Stayed here this past weekend and our family did not have a pleasant stay. We booked through hotels.com / Expedia where the room was advertised as a suite (2 queen + sofa bed) that sleeps 5 but the hotel does not have a room like this. We recognize this does not fall on the hotel however what made our stay here unenjoyable was the hotel owner. The hotel owner here acknowledged that they know third party websites are not accurate and there was nothing they could do. He offered to discount us a second room however they only had a second room available for 1 night then we'd have to get a room someplace else. After discussing with the family 5, we decided we would make the 1 room work with 2 beds and a regular couch and let the staff know. 1 hour later after we unpacked and got all ready for dinner, the hotel owner called to let us know we actually could not have 5 people stay in the suite. The hotel owner tried to blame it on us and claimed we were told 5 people could not stay here. However, the front desk staff member was there upon our initial conversation with the hotel owner and she allowed us to still stay here and make the room work so he clearly did not mention this beforehand. This came off as very unprofessional to us and we were very unhappy as we checked in over 2 hours ago and made it clear we had 5 people. The hotel owner made us book a second room, which ended up not being discounted, and advised us to take it up with hotels.com for a refund or dispute as there was really nothing he could do. After talking to hotels.com for 45 minutes, hotels.com advised they contacted the Lantern Light Inn for a refund, and the hotel owner said no even though we were willing to check out and leave. This also means the owner is clearly able to communicate with hotels.com to let them know their listing of the room is incorrect, but has never done anything to change it. We specifically booked a room for 5 for Father's Day weekend and my mom's birthday so we could all stay together. This hotel owner clearly will prioritize profit over guest satisfaction or hospitality. Since we were not able to get a refund and move hotels, our party was forced to stay at different hotels and be broken apart for our celebration weekend. If you are looking for a place to stay in Sedona, this would not be my recommendation as I believe you will find better hospitality someplace else for your special trip. Besides the hospitality, the space is pretty however there are only 10 rooms in total so it is small. They only allow 1 car per room as part of their policy which was also not advertised. We were forced to use their overflow lot which belongs to the insurance company next door. They do provide complimentary snacks for the room however the drinks do cost money and they stock the mini fridge full of them so it is hard to put your own stuff in there. Their office hours are only from 9-12 and 3-7 otherwise nobody is there for assistance. Nobody was typically there until 9:30ish. This was a special occasion trip for us and instead of feeling cared for, the hotel would not do anything to rectify the situation forcing us to split up for our trip. We were very disappointed and would not stay here again. read more

The Lantern Light Inn was the perfect peaceful retreat during our time in Sedona. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay. Our room was located right next to the office, making everything feel convenient and easily accessible. The property itself was spotless and had such a calm, serene atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable, which made it easy to unwind after a full day of exploring Sedona. I also appreciated having both a fridge and microwave in the room -- such a simple touch, but so convenient for storing and reheating leftovers. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which is always a huge plus for me. One of the highlights of our stay was the beautiful garden area. During the day, we grabbed sandwiches from the deli next door and enjoyed lunch outside surrounded by the peaceful setting and the soothing sound of the waterfalls. It truly added to the charm of the property and made the stay feel extra special. If you're looking for a clean, quiet, and relaxing place to stay in Sedona with thoughtful amenities and wonderful hospitality, I would absolutely recommend Lantern Light Inn. read more

From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the calming energy of the space and the warmth of the staff. The views are breathtaking, the setting is peaceful, and the entire experience was nothing short of phenomenal. One of the highlights of our stay was how relaxed and present the staff were. There was no sense of rushing or pressure--just a constant encouragement to slow down, enjoy, and truly take our time. It felt like a place where you could exhale and just be. The owner, Dharmesh, was especially kind and personable--he took the time to introduce himself, share the story behind the space, and make sure we had everything we needed. He genuinely cares about every guest's experience, and you can feel it in the details and the energy of the house. I accidentally got some of my nail glue on the bathroom counter and was mortified--it hardened before I could clean it up. I apologized profusely, but they were so kind and understanding about it. That level of grace and hospitality isn't easy to find these days. Also, for anyone who's concerned after reading the website--yes, it used to say the internet connection was limited or spotty. That's no longer the case! The Wi-Fi was strong and fast the entire time, which was a huge plus since I also needed to work during my stay. My son and his wife had their suprise wedding here. It was suppose to be engagement party. They rented out place for the day, they allowed you discounts on the rooms for guests. We decided to stay for Friday and Saturday. All my exchanges with the staff were wonderful. They kept it a secret and only a few in their staff knew so nobody would ruin the surprise. The place looked amazing for the cocktail hour, wedding ceremony, to switching it to dinner to dance floor. The photographer never showed so they made phone calls and got us a photographer. The staff gave me recommendations for dinner for Friday night for 13 people. The event started at noon, music had to stop at 8:30 but then the staff had seating and fire pits set up so we all hung out till late in evening since many of us stayed there also. When we get pics I will share! I cannot say enough great things about this place. They made this wedding weekend magical for all! I would have no hesitation about booking this for future events! read more

