We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bath unit and were honestly impressed with how spacious everything was. The living room area was large and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax, plus a dining table that seated six and a pullout couch--perfect for families or groups. The master bedroom felt like its own private retreat. It featured a king-size bed, a sunken tub, and a separate shower, and the entire space was incredibly roomy. The second bedroom had two full-size beds and a convenient connecting door to the second full bathroom, which made the layout really functional and easy for multiple guests. The full kitchen and open layout made the unit feel more like a home, and overall, the amount of space you get is a huge plus. In fact, it was so large that we realized we probably could've been just fine with a one-bedroom unit with two beds! The only downside is that the showers are a bit dated--they gave off more of a basic, motel-style feel compared to the rest of the unit, which was otherwise very nice. Overall, though, this place delivers on space, comfort, and functionality. If you're traveling with family or a group, this is a fantastic option and definitely worth the stay. read more

we stayed here for a week, the rooms are pretty dated and parking is sparse but the amenities are great and our room was clean. in the middle of our stay we woke up to our room phone ringing and waking us up at 7am, then 8am, and again at 9am. Probably a wake up call but for the wrong room? Pretty frustrating because we were trying to sleep in and kept getting woken up. We had the do not disturb sign on our door and we didn't have to check out for another 5 days. read more

The accommodations are amazing and the location is ideal for anyone wanting to enjoy Sedona. We are avid hikers and the staff graciously extended our checkout to 11 a.m. to allow us time to do a morning hike. The jetted tub and wooded patio view were among the highlights of the 1 bedroom deluxe unit. We were in unit 2022 and joked that our unit was "so last year." (We visited in 2023.) We used the 10% discount at two area restaurants: Rascal and Oak Creek Brewery We declined the sales presentation despite the $100 gift card offer due to our past negative experiences at other locations. Our group of 13 folks from all over the country and Canada stayed in 3 separate units for a week. We've stayed in other Wyndham properties before and this one was very similar. They all seem to have been built in the 90's. While mostly comfortable, they could do with some updating, especially the entertaining system. There were dvd players and no way to access Netflix or other streaming services on the tv unless you brought your own dongle. However, the units are comfortable, especially the bedding. With full size appliances in the kitchen, it was convenient to cook with the group. The pool and hot tub area were large and there was also a separate kid's pool but no one used it. The exercise area was nice, but do we still need a business area anymore? This particular location also had a fresh herb "garden," which comprised of several herbs planted in pots. Nice touch. We also had a decent view of some of the rocks from the balcony. If you decide to start your Airport loop hike from the compound, it'll add about an extra 3 miles. No worries about trying to find a parking space in the limited area. read more

Well, where to start... We stayed here through RCI. Unfortunately, RCI did not send through the reservation, so Wyndham had no clue who we were when we tried to check in. So we had to spend over an hour trying to rectify that situation. More of an RCI problem than Wyndham's, but we felt that the Wyndham front desk staff could have been a little kinder and more understanding about the fact that it wasn't our fault as guests that the reservation did not come through properly. Instead, they put the burden on *us* to try and fix the issue, which is strange since RCI and Wyndham are technically now a consolidated enterprise. So that was super annoying. Finally, they let us check into a unit, and it felt very old and dated for the amount of money we had spent. There were some frustrations. The bathroom was a bit grimy, the carpet was worn, our key cards were very temperamental, the dishwasher utensil basket was torn at the bottom so you couldn't put forks/knives/etc. in it...just little things like that. Not dealbreakers in and of themselves, but annoyances that quickly mounted in number. Service was also spotty. We were told housekeeping would come halfway through our stay to clean (since we were there 2 weeks). We were given a day for them to clean but we were on a Grand Canyon day trip that day so we got up SUPER early to tidy up and organize in preparation for housekeeping to come. A wasted effort. After our day trip, we got back to the room and guess what...housekeeping hadn't come. I went down and asked for fresh towels at the very least, and they said they would bring some the next morning. It was close to 10:30pm at this point so we all were in our pajamas relaxing when there was a loud knock at the door and they were delivering the towels. I appreciated it, but it would have been nicer if they had just come the next morning when they said they were going to, rather than when we were all in our PJs getting ready to sleep lol. Just little communication issues like that. Also a lot of hounding texts/calls for joining the timeshare sales pitches and "activities." Lots of timeshares do this, but this went on all week and seemed really excessive, especially considering we weren't in the mood since there had been so many screw-ups already. We loved Sedona, but we definitely won't be returning to this propery. read more

