Super frustrated. Been with ATT for 26 years. Switched because I couldn't make a call from my house. No service! Went to 2 Verizon stores. 1st on International Speedway, horrible experience bad service. 2nd stop Port Orange. Worse yet. Started out well with Joshua ended with him threatening my wife. We brought 4 lines and 4 new phones of business and were treated like crap. Joshua told us they work strictly on commissions. Should have left then. The lies started as he told my wife the phone she wanted was not in stock but the phone he had was the same just a little smaller. I went in to ask why my cell service/reception has been so terrible recently and sat in the lobby for 35 mins before I got up and left. I cancelled my account 3 times only to be continually automatically billed for an account that I wasn't using. They couldn't cancel my account at the physical store and the phone customer service is horrible. Very difficult navigating to the "cancel account" site. read more

My boyfriend and I went to get our new iPhones today, ordered to the local store. When we went to pick them up, we were told there was a $35 "Set-Up" fee, PER phone for them to get everything "ready" and to get "all of our content transferred". We decided we didn't need that - because setting up an iPhone at this point should be pretty self-explanatory - and we saved ourselves $70. Cool beans! What bothers me though, is that the guy at the Verizon store (Nick) made it seem like we REALLY should've let them do the set-up (obviously to make money, I know). But he told us that we'd need a certain app, BUT it would only do contacts and photos, and that "so many people come back to have them set it up after all" ... well he lied. Literally just had to have the 2 phones (new & old) next to one another, didn't need any 'content transfer' app, and I clicked continue about half-a-dozen times - voila! New iPhone is ready to go with EVERYTHING from my old phone - not just contacts and photos - settings, apps, everything. Just in case anyone else is thinking about paying Verizon to "set-up" their phone... DON'T. read more

I got talked into an LG velvet phone which is garbage because of all of the so-called promotions on the phone. Now I know why there were so many promotions on the phone because I'm sure the agent got a nice little bonus on selling me a piece of crap that you're all trying to get rid of ... I'll be returning it today Not to mention I was switching back to you from AT&t I was with you for 20 years. Sales people change locations, but I have had bad experiences 2 out of three visits. Refused to work with one sales person yesterday that had the personality of a rock, and lame attitude. He lied twice to me saying there were "no manager" I could speak to, and wanted to overcharge me on a setup fee.  Nothing but attitude, and I told him to his face that I did not trust him.   The rest of the transaction went well when I worked with another salesperson, Joe, but had I not committed time in ordering a phone from them last week, I would have walked out and bought another phone elsewhere.  Sales people can make or break a business, and you have at least one inept, ignorant man working at Port Orange location. Please note that I had worked with Rachel to order the phone originally, and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately I needed the phone on a day she was not at Port Orange, and found the inept salesperson instead.  Would still like to impress on all to be wary of sales tactics at Port Orange Verizon.  Rachel and Joe were okay to work with.  I did not appreciate the superior attitude the other salesperson gave me.  Do not trust him. And based on previous dealings with all local Verizon dealerships, I will be taking my future business elsewhere. read more

Got two products here and was told how much my bill would go up, and it went up twice as much. One of the products was supposed to be half off, and it wasn't. I didn't find any of this out until after when I got my first bill. Insurance was added to my devices even after I specifically declined at and I also believe I contracted covid from my visit to this location. Don't recommend going here. read more

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Let my experience be a warning shot to others. "Nate" was the person who provided complete customer dissatisfaction to us today. Our iPhone kept giving a "replace SIM card" message, making the phone unusable and Apple told us to go to Verizon and get a new SIM card. Ergo, our paths crossed with slick Nate. Nate would only offer sell us a $20 SIM card, not replace it. When we insisted Apple told us to go to Verizon to get the SIM switched out, he came up with the story about unless he actually saw the message on the phone, he couldn't replace the SIM card in the spot because he couldn't justify it, and his boss would charge HIM (Nate) $20 to essentially punish him. Whaaaaaaat? How about we take a photo of the screen showing the message about the SIM card the next time the phone displays it and stops working? Nope, not good enough says Nate. We have to drop everything, drive back to his store to show him the message and then maybe- MAYBE - he could replace it. When we questioned his story about his boss making HIM pay $20 for a SIM card he switched out, and why he was essentially calling us liars, Nate's voice rose in tone and intensity as he told us "good luck" and "have a nice day". Is it really good customer service to tell someone with an unreliable phone that you refuse to fix "good luck"? Do I want to ever buy a phone or any product from a place whose service policy is "good luck"? Do I want to even deal with anyone whose boss purportedly threatens the employees with financial retribution for helping a customer? Uhm, no. AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. Do not shop at this store! We bought a "new" iPhone that turned out to be used. Apple verified that the serial number was from a previously activated phone. When I returned to the store to ask about it and get an actual new phone, they claimed "we don't sell refurbished phones". Um, well, obviously you do. I showed the rude lady the error message, that the phone can't be associated to a new Apple ID. She said that means it was associated to a different ID. Hello? Exactly what I said! So you sold me a used phone and now I can't listen to my music! At this point I got angry, raised my voice and used a few choice words. So then she said she won't help me and was calling the cops! What a racket! They use unethical business practices, refuse to acknowledge it or help you, and then when you get angry, THEY call the cops!! Meanwhile I still paid $700 for a used phone that I can't listen to music!! Unbelievable! They are scammers! Stay far far away! Update: Turns out this is NOT a Verizon corporate store but a 3rd party franchise called Cellular Sales Northern Florida, LLC. This explains how they can act deceitfully. By far the best Verizon store I have been to. Very friendly and helpful staff. They saved me a lot of money when I wasn't even expecting to. I will be driving the extra 30 miles or so to this location if I ever need anything or want to make a purchase from Verizon. read more

