I wanted to share my recent wonderful experience with my recent service visit with Infinity Solar…read more I purchased my system in 2024 (detailed review also done); during this time, my solar generation has been absolutely wonderful, and sized perfectly by Kay. My electric bill is essentially free over all of 2025 and this year. Some months have a $10 dollar bill, other months negative depending on how sunny each day is. I have had zero issues whatsoever and system works like clockwork. The installation over my tile roof, done through Terrazas roofing, partnered with Solar has also been top notch with zero issues with multiple major storms last year. I would say i was 110% satisfied with my decision to go solar and with Infinity solar. Fast forward to 2026. A series of recent power outages resulted in no power in my home. My initial thinking was that my system should have generated power with a fully charged battery during this outage. After calling Infinity, it was relayed that my system per contract was only set up for load shifting by design, lowering cost which I had decided on. After discussing 2 options to allow for backup power generation, i decided to proceed with the upgrade. Throughout the process, the entire team supported me exceptionally, starting with Sara who stepped in to help speak to me when the service department was not available at the time. As i did'nt understand my contract fully,, i reached out to Kay in sales, whom i did not speak to in 2 years, who really went above and beyond to explain to me in full detail how my system was set up, and options i had to upgrade. Kay treated me like family. I was so appreciative of her kind approach. She helped coordinate a technical call with Joel to fully answer all my technical questions. Once i decided i was comfortable with to proceed with the upgrade, the service team took over, with Vanessa and Brianna helping me schedule my service. Vanessa and Brianna work tremendously well together; super friendly, pleasant, professional and helpful. I requested looking into a couple options which Vanessa followed up on and accommodated without hesitation. A straight forward and exact quote was provided on Thursday. Their service and help was fantastic and greatly appreciated. Upon approving my quote on Thursday, my service was completed on the following Tuesday, much faster than I expected. Upgrade was performed by Ivan, electrician specialist. Ivan also initially setup my system in 2024. His expertise is perhaps, in my view, the finest in the industry. I felt very fortunate and appreciative knowing i hd my system in the best hands. He spent about 3 hours working on my system, explaining all the steps. Work performed was tremendous. Ivan patiently answering all my questions on some of the system parameters forgotten over the past 2 years. System was up and running and verified to work fully with a simulated power outage performed through the fuse box, and through the app. I was thrilled to now have backup power during outages. Billing and final payment was as quoted and super easy. In closing, the real mark of any business is how you are treated after the job is complete. My belief is that Infinity solar lives up to their reputation of being an exceptional 5 star company providing high expertise solar services through all phases of a project; sales, installation, commission, operational life, and post installation services. In a business of fraught with fly by night companies, Infinity Solar is a true gem. Solar done right with integrity, highest expertise, and exceptional, prompt service when called on. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

Once again, no one showed up on the date. Taking full payment in advance, damaging roof, then repeatedly failing to show up and being uncommunicative is not acceptable. The issue turned out to be a simple fix, and he didn't charge for the trip out, which we really appreciated. He was also very patient in helping talk through my concerns before the visit and explaining everything in a clear, helpful way, which made learning a new system much less stressful. I went solar with Barnes Solar, Inc. in 2021. My contract promised a 25-year service warranty and…read more25-year workmanship warranty, covering both parts and labor. The contract clearly says service calls and repairs will be handled at no charge. After Barnes was sold, bought by "LA Solar Group", two of my Enphase inverters failed. The manufacturer provided the replacement part, with the help of "LA solar Group", but the new company "LA Solar Group" refused to cover the labor, even though my contract says otherwise. They told me they would not grant "Barnes Solar, Inc." warranties and labor wasn't included -- which is simply false. A cost of $650.- for the visit. This leaves customers like me stuck with bills for repairs that should be covered for decades. It seems the new company "La Solar Group" took over Barnes's customers but not the warranty obligations. If you bought from Barnes Solar, know that your 25-year warranty may not actually be honored. I'll be possibly filing complaints with the CSLB and considering small claims to enforce my rights. If you happen to have the same issue please contact me. Very disappointing experience and a warning to others considering long-term solar warranties.

Today, Dave Reyes from Nexus Solar came to our door despite a clearly posted "No Soliciting" sign…read more That's not just inconsiderate -- it's also a violation of Sunnyvale Municipal Code. Per Sunnyvale Municipal Code § 5.38.050, "It is unlawful for any solicitor to ring the doorbell or knock on the door of any residence that has a sign posted stating 'No Soliciting' or similar wording." Dave ignored this entirely and proceeded to pressure us about changing our solar system -- something we never invited or expressed interest in. That's a direct violation of city law and a clear breach of basic respect for residents' privacy. If this is how Nexus Solar operates -- disregarding city ordinances and harassing people at their homes -- I'd strongly recommend staying far away. If they can't respect your doorstep, why would you trust them with your roof? Shame on Nexus Solar.