They did call us one night though about a noise complaint but we were working on our laptops, so they might've gotten the wrong room, but other than that, no issues. - The location is great! Close to many restaurants and stores and a good distance to different hiking trails. - The rooms were spacious; living room, kitchenette with microwave and stove, bathroom, bedroom, closets. Cons: - Sedona is a "dark community" meaning there aren't many street lights to avoid light pollution, however, this area is super dark at night. Some additional signage would greatly benefit guests. - The rooms overall need a refresher. Room furnishings are a little dated. The curtains, couch, carpet are old and dated. - The bathtub drain was clogged and the water wouldn't drain. I was bathing in ankle deep water. - The business center is tiiiiiiiny with one small table. - You could get better amenities at other places i.e. better working wifi, free breakfast, etc. read more

I am a huge fan of Wyndham in general have been staying with them over the year with friends, family, etc. This is one of my top 3 favorite locations overall. You check-in and then are handed off to the concierge desk and they have a ton of local area activities, far more than I was expecting for "off season." I ended up seeing the Grand Canyon, doing a Jeep Vortex Tour, hiking, sightseeing, helicopter tour, yoga, find dining, and a float spa during my short stay! It was fantastic! This location has pool, hot tub, gym, game room, onsite activities, dry sauna, and beautiful views. The resort staff are kind, attentive and very friendly. The kitchen and amenities were good, the only downers were that depending on where your room is it might be a trek to get to the front lobby or pool area and at night it isn't all that well lit along the pathway. (great for seeing a ton of stars though!) Also, the tub in the room was far more shallow than I was expecting... who doesn't like a bubble bath dip when they're on vacation!? The bed, bedding and pillows were perfect! Had a great night sleep every night during my stay. I had to keep the fan running in the unit otherwise I could quite clearly hear my neighbors in their unit. With the fan running though, I couldn't hear them any more. Also each unit is given chairs to sit out front.. and only the corner units are really set up for a decent seating area. The rooms in the middle the chairs are just along the path to get to the rooms and makes it hard to wheel your luggage around as there were not any elevators that I could find. Being tucked in off the main strip it was surprisingly quiet. Only noises were the other guests and of course kids in the pool, but nothing to out of control. Back in June 2022, I was on a solo road trip to AZ, UT, and NV. It's taking me 2 months to do this review, but that's okay... better late than never. Just want to give you some background... I have a wonderful vacation ownership (aka timeshare) since 2000. It's one of the best investments in my life. I love it and I wouldn't want to travel any other way. It allows me to stay at 90+ different resorts primarily in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. It's the BEST timeshare out there with the GREATEST trading power. As long as there is availability and I have the credits to use, I'm good to go. If I don't have the credits, then I have the option to pay cash for it which is great! This is my 1st review of a resort from my vacation ownership. If I go back to all of my other travels, we're looking at 70+ more resort stays LOL. I actually have a spreadsheet tracking all my stays... my goal is to visit all of them... got 20+ more to go. Let's get started... I drove 8+ hrs from So Cal to Sedona, AZ. When I first arrived at Club Wyndham Sedona, it was really dark. From what I hear, Sedona is known for their night sky stargazing activity, hence, shops close early and everyone heads in soon after. This didn't bother me, but I felt like I was the only person in the city driving around though LOL. I was greeted by the check-in staff. Got a chance to chat with the concierge... of course, their goal is to get you to attend a sales presentation which I love because I get to learn what's new. They don't know who they are dealing with LOL. They usually give an incentive gift either tickets to an activity or AMEX gift card. I accepted their offer... why not! When I'm not traveling, no one pays me $$$ to sit and listen to someone talk about something I love... I'll attend any day. I got a unit on the 2nd floor which was a little cumbersome because I had to lug all my stuff up the stairs, but hey, it's all good. The first thing I saw was bugs outside my unit door which wasn't pleasant, but there was nothing I can do. We're the ones invading their space... they've been on this earth longer than we have LOL. Got inside and quickly closed the door... a few went inside with me... so they had to go if you know what I mean LOL. The unit was a 1 bdrm + 1 bath + mini kitchen + washer/dryer... pretty good size and spacious. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay except for the buggies. I was here for 3 nights which was plenty. Just checked out Sedona and visited the Grand Canyon. I did the sales presentation after check-out. It ended up being a 15 mins sit down with some director and he knew I wasn't going to buy any more ownership so he sent me on my merry way... usually, they are 60+ mins long... thank you sir! I was on my way out heading to Moab, UT... I love travelling by myself... the beauty of it is that I can go at my own pace... don't have to get back at certain times because someone is waiting. Now if I'm travelling with someone who loves to travel the way I do, then I welcome their company any day. Universe, do your thing! =) For those solo travelers out there, all the power to YOU! For a Boutique-style Resort, this is a favorite! We went "off the grid" for our anniversary trip and didn't expect many activities on-site. Sedona is a perfect place for relaxing and doing just that, going "off the grid." The resort staff was very friendly, especially the welcome concierge! Their suggestions and front-desk prices on excursions are well-worth it! We liked Pink Jeep Tours. Every upper level room has a balcony and I suggest the deluxe suite where the outdoor space provides ample room for a table and chairs! The kitchen and amenities were great! The bathroom boasts of a garden tub, double vanity AND THEN another bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, and single vanity. There was space galore for the two of us. The views of Sedona are lovely from the property. The outdoor pool is a good size and the large hot tub was relaxing. We will be back! read more

