My wife made reservations here for our anniversary last weekend, and it was FANTASTIC! I mean, what is not to love about getting an hour long head and upper body massage? I wish I could get one of these every day!! I have never had one of these types of treatments before, but now that I have, I think it may be my new favorite kind of massage! The gal who greeted us up front upon entry was very kind and helpful, and made us feel at home and comfortable until our reservation was ready. We were ushered back and given instructions on how to get situated on the head spa bed, and did so. Then, close the eyes, and BOOM!!! It's an all-head, hour-long extravaganza of tingles, chills and good vibes! You know it's good when they tell you it's over, and it feels like it's only been 10 minutes, max! My only complaint, which is to myself, is that we didn't reserve another hour after our head spa so we could just take a nice, long nap! Jan 2025 Wish I'd known: (I did not book these treatments, maybe this made clearer if you are the one booking) ^don't wash your hair, they do a little camera before and after and results are a bit more dramatic if your hair is dirty to start ^tops are off and you have a terrycloth towel, wear it like a tube-top, I would suggest comfortable bottoms rather than jeans ^your hair will be damp after treatment, there appeared to be a vanity and hair dryer where I assume you could style your own hair but don't know how much time they allow you for that... ^the halo rinsing situation feels like those wire head massagers to me lol ^your head is on a harder plastic "pillow", obviously since there's lots of water but jsyk All-in-all I would personally prefer a massage or pedicure over this treatment, that being said I have no issues w scalp or hair and can't review results about that. My sisters-in-law very much enjoyed the experience. It seemed like my sister-in-law had a great connection w her provider, Sylvia. I did not have that same experience. The space was cute but small. I really wanted to enjoy this experience. When we arrived, the lady was very nice, but her coworker was not there yet and we had booked for two people. We waited 30 minutes for someone else to arrive so we could get our service. She had apologized and was kind about it, mentioned we'd get a discount, but at the end of our service we were charged full price. The head spa part itself was amazing! If you have a sensitive scalp, you may need to tell them to go light because they really scrub! read more

After landing in Kansas during winter, my hair felt like it was immediately in bad shape, as it was dried out and tangled. I've tried and loved a scalp massage before, so I decided to book Venuspa and try it out. The spa is super cute and you're greeted with a water bottle and candy. I was then taken back to the treatment room where my scalp was analyzed (dehydrated with some signs of irritation) and was given a treatment plan for the session. You get a scalp massage, a steam mask, a mini facial, and more during the 75 minute treatment. Several days later, my hair still looks and feels amazing. I came in yesterday for a 75min Botanical Deep Scalp Spa and was very impressed. I've struggled with a very dry and flaky scalp for years, so when I saw this place pop up online I knew I had to try it out. The treatment itself was very relaxing and my dry scalp feels cleaner and healthier than it ever has. I have very thick hair, so the blow dry at the end would have been better if they had at least parted my hair and/or used a brush while drying, because I was left with a very poofy head of hair. LOL The included mini facial was also very moisturizing and my skin feels great today. The only real downside to the experience, was the extremely uncomfortable bed that they had in the treatment room. About halfway through the treatment, my back started to hurt and by the end I could barely stand up. There definitely needs to be a thicker layer of padding on those beds, because I am still sore 24 hours later. If/when I return, I will be booking a shorter treatment and possibly adding a blanket or something underneath my lower back if the bed situation has not been resolved. read more

This was my first time trying out a Japanese scalp treatment. For months I have had trouble with my hair and I felt like I was at my wit's end. Richelle assured me that she would be able to bring life back into my hair and scalp. She was right! During my 75-minute treatment, Richelle gave me a scalp analysis, treatment, massage, and hair mask. She also blow-dried my hair. Rather than 75 minutes, I was there for 2 hours as Richelle took great care to ensure that my hair was clean and well hydrated. She was kind and gave me lots of advice about what to do with my hair! I went to Venu Spa for a scalp treatment, and it was a complete waste of time and money. I originally wanted the platinum treatment, but it wasn't available, so I settled for the one they had "the treat" . It was just oil, shampoo, and conditioner--no hand massage, no detox, and no hydrotherapy as promised. My scalp is still flaky, and my hair feels oily even after the treatment. They pushed more expensive options, but after this experience, I'm not willing to spend more. I left a tip out of courtesy, but this place just isn't worth it. Nope. Never again! I don't understand all the great reviews unless they had friends write them. It is small and does not look like pictures AT ALL. I had two services done and moved rooms in my bath wrap and all the people in the lobby could see me. That was very uncomfortable. I expected something nicer, given the area. The rooms are small, and wallpaper is peeling off the walls. I was there for 1 hour and 30 minutes and cut my time short because the beds are like lying on a board and I could barely get off the table. I couldn't relax because of the pain from lying on this table and it hurt several days later. Wish I could get my money back. The only positive is that the people there were nice, and I did get a little bit of a discount for having to cut my time short. read more

The detox scalp massage was so relaxing and made my hair feel so soft and clean afterwards. I have read that scalp massages stimulate blood flow and can help with hair growth. I am hoping if I start coming here 1-2x a month for scalp massages and along with my dpHue ACV Scalp Serum daily that I don't have to resort to hair growth pills that have extremely high levels of Biotin.