I found someone else's socks under the bed, hair on bathroom shelves, and thick layers of dust and grime. I ended up cleaning the room myself--and over 24 hours later, the cleaning supplies and trash are still sitting outside my door. * Key codes and cards frequently failed, requiring repeated trips to staff just to get into the room. * Internet did not work for three days, despite multiple complaints, making it difficult to handle essential work and communications. * The property has workers around all day, adding to noise and disruption. * The owner frequently overshared personal details, including sharing that he is single, while suggesting I visit local bars. I did not ask for this information, and I am not interested. I don't drink, I'm a vegetarian, and I'm not interested in small-town bar scenes. People come to Sedona to heal, not to fend off recently divorced business owners who can't read the room. * The owner pretended that rates increase at 12pm and 3pm during Sedona's low season, where occupancy is around 30-45%. The theatrics were simultaneously laughable and insulting. * They tried to charge me more than the agreed-upon rate without my consent, and I had to catch it and get it adjusted. How many strikes can one hotel have? I can tell you: plenty. If I weren't recovering from surgery, I wouldn't have stayed longer than a night with this nonsense. I even offered my consulting services to help improve their operations because I can see the place has potential, but my offer was ignored. On the positive side, the property has a lovely garden, pleasing aesthetics, and several propane-powered fireplaces, which are its saving graces. These could make it a peaceful place to stay if the owners address the basics. Clean rooms, working internet, functional entry, and respect for guest boundaries are table stakes in hospitality. Until these are addressed, I cannot recommend this property. No breakfast, literally inedible "room service" food. They call this a romantic getaway and a place great for retreats, yet offer only a microwave, Keurig coffee and Coffee Mate. Let's call it what it is: a good place to develop diabetes. A warning to travelers: Sedona's natural wonder is incomparable, but unfortunately, many businesses here offer garbage wrapped in a bow with lipstick and three times the price. Do yourself a favor and look through my other reviews and guides to find a better place to stay. read more

Me and my husband stayed here since we were getting married in town. We absolutely loved it!! We stayed at the largest room, the Cathedral house, which is a 2 bed, 2 bath suite that is about 10 minutes off the main property. It was so clean, nice, and private. It had a hot tub on the patio overlooking the gorgeous mountains. Our bedroom had an amazing view of these mountains as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I really can't say enough good things about Lantern Light Inn. Thank you for making our wedding trip so unforgettable! read more

3.5 STARS The only time I feel like I'm not living inside of a freak'n Gymboree daycare center is when I'm not at home! I'd never been one to go in search of "Adult Only" properties, but since my life has been turned upside down the past year I have to get away from home to find peace. I had an inclination that families with kids could possibly be vacationing in the Sedona area so I made certain to seek out a property to stay at where I knew there wouldn't be a constant soundtrack of disturbance and distraction, enter Lantern Light Inn! Our stay was brief but at this point when I'm paying to stay away from home I'm praying for tranquility until my neighbors who lack self awareness and manners find some respect. Maybe I'll start sunbathing nude on my patio while smoking a j and watching porn, you know the sort of shi* I don't do out of respect. I'll say the only noise we encountered was that of our own decision - which speed to put the ceiling fan on after turning off the AC, and that was perfect. Check in was a breeze, parking hassle free, waters provided in the lobby and in our refrigerator which was perfect for filling up our water bottles for little hikes. I didn't love the set up of the room, bathroom and shower - you could totally tell this was an addition/remodel at the Inn. A shower being in the literal room just struck me as odd. I've stayed at properties in the states and abroad with various versions of exposed showers in the room (rock, glass etc.) all done in very cool design ways- this was not that! This was a shower with a shower curtain inside of the room. Luckily, it was just us friends staying here. If a man ever brought me here, I'd be down right mortified and a bit creeped out if we stayed in this room- the shower was that level of odd in my opinion. Keep this in mind if looking to book this Inn for a romantic getaway. You'll want to inquire on the room you'll be booked into. The other rooms may be normal rooms and fine but the room we were given was just very obviously not always a guest room, and one that was remodeled into one. I'm not sure I'd stay here in the future unless I further investigated other room options but it met our needs and I was appreciative to not have to endure constant noise from kids. You know when you're done raising kids, the last thing you want is to be disrupted 24/7 by them. If you're looking for an Adult Only stay this is probably a decent pick in the area. Tip for returning in the evening: look for the lit lantern out front, this helped us find the correct driveway in the dark. read more

Enjoyed our stay at the Lantern Inn. Our room was super clean and the staff were very friendly. My favorite aspect of the hotel was the common space/patio. The gas fire pits, plenty of seating options including swings, and gardens/plants made for a really nice space to relax. The hotel was full but it was very quite and nice throughout our stay. Only reason I don't give Lantern a 5 star was the limited hours the office is staffed, and that our room pretty small. I think they offered large suites but the standard queen room really only has room to stand next to our sit on the bed. That being said, I would stay here again. read more

