Over $280 a night.... This is what you'll get. Very rude front desk lady from the start. Not personable, not welcoming, no conversation, and her tone needs some adjusting. Walked upstairs to our room and the handle is broken... with sharpie written on the door "lift up to open". Walked into a HOT room to see that the bathroom sink is part of the bedroom. Unloaded and laid on the bed and almost bounced off. Spring mattress that has to either be 12 years old or the cheapest mattress money can buy. The head of the mattress also sinks lower than the foot. So you'll have a headache in the morning from high blood pressure all night. The bathroom door drags the floor. So either the floor is swelling from moisture or they have 10 layers of flooring on top of each other and didn't trim the door. Either way, you have to grab the door with both hands and push it open and closed. My kids wouldn't be able to open it by themselves. You can see the previous occupants also had trouble, upon arrival we noticed there was a hole on the wall where they opened the door too hard and the knob hit the wall and made a hole. The shower tub looks like it's ceramic or porcelain like a normal tub. But when you get in and standing under the shower you'll feel soft spots as if you're about to fall through the floor. The air conditioner was on high cool all night and still left us sweating. The threshold to the bathroom is also coming apart. It appears that their last attempt to super glue it didn't do too well with the swelling floors. To add to it, we ordered food. After it arrived we called the front to ask for water bottles or see if they had a little snack bar to purchase from. No. Nothing. No water in the room upon arrival. Nothing at the front. So we went across the street to Frys and got water. Returned to find police surrounding the hotel building closest to the office. Yes. Same hotel, just a closer section to the street/office. Guns drawn, 2 at the top, 1 at the bottom. They have a sign at the front desk that says they are rated top hotel by Hotels.com. I'm not sure who got paid for that sign but I now know not to use Hotel.com for a basis of good quality reviews and feedback. Man.... we are Just ready to go to bed and wake up for this all to be over with. Woke up and was going to make coffee. Well.... I think I'll pass after looking inside the coffee maker water reservoir. With all things considered, I'll be glad to get home and wash this hotel off of me. I'd hate to see the sheets under a black light and mattress outside the sheets. read more

Floor was so dirty that my wife actually had to map the floor with towel (picture below is towel after map and hand washed twice to clean up, still dirt remained) They charged extra $30 for two children which was already rsvp with it. Dirty!!! Found hairs on the walls in the shower, went to the office they did nothing to rectify the situation, requested room service , nothing was touched no new towels or trash taken out. Asked the office about it, housekeeping wrote "light cleaning was done" , nope they lied, so keep do not disturb on the door, figured if housekeeping will lie they provided service it won't take much before something comes up missing. As a Veteran I was attending An American legion function in town, I will make sure for that price to stay at the Lux at least they serve breakfast. read more

Not for the faint of heart or 5-star/Michelin types, that's for sure. I have to admit, I'm sort of a snob when it comes to accommodations and I was beyond concerned when I saw the pics and price wasn't sure it was going to be a comfortable weekend .I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. We decided to have a girls weekend last minute in Sedona, most hotels were booked. My friend looked up this place, and it turned out to be a winner! Wonderful staff, comfortable room with mini kitchen and full bath. Perfectly located. I left my wallet there and without hesitation, the Property manager immediately mailed it and provided tracking number. Honesty and peace of mind is worth 5 stars. If you want a place right in the middle of town and its amenities, I highly recommend this place I'll for sure stay here again. read more

