The absolute worse. Even one star is too much to give. Had an appointment for my 2 dogs that had been there before for grooming. Dropped them off at 10:00am sharp. Told them I live far from here and am disabled so please tell me how long this will take so U can find a place and hang out. Oh. Max 2 hours she said. OK . Agreed. Did not hear till 1:00 PM! I called. I was shocked when she said " Ah...well...we have not done anything! Firs she says "They were growling"! What? Our dogs are the most friendly and had already been there before so that was a lie. Then she says. Well, the Armenian lady who does the grooming is no longer here! .....So?!! What do you guys do then, bake cookies? I told them that this was not acceptable. They could have called me 3 hour ago and let me know knowing my condition. Why wait 3 hrs? And by the way, they did not call me. I did to check on status. Their response " Sorry"!!!!!! Just like that. Have been to tens of grooming places all over US . Really enjoyed my experience at this groomer! Our previous groomer kept cancelling last minute or wouldn't show up so I knew I needed to find someone new. I called and the owner (I'm assuming it was the owner - I wish I caught her name) fit me in same day/same hour. She was so accommodating and wonderful! My dog came in for a bath, nail clip, and anal glands. He left looking and smelling amazing! They even have a cute area for the dogs to run around and play while they wait. This place is officially my dog's new pampering hole. For the longest time I was taking my dog to his vet for grooming, and I would dread the end result because they would make him look awful. I figured I'd give this new place a shot because it was very close to where I live and I was so pleased with their work! They really work with your dog's features and make sure that your dog looks its best. I know that sounds funny considering we're talking about a dog, but haircuts can definitely make or break your dog. Their prices are reasonable, my only complaint would be that they put your dog in a play pen with all the other dogs. Some dogs are more social than others though, so it's not always a good idea. read more

I have taken him to other places and he doesn't like to go in after a couple of visits. This place, he is always comfortable going in. He is a bit of a tough dog to groom, but they never complain and always do an excellent job. I also like that they have the little area where the dogs can walk around after they have been groomed. This review is a little overdue (service was in August) but having just moved to the area a few months ago, hubby and I needed to find a new groomer for our three fur babies; Joie (12yr old Springer Spaniel), Sadie (13yr old Corgi) and Dawson (16yr old Golden Retriever). We wanted to find good place that was close to home so, of course, we went straight to yelp to find a place. Based on most of the reviews, we decided to give Verdugo Pet Cabin a try and we're so glad we did! They were very professional and accommodating on the phone by getting us in relatively soon and told us exactly how to find them (since we were new to the area). The directions were perfect and the facility was very clean and nice looking. LOVED the little doggie play area off to the side! What a great place for the doggies to hang out until their mommies and daddies pick them up. The guy who helped us was very professional and took notes on what we wanted. We wanted a Springer cut for Joie and regular cuts for Sadie and Dawson and they all needed their nails and ears cut and cleaned. Our last groomer would also drain their anal glands. When we picked them up later that day, they all looked so nice and clean and smelled good too. They looked so pretty!!! Of course, they were happy to see us but they all looked fine playing over in the little doggie play area. The pricing was reasonable and right in line with what we're used to paying for grooming the fur babies. They even gave us a bunch of canvas shopping bags (which I love to use for grocery shopping). My multi-Pooh puppy they will charge $50 for a full grooming today I went for just a wash and they said they are going to charge me $40 but instead charge me $45. It's not about the money but more about the principal. One every time I take my puppy there she ends up with an ear infection to how are you going to charge me $45 to wash my puppy went to get full grooming is $50 for her. Also they don't actually check for new pets that come in have their rabies or any of their vaccination so God knows if your dog has caught some thing from them. If you care for your pets health then you would never take your dog here. Besides the only thing they do here is talk shit, are very rude and commit fraud. I stand by my story and since this review I have heard from other friends that they were not happy with the same women of which I spoke. The owner herself was fine, but the women with the short blonde hair was another story. You are only as good as your worst employee. She was not friendly, she was rude and cruel to my dog. That is all that I need to to ever go back there as long as that women is employed there. You may be loyal and you may not have had a bad experience yet, but put yourself in my shoes. How would you have responded if this happened to your pet? Think about it!! I truly hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else's pet!!!!! I've been taking my dog here for almost three years now and I think they do a good job and they are reasonably priced. When she was a puppy, I took my dog to a bunch of different places in the Montrose/Glendale area and this was the one I liked best. If your dog gets there early they can play in the fenced-off area with some other dogs, and an added bonus is that it's very cute to watch! The people who run it are very relaxed and it is a nice homey atmosphere. My dog is a little high-strung but even she manages just fine and I think the fact that it is very low-key really helps her to not be as nervous. I will continue to take my dog here even if I move because I trust them with her. read more