The resort itself was very nice, spacious and clean. However, I've never had a worse experience with the room keys. They didn't work when they first gave them to us so we went back to the lobby to get them exchanged for new ones. We got them and went back to the room and they still didn't work. We had to go back to the lobby a total of SIX times before we finally got a key that worked. We were super frustrated and annoyed at that point. They need to fix their card machine or find a new system to open their doors because it was such a nuisance and inconvenience to keep getting keys that didn't work. Other than that, no complaints about the rooms or service. read more

Sales presentation was horrendous. We were strong armed upon arrival to go to an "update". Ok. Sure. Upon arrival we talked to a person who asked us why we bought resale. We told her it was pennies on the dollar and provided a good value. She went outside talked to a short cocky bald man who I think was Jim. He came in and said she had been called away by someone who requested her. He then arrogantly started berating aftermarket purchases and said he has two degrees and graduated with a 3.9 gpa and he's pretty smart. He's done the math and it makes sense. I said well I guess I'm dumb. He then said I didn't say that. Are you folks interested at all in purchasing. We said no. He then left and said you can leave when your time is up. What an embarrassing moment for us and him. If he's the best Wyndham has for Sedona that's sad. With his service I wouldn't let him bag groceries. Side note. Our room is "ok". There is mold in the shower. TV is small. Room smells musty. Location is pretty good. Hyatt is way better (which is why we usually stay there). read more