Conveniently located off highway 260 and 89A, there's McDonald right next door the inn within walking distance, CVS 2 stores down, other nearby stores including KFC, 24hr Walmart, Safeway, Taco Bell, Denny's, and Panda Express all within 3 minute drive. A very base, low level place to stay. Street noise, no amenities except for a one cup coffee maker that makes bad coffee, the sheets are tissue thin, the bathroom door squeaks and has a panel coming off, and worst of all was the ring of black mildew and dark stains in the toilet. I arrived to the hotel...or " motel " as it's referred to on google with my party of 3.After checking in I walked to the room and discovered it was a king size room when we ordered a double queen (no biggie I thought) I went back to the front desk and asked for a room with two beds and was PlEaSaNtly surprised to get nailed with a $102 up charge (this charge was charged without approval or previous acknowledgment and permission might I add. I was only informed that there might be a price difference not what that price was going to be. We assumed it would be less due to it no longer being a king).... Which put our grand total at 485 for two nights my rating is 1star lost for the price and another for the room based on the price. When we walked into the room it was also very hot which made our first night stay a little difficult for us to fall asleep on our untemperpedic spring loaded mattresses with our awesome throw pillwill say it's nice that there is wifi although that's pretty common and the location is nice for this small town. Great place! The owners were very inviting and helpful. They thought of everything in the updated and newly remodeled rooms. We were absolutely amazed at how they knew what guests may need, and they just provided it in the rooms. It was a quiet little alcove of town, yet close to everything. The way that they sat off the road alleviated all traffic noise. The one thing that struck us the most was how incredibly CLEAN the room was. The bathroom was spotless, the bedding was soft and clean. The Bed was comfortable and new. We typically do not Review hotels, and yet wanted to share this Gem. I would stay there way over staying in Sedona. Quieter, cleaner, less expensive. It is between Sedona and Jerome ( which everyone needs to experience). This was a very clean, modern hotel with lots of USB charging ports, a flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator all included. The bed was good and bathroom large. The only thing bad I can say is that it's hard to find from the street. They need a sign to show you where the driveway is. read more

What a pleasant surprise! Looks seriously old and dumpy on the outside (also under construction/renovation right now, which doesn't help), but it's VERY clean and nice on the inside. Rooms were obviously recently remodeled because they're like new. I heard no traffic noise even though it's right off 260, and never heard a peep from any of my neighbors or the parking lot. I've stayed in much more expensive hotels and resorts that weren't this quiet (or clean). Is it The Ritz? No. But you aren't going to be staying at The Ritz in Cottonwood anyway. Well ,we couldn't get a room at the Iron Horse Inn, so we were reduced to finding a quick alternative. Pickings were slim, many local lodgings had "no vacancy" signs due to the events happening nearby over the weekend. We crossed our fingers and went with Verde Valley Inn. Registration was a snap with the friendly manager, we got our room keys, opened the door, and......WHEW, what a relief! Nice, spacious and very clean room. No strange odors, no obviously missed cleaning spots, and no unpleasant surprises in the bathroom. A Comfy king bed, decent sized flat screen TV with good channel offerings from Directv (not HD, though), good size mini-fridge (about 30' tall, not a 18 inch cube), good water pressure in the shower head, a quiet parking lot, and it was suprisingly serene through the night despite being in the very convenient central part of "new" Cottonwood on a Saturday night. I'd stay here again without hesitation (if the Iron Horse is full, of course). Kids can walk 50 feet in one direction to McDonalds, and parent can walk 50 feet in the other direction to the ridiculously outstanding 5-star Farside Bistro. Enjoy! read more

Disappointed that upon check-in I requested the AARP discount and was told that my quoted rate included the discount. Upon getting online and double checking, I discovered that the AARP rate was 10% less that the rate I was charged. This seemed to me like less of an error and more an intentional effort to deny me the discount that I was entitled to. It's the reason I joined AARP - for the discount at Motel 6s. This is not a fancy place, folks, but it is clean, very reasonably priced, centrally located, and I would recommend to anyone. You do have a fridge and microwave, and our room was clean and the bed was comfy. A plus is walk next door to McDonalds (yuck, personally I can't stand) or Far Side Bistro (yum-amazing, delicious, fresh, locally owned - I recommend going to Far Side!) Thanks to Verde Valley Inn for a quiet, restful, much needed respite from the summer heat and the stress of moving our parents. We sincerely appreciate you accomodating us for our one-night stay. Were on a long road trip and have stayed in many hotel motels from san diego to here and this was the best by far..good prices and very comfortable rooms with a king size bed,refrigerator and microwave. Jim gives thee best customer service i think i have ever had!!!!! Man deserves a raise!! I can't imagine where you people have been staying, if this is a 4 star motel. The guy, Snoring in the next room woke me up, paper thin walls. A gap at the bottom of the door, all the way across to the outdoors. No. Cold water to the bathroom sink, and the lamp cord spliced together with wire nuts and electrical tape. And $145 a night isn't reasonable, I can stay in a Marriott for that. read more