Stay away from this store at all costs. It has the worst customer service I have ever had - even to the point of telling lies. I went in 5 days ago to order an iPhone 8. The salesperson (Joe) looked out back and came back and said they did not have the one I wanted in stock. He said he would ride over to the Volusia store on International Drive. He told me I could head home - start backing my information up to the I cloud - and he would call me back when he was returning from the store - so I could head back to see him. I waited about 5 hours at home and he never called - I called back into the store and he said "oh I was just about to call you !!" He said they did not have the phone I wanted at the Volusia store, but he would have one sent up from Deland !! That was 5 days ago - he never called back. Today I went over to the Volusia store myself - and in about 15 minutes I left with the phone I wanted. The salesman there said if they don't have a phone in stock - they would send it to the person in about 3 days (I was never told that at the Port Orange store) It wasn't that the Port Orange store was busy when I was there - its just that the people there have not been trained in customer service ! The phrase "You learn something new every day" fits extremely well here. I visited this store today to receive a courtesy screen protector replacement. I have been putting it off because last time I was at this location to get a replacement screen protector I was told that I would not receive a courtesy replacement because they have changed the brand that they current carry. I was told that I could go online with the company and they would send me another one but I would have to pay for shipping, so I went ahead and purchased a new one. I asked the sales representative if this brand came with the same courtesy. He told me yes it does and if you happen to break the screen protector just bring it in and we will replace it. Today I returned to find this NOT to be the case. I was told I have to pay for half of the cost for a new screen protector. I knew this visit was not going to go well. After I realized the Vanilla Ice/Marshall Mathers sale representative I was assigned to had no motive to provide any customer service I asked to speak to a manager. He stated that there was not one. OK, maybe a team leader or head sale representative then? Nope, he mentioned that there was not one of those either. OK well then may I speak to the individual that is in charge in this building? He informs me that they all are pretty much on the same level. OK first that is a problem, maybe that is why this place gets negative reviews because it has children that lie to their customers with no parental chaperones to take responsibility. He offered to call a team leader for me. I said that would be fine. He contacts a team leader on speaker phone and then hands it to me, I discussed my business via SPEAKER PHONE SO THE WHOLE STORE CAN HEAR EVERY PART OF MY CONVERSATION!!! I don't know what the educational requirements are to work at this business, but I am pretty sure they need to increase them and make sure they are skilled in being tactful. I was extremely beside myself, but if that is the way they wanted to conduct business I was going to roll with it. The team leader on the phone explained to me that the business representative that I spoke with before had not told me the truth and that I would have to pay for a new screen protector replacement, and that the representative had "hooked me up" with the price he sold it to me for. After attempting to show the team leader where I was coming from, I was still denied a courtesy screen protector. He said that it was only $22 dollars and that it's not really that much. I love it when people say this because it can quickly be turned around on them, which I did. I said if it is just $22 then it should not be a big deal for him either, especially when the actual cost to the store is less than what they market it for. He told me that it would be bad business and that he cannot just give away free stuff to everyone. I agreed with that statement however I was told by a representative that if my screen protector broke that I could get one replacement in the store. Now I am not sure if I need to record all my visits or have an attorney present so that this does not happen again. I mentioned to the team leader that my contract is up in December and that if this is how they are going to continue to treat customers that I was going to switch carriers. Seems like that $22 is small change compared to what I pay monthly. The team leader's next response was amazing. I was told to go ahead and that choice is mine to make. I was done at this point and left. Contacting Verizon's customer services immediately I was informed that these kind of establishments are NOT a corporate Verizon store and that they are not a reflection of Verizon and in fact they get more calls from upset customers after visiting stores like this one than any other type of calls. I was quickly directed to the corporate store in Daytona and was taken care of immediately. I will never find myself in this store again and I will drive the extra distance to visit the corporate store on International. This store is a joke and a very poor representation of how a business is supposed to be ran, STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE! read more

Upgraded 3 phones on existing Verizon wireless plan, two iphone 7s and one Pixel XL 128 on 11/25/16. The Pixel XL 128 was on backorder and we were told would be available Jan 6, 2017. We were willing to wait until January 6 for the Pixel phone. I received an email on Jan. 7 that the Pixel XL will now not be available until March 12, 2017, nine additional weeks to wait for a phone for which we have already waited six weeks. I visited the Cellular Sales New Smyrna Beach store and spoke with the original salesman, Michael P. He told us there was nothing he could do. I was willing to change to a Pixel 128 (not XL) if they would honor the black friday promotion. Michael was not helpful, stated if we cancelled the Pixel XL 128 (that they can not deliver) we would lose our promotion and that there are no promotions at this time. My suggestion for you is to not deal with Cellular Sales. read more

This port orange Verizon is completely terrible!!! Horrible service! They will try to rip you off and charge you fees that they shouldn't be. Please do your research on the internet about the plans that your account is being offered before you dare to go in there. If I were you I would go to the Verizon off of beville, I know it's not the greatest part of town but the salesmen are always so much nicer there.