I had been taking my dog to the Verdugo pet cabin for at least five years. They had always been great with her. But this last time she had four major cuts on her body and ear. Her ear took about 3 weeks to heal. I have yet to contact them about the issues but next time, IF I take her back (which will be never) i will bring up the issues and check her afterwords for any cuts. My baby girl has been coming to get her mani/pedi, hair cuts, and over night boarding with Diana for about 6 years. Diana and Richard are amazing with her and I have never had a problem. I have taken my girl to other groomers only because I had to move out of state for school, but I never find the perfect groomer that looks after my baby girl like Diana and Richard. I have to say I agree with the only reviewers about the "infamous short butch hair cut lady" she is HORRIBLE! Couple years back, Diana has just bathed my baby and was in a pinch, and gave the "butch hair cut blond lady" to cut my baby's nails. This was the time I came earlier to pick her up because I didn't have work that day. Well, to put it frankly she was a mean b*tch! My poor girl was screaming her lungs out for this crazy lady to stop. Since then, I spoke with Diana and Richard and asked that she never touch my dog for any service. And to this day she hasn't. As far as the grooming services go they cater to whatever you like and even offer great advice and tips for new doggy parents ( as I was 6 years ago, they helped out a lot with how to take care of my baby). ie: they do have kennels they put doggies in to dry, but if you prefer your baby not to be put in there, just ask and they won't. She always knows how to cut my baby girl's hair and always puts in cute bows and delish doggie perfume. :) For the overnight boarding, I've used this service about 4-5 times. My baby comes with special needs and Diana and Richard are always there to make sure she is satisfied and happy. They sent videos and pictures daily when she is there (doggie mommy separation anxiety issues, I know) . My baby is always happy when I pick her and she never wants to leave because she loves it so much. Again, if you dont want your baby outside, just tell them. If you have a special request, they will make sure to meet it. For example, my dog likes to cuddle in beds when she sleeps and hates sleeping on the floor. Well, she always got cuddled when she slept over. The house they sleep at its their own house and its pretty lovely. Kuddos to you for reading this entire review, but I only thought I would tell you guys the truth. The other review don't give this place justice. All because of the "short hair bleach blonde butch lady" Diana and Richard's business shouldn't be tainted. They obviously are trying to slander or exaggerate their experience because they could not get what they want and were probably rude themselves. I have been going here for 2 years and they have always been extremely friendly and cooperative. They are always willing to go out of the way to help u by picking up and/or dropping off your dog. The grooming is excellent and I have never had an issue when describing what I want my dog to look like; they always seem to nail it right on! When you enter the place you will notice that there are dogs around playing like u would at any dog day care and not dogs locked in cages like some kind of cruelty. I highly recommend this place for dog lovers and will say check it out for urself go by the majority of reviews not the few that may have just been upset people :) read more

WOW....... I am so committed to this groomer and shop. Let me tell you, I have been bringing my "babies" to her for years. I have followed her from other locations because of her love and wonderful care of my two boys. I currently live in Valencia (approx. 30 miles away) and still take the trip to her shop for my two yorkies grooming needs. They love her and that means the world to me. I do not allow anyone to watch them except my mom when I go outta town. I'm a bit over protective and I never fear leaving them at Verdugo Pet Cabin. The grooming style is suppurb. Never have I been unhappy with a haircut. My guys get stopped all the time during their walks because of how darling they look. I recommend this place to any and all pet owners/animal parents. I have brought my dog here a couple times but these last 2 times were my last! Overall they don't do a very nice job cutting and styling my cocker spaniel. When i specifically asked them to not touch the head hair, they did it anyway and left the sides of her body uncut. With my other dog, yorkie mix, they told us to come in at 330 and when we went they told us that they couldn't do him in time and we had to leave. I was very disappointed with their attitude and how they wasted our time. I have found a new groomer and will not be coming back. Took my yellow lab and terrier mix to this place for years. Obviously I thought Diana (owner) did a great job over and over :) they just went for baths, not grooming, but whenever I picked them up they were always happy puppers which makes for a happy owner. First time going there, and it's very close to my house. My mother-in-law takes her dog there with no problem when they are in town. We got a resuce and saw with this weather changing, she was shedding alot (I mean white tuffs of hair in piles) and took her to the vet twice. She's all clear for mites and such. She has dandruff and getting rid of her undercoat loosened quite a bit fluff. I made an appt, just in case. Since my work schedule changed, I went when they opened instead. And it wasn't a problem. I told them about some patches of hair she is missing (was spayed 2 weeks prior) and she needed like an oatmeal bathe. Not a problem. They were friendly, listened to me and handled my dog very well, she is still skittish and wary of strangers. Picked her up and wow, nice clean dog, was worth it. Barely scratching many many days later and they trimmed her nails and clipped some hair (butt area), not alot which was fine with me. Will bring her back there for sure. read more

I love Diana, my dog loves Diana, and, if anything happens to me & my husband, our dog will go to Diana! She is the only person who has ever groomed my dog, she is relaxed, easygoing, and gentle and I think the dogs pick up on this. I found her after moving to the area, and Tommy went to daycare there daily for years, until I moved. Now he goes whenever I can drive him over. She does a great job grooming, he has never been cut or scraped, he runs to go inside! And as for the other groomer w/ the short blonde hair- she is a trip!