I like a firm bed but it was like a board. Even though I knew it going in, it's still disappointing that they are not offering breakfast, citing covid. I had never stayed at a small hotel/B&B type place so I was a little skeptical and not sure what to expect. This place was excellent and totally exceeded my expectations. Anne is really nice and genuinely wants to make sure you have a fun time in Sedona. The place is really quiet even though it's not far from the main road. We're talking you hear birds chirp in the courtyard quiet. It doesn't even feel like a normal hotel room, more like staying (in a good way) in a really nice guest room at a friend's house. The room isn't huge but it is big enough to do the job and mine had a patio. They even bring you breakfast each morning based on your selection and hang it in a picnic basket outside your door. One thing to keep in mind is you have to let them know if you're checking in outside certain hours, which is different than a large hotel. Not a big deal, just make sure they know. This place is on the less tourist trap side of Sedona too so in my opinion you get better access to the best more local restaurants as well as the Red Rock Park, Airport Mesa, etc. without fighting the tourist traffic uptown. You can even walk to a few restaurants/bars. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Sedona. read more

10.18 Stayed at the Inn overnight after the 2nd leg of our anniversary trip to The Narrows was cancelled. Checked in just before 7pm, went out to dinner, came back late and turned in for the night. We were geared up for our first hike of the day bright and early the next day that we didn't really got to enjoy the space. What a sweet bed and breakfast. The host gives you a warm welcome upon checking in. They give you the rundown of the place and the area. Go over restaurants and any information you might have questions about. Our room was clean and nice. The bed was so comfortable and loved their pillows! The only downside to our room was that we could hear a little the room next to us. The way they deliver breakfast is one of the most cutest ways ever! They leave a basket outside your door. I wouldn't fully count it a breakfast more like a fruit and juice. Something nice and light to start your day. Overall will def come back to visit again! read more

We just returned home from our stay at Lantern Light Inn and omg....one word to sum it up- heaven! We stayed in the Mountain Room which is near the front of the property. Very private. We had our own fire pit and hanging egg chairs and it felt like our own little garden area. We enjoyed mornings and evenings out there! Great view from our room of the red rocks. We hiked right across the street, a quick 4 minute drive- Lower Chimney Trail/ Thunder Mountain. Great location as we love to go to Vino di Sedona every time we come to Sedona. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Shower was awesome! My hair has never been so soft either haha must have good water. We were offered wine upon checking in. I absolutely love this little Inn and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! read more

Honestly we were exceptionally disappointed with the Lantern Light Inn. While nicely furnished with pretty gardens, our room had been long neglected by the cleaning staff (ie the owners). When I called the owner at the front desk to ask her to have our room properly cleaned, she was curt and cold. I showed her all the grime and dust, the sticky spills in the fridge, the grungy coffee pot, etc. (see photos) her response was "I clean those lampshades every day." So I said, "Well we're happy to stay somewhere else." She did a quick touch up but left behind a filthy, sticky fridge and most of the furniture still covered with furry dust. As she left our room she said "We check these rooms twice a day." For over $200 a night, this is unacceptable. Please don't treat your guests like a problem. Own your mistakes, hire cleaning staff to help you, and run your inn like you're proud of it, instead of being too busy to be bothered. read more

We've had a lovely stay at the Lantern Light this last week of March. Frank and Daisy are exceptional hosts with Frank getting us acquainted with our room and select info about town and Daisy delivering our little breakfast basket promptly on time. Our room was clean with a giant 4-poster bed, nice linens, fireplace, comfy leather sofas, fridge with waters and a Kuerig coffee maker. The location on the west side of town worked for us with the Local Juicery directly across the street and a great bakery kitty-corner across. Seating areas surround the grounds making for a nice relaxed environment to enjoy Sedona's lovely evenings. All priced very appropriately for the area and time of year. The pictures are accurate and it's so peaceful the only issue I had During my stay here was the fact that I brought my 2 month old puppy with me because I cannot leave him alone and I was charged 50 dollars I was advised after I drove 2 hours up there from Mesa that it was a pet free hotel there is nothing on the website that states that nor on a 3rd party site customer service is great they were still respectful while asking for an additional charge id just ask that you guys update your site to reference the pet policy but thank you all so much for having us and I would book again stressful week and by far a well needed stay thank you all again read more

I really wanted to love this place but found it to be mediocre. The grounds are just lovely - quiet, excellent location for a few couples to just get away and enjoy each other's company. They do not have any food available due to "COVID." The Garden Room is super small but it is cozy. They really need to dust the room and fix the shower head as it's about to fall apart. My husband and I just left the lantern Inn after a one night stay. First let me say that the end is very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Our room was in the front of the building facing the highway. The road noise wasn't too bad because we had the fan and air conditioner on the whole time we were in the room. I think the grounds could use a little TLC as they were sterile and somewhat uninviting. If you are looking for something with a view this would not be where you would go.Also we arrived a bit early and we're unable to reach anyone by phone or in the office to drop our bags off. The sign is posted that staff does not return until three but as we all know often times people arrive a little bit early and like to drop their things off.