My sister and her husband invited us to stay at this timeshare while we were in Sedona. We had two connecting rooms which made it so much easier to spend time with each other. We had everything that we needed even a washer and dryer inside the room. The only thing that is difficult when you stay on the bottom floor is hearing the people up on the second floor walking. I am not a big fan of staying in hotels to begin with but I do admit I get a bit of pleasure coming back from a long day out and finding my room straightened up, my bed made and fresh towels on the rack. Well, if this is something that would also give you pleasure don't book here at Wyndham Sedona. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, their main business is selling timeshares. I thought I had booked a room at a hotel... you know a real hotel! I came back from a long day of vacationing and guess what - my bed was not made, my towels were still on the floor, and the place was still as messy as I left it in the morning! I called front desk to ask what happened to housekeeping services. The woman on the end of the line said they were a time share resort and that they don't offer daily housekeeping, as if that was plain to everyone else but me. Oh sh*t my bad. That explains it. I'll just launder the towels myself." What?! Nowhere on their webpage or my reservation confirmation did they say I had to do chores and pay to do it! Right from the start they tried to sell me on a timeshare, offering me deals if we would just sit through their 90 min. presentation - why the F were they telling me this? Why would I want to spend my precious vacation time sitting through a spiel that I am not interested in? We were invited to their wine tasting and chocolate mixer. What a flop. We were treated to little chunks of fudge and an assortment of cheap wines from the local Safeway supermarket. Their rooms are nice enough, kinda like a little apartment-not that I want to or needed to feel like I was in an apartment when I am on vacation. I wanted to be in a HOTEL and to be treated like I was in a HOTEL. Well, I can see if you have a bunch of punk kids tagging along on your vacation you may want to cook and clean after them. The views here are great (from some of the rooms), but the condition of even the refurbished rooms leaves a lot to be desired. Both living room lamps were broken--one too scary to use--the kitchen cabinet layout was so screwy it was impossible to open the oven far enough to get a pizza in. One bath vanity light was loose on the wall & the shower floor was so stained it was a bit gross. On a pleasant note, they did have some very nice entertainment activities in the evening WORST of all--absolutely the worst internet service we've ever had. We complained daily & we continually told "we're performing maintenance on the system & we'll call you when it's done". Guess what--they never called--& it never got better. When checking out, we were told by the front desk that it's always bad. How much would it cost for wyndam to invest in decent routers??? read more

Stayed at this resort one night while family was in town staying in Sedona. This is a beautiful property nestled under the Red Rocks of Sedona. We had a 2BR deluxe unit. Check in had the same challenges that you tend to see with time share properties. They aggressively tried to get me into a sales presentation and wouldn't take no for an answer until I got quite insistent. The unit itself was quite nice. Master bedroom had a king sized bed with a jacuzzi tub in the master bath. The living room, kitchen and dining area were roomy and comfortable. We were here such a short time we were unable to take advantage of all the amenities. Will be back next month and will review if I use them at that time. read more

We did not experience good customer service at this accomodation. When we initially got in our room and wanted to watch a movie, nothing worked. Unaware it had been unplugged - and unsure why. There was aluminum foil over the vent in the bathroom as per picture. Unsure why but the temperature control in the room was either warm or cold. We were asked to go to a presentation about being able to use our points more effectively and told we would get a voucher for 50% off and an adventure at a discounted price. We had to cancel the adventure as they did not want someone with a backinjury and I had just been rear ended. My husband wanted to play golf but was told we needed no voucher, then went to golf and they said we did. I called or spoke to different people a total of 7 times but no voucher arrived at the golf facility. The golf resort were nice enough to give us a discount "Friend of a member" which was similar to the Wyndham. When we went back in to ask what had happened about the voucher, essentially was told "oh, you don't need it, you got the discount." Well, if that is true why didn't the multitude of people that we spoke to, tell us that without going through so much stress with all the calls. At the presentation if you don't buy at $105,000 then the presenter's attitude changed even though he initially said he didn't care whether we bought or not. The whole experience was horrible and the presenter stated that Wyndham really wants high customer service for their owners, but that is not what we experienced. The girl who checked us in, was helpful and fixed our VCR. One of the female concierge's also returned our call and attempted to follow up. The room was tiny for a 1 bedroom, kitchen extremely tiny with few items in the cabinets. I would not recommend wyndham. I don't think it is worth going to the presentation as the expectation is that you will buy! Certainly not worth the stress of so many call's to get a discount on golf! read more

