The level of incompetence at this store, especially in the printing department, is unreal. I placed an online order for same-day printing, planning to pick it up the next day. Knowing I was on a tight schedule, I called the store the day before to confirm my order would be ready and again first thing in the morning before heading out, just to be sure. On my second call, the person said they didn't my order. Didn't ask for a number, just "it's not here, we don't have it." After providing my order number and confirmation, they finally located it and assured me it was ready. However, when I arrived, the employee couldn't find my prints--because they hadn't even been printed. To make matters worse, she gave me attitude about the entire situation. I won't be returning to this store--or any Staples--because I've had far better experiences with printing at Office Depot. read more

This is for the TSA precheck - first make sure you have an appointment. We tried to walk in last week and was told they were booked. This time we had the appointment for the first opening after one of the breaks. Worked perfect- right in when they reopened. The man doing the precheck was very patient with my wife. This review is specifically for their TSA PRE-CHECK ENROLLMENT service. First, one must register online and make an appointment online. Then, you must show up here to complete the enrollment process. Although I had an appointment, I still waited approximately twenty more minutes beyond my scheduled time. Honestly, for processes like this, the wait wasn't terribly excruciating. The gentleman that was assisting applicants was pretty straightforward and soon, my fingerprints were complete and my photo was taken. There were a few folding chairs for applicants to sit in. The process only took about ten minutes and soon, I was on my way. I can cross that off my list! read more

Went in because remote usb keyboard not working, told specifically to customer service and that remote mouse working fine. "Our tech is not here today." Since remote mouse works, what is cost of just keyboard replacement and can I leave keyboard for tech to look at tomorrow? "They don't do that." Didn't even bother to discuss alternative if needed replacing. "Well you can leave your laptop with us." What an ignorant, clueless person. Worst service we've seen in a very long time. Took us over 25 minutes to send one simple fax, mostly because they ignore their customers and offer no help unless you chase them around the store, and then the help offered is done in a brusque manner. After asking them to reboot the machine, since that thought didn't cross their minds, they simply just walked away, instead of waiting to see if it even worked or not. I purchased a Brother's printer at this Staples on Jan 4th. When I replaced the starter toner cartridge, the toner light stayed on and it wouldn't print. When I returned to Staples(with the receipt) on Jan 20, I was told by Staples that I was out of luck because the printer had to be returned within 14 days and I had to eat it. They made no effort to rectify the situation. Staples treated me like a second class citizen. I've been a customer for many years. Needless to say, I will never set foot in a Staples again. (P.S. I brought it into this Staples, expecting them to take several days to fix it (if they could fix it at all) and to charge me...a lot. Frustrating. 3 times already, the price at register did not match advertised (shelf price). The person at the register would not even consider I could be right. Even when proof of the correct price was presented one clerk just said, well, it rang up at the other price, so. So not cool! The manager had to fix this problem 2 times. The second time, she explained that it was not my fault. Why would it be my fault? The last time it happened, I cancelled my order and left the store. read more

The service here just plain stinks. The ease of checkout is difficult because at the most they have two registers open. The store management needs to use the service counter for refunding purchases and not do refunds from the checkout line. The advertised merchandise isn't always in stock and rain-checks aren't offered, which, could leave me to believe that they may possibly have the item in the back and they want to sell it next week when it isn't on sale... They have a great selection of merchandise on clearance where you're sure to find a good bargain. read more

After having left the location that was less than 5 miles from me I found it was well worth the 30 minute drive to come to this customer focused location. Although they did not carry the item I wished to purchase they provided multiple options and explained the entire process of ordering and assembly. Unfortunately for you Staples I am not willing to drive past a location in my town and several other retailers who offer the same products because you refuse to staff your Palm Coast location with enough people to meet the needs or people who care about your customers. I paid a total of $67 for 2 large laminated posters. I placed the order online for in-store pick up. The next day mid-afternoon, I received an email that my order was ready. I went in and, upon taking a look at the two posters, one of them was very scratched (see attached photos). I pointed this out to the employee, who was kind and polite and said that there had been an issue with the laminator and it wasn't running properly. I suppose he had hoped I wouldn't notice while picking up my order. I kindly asked him to re-do the poster, and I offered to come back the next day once he explained he'd have to reset the laminator. Note: I live a half hour away from this location, so I've now spent a total of 2 hours driving back and forth because of damaged orders. When I returned the next day, I was given the damaged poster as well as the other original one I had not yet noticed scratches on and a replacement for the damaged one. After I got back into my classroom (I am a teacher and the posters are for my room), I realized that not only was the replacement poster not cut around the sides at all (large amount of lamination hanging off the edges), there were multiple scratches all over it. ALL of the posters (including the one I thought was fine originally) have numerous scratches all over them, and only some of the posters were properly cut. When you pay upwards of $70 for two posters, it is NOT asking too much for the quality to be decent and for the items to not be damaged. I am not wasting more of my time driving back to ask for another replacement. I am upset and disappointed that I paid this much for damaged products. (Note: there are more scratches than those included in the photos; some were difficult to get a photo of because of the reflection of light). Disappointed. read more

This store goes the extra mile for customers. We went in looking for a laptop, nothing special, a simple laptop for home use. It was an extremely busy time and the store manager, Ann worked with us and due to us having to wait, gave us an extra discount. Considering we were buying a sale price item, that said a lot. We also signed up for them to setup the laptop for about $80 and it was so worth it----they did all downloading before and then came to the house to integrate everything.
