Supporting local businesses is important to us, and Button Nose has continued to be an excellent choice for our family. ******** I have been bringing my dog here for several years, and my mother-in-law as well as many friends have entrusted their pets to this location for even longer. Throughout that time, my experiences with Judy have consistently been wonderful. She has always been incredibly accommodating, helpful, and genuinely kind when assisting with scheduling my dog's appointments. I'm not sure where she is currently, but the past few weeks have been unexpectedly challenging. After accepting the earliest available appointment--which was two weeks out--I asked to be notified if any cancellations became available. The person assisting me seemed uninterested in honoring that request, despite the fact that Judy has always taken the initiative to reach out and fit us in whenever possible. On the day of the appointment, an unforeseen situation arose at my daughter's school. I contacted the shop in hopes they might be able to work with me, even slightly. I offered to arrive a bit earlier or, if necessary, twenty minutes later. I was told they were fully booked and unable to accommodate any adjustment. Every reasonable option I proposed was met with resistance. I am uncertain who is currently overseeing scheduling, but the level of customer service does not reflect the care and professionalism Judy consistently provided. I sincerely hope that Judy is only away temporarily. If not, I may need to seek a mobile groomer who can offer the same level of attentiveness and customer care that she always delivered.

I brought my dog in for her annual check up and she had some crusting around her lip so I asked the vet tech to have the doctor take a look. When Dr. Youn came out, he casually mentioned that he had shaved her entire chin to clean the area. I did not consent to anything beyond a basic look. Instead, Dr. Youn decided on his own to shave off my dog's entire chin with ZERO communication and ZERO explanation beforehand. I was never asked for permission and I wasn't informed this would happen before it was done. I only found out after the fact, when he strolled in like it was no big deal. No heads up. No "can I do this." Just done. That is not how veterinary care is supposed to work. Vets are supposed to inform and get consent from owners before altering their pet in any way, this is basic professional practice, not an inconvenience to skip because it seemed minor to him.

We brought her in for routine vaccinations, and instead of administering the shots with us present, they dragged her into a separate room. Within moments, we could hear her screaming, crying, and yelping in absolute panic. The sounds coming from that room were horrifying. My partner and I were sitting there in shock, genuinely terrified about what was happening to our dog. My partner was able to see through a window that multiple staff members were physically restraining her. She is a small dog, and I still cannot understand why the measure they took was needing several people forcibly holding her down or why the procedure continued while she was in such extreme distress. This wasn't a brief reaction--it went on for several minutes while she screamed. We have had dogs our entire lives. This was not normal. We have taken her to other veterinarians for vaccinations before and never once experienced anything remotely close to this. She has always done fine with shots. We have never heard her make sounds like that before. It was genuinely traumatic to witness, and I can only imagine how traumatic it was for her to experience. What made it even worse was the complete lack of concern afterward. There was no meaningful acknowledgment of how distressed she had been, no explanation that made the experience feel justified, and no indication that anyone cared about the emotional well-being of our pet. To add insult to injury, this clinic is incredibly expensive. For the prices they charge, I expected compassionate care, attentive staff, and a veterinarian who genuinely cared about the animals being treated. Instead, we left feeling like our dog was treated as a problem to be restrained rather than a living creature deserving patience and care. This experience completely destroyed our trust in this clinic. We will never bring our dog back, and I would strongly encourage other pet owners to think carefully before entrusting their animals to this practice.

From the moment we dropped Caia off, it was clear that she truly cares for the dogs she watches and treats them like family. One thing we especially appreciated was receiving photo and video updates every single day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was also so fun to see that Caia and Priscilla's dog, Karma, became fast friends--I think Caia found her new best buddy! Caia came home happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. She made our vacation even better knowing our dog was living his best life. He made some dog friends, she treated him like how we treat him at home. They walked, fed and played with him from morning till bedtime. Every day these pictures and videos she sent us were the talk of our dinners. How our dog Enzo looked happy and very comfortable. Pawhamas is our new go to when we want to go away for the weekend or longer. Very affordable and a great peace of mind, when you're away from your pet.