We woke up early to a flooded kitchen and living area. I called front desk to be explained only security was on shift and a fire sprinkler has ruptured with next door unit. I called back again to let the front desk we were checking out early due to this and one the children slipping and falling on the wet floor. I didn't a receive a call at all from the manager. The concierge called of course trying to get me to go to a timeshare meeting. The audacity after being neglected with the situation in the room. She transferred me to front desk who was beyond apathetic stating the manager had attempted to call but wasn't able to reach and had a possible wrong number. That's interesting . They go out of there way to get you what you need and despite it being a time share they do not pressure you to go to their time share pitches. Great customer service! We were a party of 9 and rented what we thought was a two bedroom condo through an AirBnB host rental. The service from the concierge office was great. We ended up with two side by side condos joined by a shared door. One condo was slightly bigger than the second. The accomodations were great. We were a party of 8, one kid, two teens, three adults and two seniors. We ALL enjoyed our stay very much and honestly we certainly felt like we were home. The kids enjoyed the pool. Make sure to call ahead to place your two hour pool reservation. We had full kitchens with everything you could need in utensils. Even baking utensils. Both condos had washer and dryer available with detergent for our use, they also offer brooms in case needed and closets in the main areas. The kitchen sinks also had dishwashing soap and new sponges aside from both having dishwashers. We called the front desk and asked for new towels and got them quickly. There is plenty of space for the family and some condos offer patios with a nice view. When we return to Sedona we will certainly look at renting this place again. They make you feel at home and with all the utensils they offer, we really felt like we were home. read more

Upon our arrival on 8/7/2022 we were greeted by everyone in the lobby. Super friendly stuff who gave us maps of near by trails and restaurants and also some wine to get our visit in Sedona started. The suite was super spacious and clean and we had extra of everything we needed. The only downside of our stay was that no one came around to pick up our trash. Definitely not a real reason to not wanna stay here again. So we'll be back hopefully soon! read more

Just checked in to the Wyndham in Sedona, what a disappointment.... be careful with what you book, pictures are deceiving. What you see is not what you will get so clarify it with them. This place ended up exceeding my expectations. Based on the photos on their website, the place looks very dated. I'm not sure if simply got a nicer unit or if the resort really needs to update its photos, but it was a very pleasant surprise to walk into a totally updated unit. We traveled to Sedona for my sister's bachelorette party. There were 5 of us total and the 2 bedroom condo was the perfect size for us. In fact, it was really spacious! We were in the 2200 building and even though we didn't have much of a view, the balcony was really nice to have for our morning coffees. We arrived at 2 a.m. after making the 2 hour drive from the PHX airport. Since I'm from Minneapolis, it was actually 4 a.m. in my time, so I was pretty worried about the late night check in process going terribly wrong. But it ended up being super easy... just make sure you call a few days before your arrival to let them know you'll be arriving late. They have a security guard available to give you your keys and tell you where your unit is. It went smoothly and quickly. Here were some of the highlights of the place: - Large, updated kitchen with pretty much all of the pots, pans, etc. that you need to cook a meal - 2 bathrooms (one with a large jacuzzi tub that we didn't end up using) - Washer & Dryer and soap to use - Comfy beds - 24 hour heated pool - Great location. It's not right by the main drag of downtown Sedona which was great because it's very tacky-touristy and we ended up wanting to stay away from that area altogether - Within walking distance to several restaurants, bars and coffee shops Negatives: - The only real negative is that this is a timeshare which means they'll try to convince you to attend a 90 minute session about timeshare ownership. We had to go pick up new keys the following morning after we arrived for our official check in and while my group waited in the car to go to breakfast, I was trapped into a spiel about attending a 90 minute timeshare presentation. When my sister came in and faked that we had reservations and needed to leave, the guy wasn't happy. Turns out you have to be 28 to purchase a timeshare, so I'm not even old enough in the first place to do it. Anyways, I understand that this is part of staying at a timeshare, but even after telling the man that we definitely wouldn't attending the presentation, it was hard to get away. Another reviewer mentioned paper thin walls... I never heard another soul, so we definitely didn't experience that. The Internet does kind of suck which wouldn't have mattered except I was traveling with grad students who needed to use it for homework. Stayed for two nights in June on an all girls trip. The gentleman at the front desk who checked us in was very nice and helpful. We were assigned a nicely updated two bedroom unit overlooking coffeepot rock, the only thing ruining the view was the unsightly and obnoxiously lit rear of a lumber yard, some privacy trees would definitely help. We took two great tours through Wyndham, a city tour and a Vortex tour and both guides were outstanding. The pool was great (salt water?) Had comfortable beds. One of the nicest Wyndhams I have had the opportunity to stay at. Sister attended a 90 min presentation, she appreciated the lack of excessive pressure. She received a decent gift certificate. Nice and okay place to stay. Has all the amenities with the kitchen and washer dryer combo. Clean and a little dated. Not exactly really busy either. Key points of this review: Did not attend any sales pitch. I would have better luck with a lottery ticket than getting a "key" to open up the treasure chest. The room was a gift since my relative said that this was a use it or loose it on the points. Interesting that there are a number of "for sale" signs in the complex. I'm not exactly a fan of time shares for that reason as well as the limitation of locations, like you can't be really that near to Grand Canyon. Nice to have our first experience here with a nicely appointed one bedroom on the first floor overlooking the parking lot in this arm of the complex. No view of the mountains and this place isn't exactly full. Being on he first floor has the benefit of hearing all the footsteps late at night and early morning from the folks above, the added bonus of hearing their whirlpool going and the toilets flushing. Use your own imagination of what you'd hear over the bedroom! The folks here are nice and despite what the boss lady said (hint: she's not a twenty something and told me all about signing up for the gifts, etc.). No need for the points or credit since my relative can't use what she has. There is no daily room service and that cost extra. I finally read through the materials we got the day before so keep those towels off the floor for now. Internet works well. Pool is a bit sketchy and perhaps the filter needs a little cleaning. So overall this is a nicely appointed space, clean and friendly staff. No time share presentation so no comments on that. But good luck on avoiding the presentation. I just avoided the lobby after check in and plan to check out at 9:59 am to escape. read more

