sent me on my way. Really disappointing and I'm not sure I'll go back again. read more

Nail tech abilities range greatly. I've gotten amazing work done there before but just recently went and I'm mortified with how my nails came out. My friend started her nails after me and was done before me and hers look flawless. I sat in the chair for at least an hour and my nails are lumpy, and the color isn't even covering my whole nail. Not to mention I asked for round and she gave me square nails. Do not recommend. I've heard mixed reviews, but it was close and convenient, so I decided to give it a try. While they were quick to get me in and out, both my gel mani and pedi look like a toddler did it. Literally so bad. I got a #3 pedicure yesterday with the " parrifan wax". The entire pedicure was incredibly rushed, there were no massages given, nothing. Far from "relaxing" He made me hold up my leg when he was working on it.. a small fix usually other salons have a little stand. Additionally he used the same towel the entire process it was pretty bad. I've been to my fair share of salons.. just skip this all together. The nail polish was so horribly applied, my pedicure that usually lasts me a month will probably last a week. read more

So this was my first experience. I'm a travel nurse and stop in the area well I was referred to go get my nails and feet done was told to ask for one of 3 people to do my nails I wrote it done on sign in and proceeded to get my feet done which the man that did my feet I believe he only does feet but he did an amazing job very nice I informed him that I was told to have one of the 3 people Kevin , Anthony or mimi he said ok while doing my nails Mimi came up asked me my name had a conversation with two men that was doing pedicures who I later figured out was Kevin and Anthony and laughed and yelled they was all too busy once the person doing my feet finished he started asking hey can you do her nails to each one which all 3 responded back very rudely and laughed that they was busy which you know if that was truly that case that's ok but it's called customer service so no very unprofessional wouldn't recommend will never return left with wet painted toes waste of money !!! read more

Walked in on a Saturday... Regardless of if I walked in or not, I sat for over an hour waiting for them to start my ANC nails. Kept being told it would only be 5 more minutes several times, multiple people were in and out before I was even called to get my nails done, and the staff knew that I had been waiting since they kept telling me I would be next or just a few more minutes. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I am visiting from out of state and had SNS manicure done in solid white. I went to lake George for 2 weeks and while away my SNS white nails turned yellow!!! I went back to Venus salon to show them and was told I did something to turn my nails yellow!!! The owner Anthony told me I used spray tan, which I do not and then he insisted it was the lotion I use, which is Aveeno! He refused to fix the problem. Needless to say I will never return to the nail salon and if anyone is looking for white SNS nails I do not recommend Venus salon. Extremely poor customer service! So I want to love this place. It's always busy so you'd think that is a good sign? Well I've had good experiences and bad here. Yesterday I got my nails done by the man answering the phone and doing the schedule. I assumed he was probably very good at what he does but he was so rushed and distracted. On multiple occasions he used the sander to buff my nails (I was getting ANC) and multiple times he slipped and nicked my skin. It was painful and now looks terrible. Not only that but he was up out of his seat getting other people set up, stopping every other minute to answer the phone. Which they have a receptionist so I'm not sure why. Anyway, come the end my hands are full of dust from filing and he has the dust and grit all over his hands and he pumps lotion on me, no towel, rubs it in half heartedly and tells me I'm done? Are you kidding? My hands were all gritty, it was gross. Anyway he is right... sadly I am done with them. They need to do better. read more

It pains me to write a negative review about this place. I've been coming here consistently for over a year but today was really the last and very upsetting straw with this place. I made an appointment with Cindy. On my way there I realized I didn't have cash (they recently changed their policy requiring all tips be in cash). I called Cindy and informed her I'd be a little late (5 minutes ended up being about 6). Upon arrival, I was informed that Cindy wouldn't be able to do my nails. After this revelation I was initially offered someone else to do my nails but, the owner implied I should come back later. There are several issues with this exchange. In the past I've been a client that Cindy has been working on and instead of being a priority the late/person that requested her was intruding upon my appointment. I've also seen Cindy accommodate people much later than I was. And I've never complained. There have been times when she was not there for the appointment time that I made. I've also experienced having an appointment and they attempted to tell me that she wouldn't be able to accommodate me because she took someone else. It's disappointing that the professionalism does not match the caliber of work that is done at this place. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

They were screaming at us while we were trying to eat dinner because we asked them to please be quiet. Put an extremely sour taste in my mouth. I don't live here anymore, however, i was in visiting my parents and needed to get my nails done before going back to work tomorrow. I went to the place my mom gets hers done and let me tell you, rude rude rude. I walked in and started signing in as normal and i told them i needed a fill with gel and they all just kind of looked at each other like they didn't know what i needed done. Eventually someone said ok and i looked at colors. I was seated and helped, the lady who did my nails didn't really speak at all or act welcoming. Although she acted this way, my nails came out great! But halfway through she said, "we don't do this. We only do ANC or gel, no acrylics." Which is fine, they could have just said that to me and i would have gone elsewhere. I didn't need to sit and feel belittled by the fact that they don't do this service. How was i to know? Got gel nails applied here. was my 1st time getting them. nothing was explained to me (very unfriendly woman) it hurt under the UV light i mentioned it but she just shoved my hands back in. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL nail shop I've ever been to in my life! They tell you to schedule an appointment and when you do that and come in, 50 percent of the time they can't "find" your appointment. Or they straight up lie and say they called you back to tell you the person you made an appointment with is busy. No ONE, not even the shop owner takes responsibility. This has happened on MANY occassions. The shop is also racist towards black customers. They will take an unscheduled white woman right in before a black woman with an appointment and tell the black woman she has to wait. Not to mention, they don't properly disinfect the tools the use to do pedicures. I got nicked when they cut the skin around my toe and it got infected. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go into this shop.....esp if you're a black woman. They really don't want you there. They give you very poor customer service in hopes that you will not return. They are disgusting!....especially the owner who sits up front. He is extremely rude. read more

I'm giving this place 0 stars but I have to click one in order to post. I went there on my birthday in February, had an appointment with a specific person and didn't even end up with the person I requested. The color I picked on my birthday was a light purple and I got a nude... I was annoyed but it happens. I went back very often following that and made sure every time that the color was correct by asking because they just guess, there is no number system. I went in for prom and made sure to have an appointment and still waited a half an hour. I stopped making appointments because what's the point if you don't get the person you requested or be taken care of at that time? Today was the last time I will go there, I haven't had a worse experience at any other nail spa. My friend and I went there at 3:30 and waited two hours. We asked twice how much longer and once we were ignored and the second time he said, should have made an appointment. However, about 10 people were taken care of before us...without appointments. Really disappointed that I've spent so much money here, partly my fault but I want to make sure others know. I went to Sally's nail spa after and was taken care of right away!