This place is fantastic for families or people that like the convenience of a full kitchen. We had the 1 bedroom upgraded suite (compliments of my cousin who is a Wyndham timeshare owner). It has a full bedroom complete with king bed, jacuzzi bath and shower separate, full kitchen, living room with Queen pullout, and a nice big patio. This place was more tHan comfortable for our fam and an extra adult guest. We really enjoyed having the full kitchen and not having to eat out every meal. We had some unusually cool summer weather so we thoroughly enjoyed the patio. Great pool with no alcohol restrictions just no glass. Nice west Sedona location. Some downsides: it is a timeshare so they are going to try hard yo get you to attend a presentation. The hubs is a pretty good bullsh*t sniffer and handled them quite nicely and expeditiously while I took the child to the bathroom. We did see la cucaracha a few times in the condo but at least they were dead. read more

Great place to stay for a week! We enjoyed Sedona and we had the view of the mountains from our porch. I liked the "kid" rule or "quiet hours" - This was extremely helpful as the walls weren't the most soundproof, but everyone seemed to respect it. The tub was great! We had all we needed to just really eat there if you wanted to. The pool was great. Only regret... that we didn't use it more while we were there. Good place to stay! read more

I had a reservation confirmed at this location for last Friday 7/31/2020, I go to check in and am told that they are overbooked and I cannot stay there. They didn't even have the courtesy to give me a call or email me. I also got relocated to a motel... given the fact that this is a resort type hotel I was obviously very angry. The worst part, still no word back about a refund!! This was the first trip I've had alone with my husband since my daughter was born and for it to begin this way for a simple lack of communication is just ridiculous. read more

I stayed here for four nights with my fiance and her parents a couple of weeks ago while visiting Sedona. It was actually my second time staying here for a decent period of time. This time around they had just refurbished the rooms and they looked pretty decent. Having the two separate bedrooms each with their own bathroom is nice and then the kitchen, living room and outdoor patio just put a cherry on the top. The first time that we were here we had a room that overlooked some of the famous red rocks although this last time all that we had was the road. What is nice about the Extra Holidays is that they also have a nice pool, always have something going on every night and have board games that you can borrow. That last piece was especially important the last time that we were there as it rained all 4 days and so we ended up borrowing the board game Trouble from them. Yeah, when was the last time you played with the pop-a-matic bubble? For me it has been years but I loved it. The only bad thing that I can say about this place is that the refrigerator broke down the last night that we were there. This was fixed by moving my fiance's parents to another room the next day with a functioning refrigerator since they were staying for a longer period of time than us. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. It has a great location as well as good amenities and customer service which makes this the perfect place to stay in the Sedona area. read more
