I had two interactions at this store. One was for an older family member who needed to upgrade her phone, and wanted me along for some help and advice. That interaction alone would have achieved at least a four-star rating here, which would have been downgraded after the fact, when I found out more about how this store does business (more down below). My second was for upgrading our family's lines. The first thing that upset me on the latter interaction was how extremely hard they were working to sell us into a phone line (one we repeatedly told them we were not interested in) when they thought there was an incentive for themselves (some sort of internal incentive or SPIF). Upon finding out our lines would NOT qualify them for the incentives they were gunning for, they immediately stopped the hard-sell on us, giving up the ghost. However, the thing that really upset us was when we found out, upon going back to pick up our new phones and pay for everything, that they charge a hefty fee, per line, to allow them the pleasure of helping you in store. It was only AFTER undergoing this entire process that we found out about this fee, and it was when I asked some questions about the amounts popping up on the POS screen to pay for. Had we been told of this up front, we absolutely would not have done any of our upgrades in store. Verizon makes it simple enough to do so online; however, my older, extended family member wanted to go in, and having never had a fee for doing such before, I didn't think twice of doing whatever made her comfortable. That experience was decent enough that we simply went back to upgrade our family's lines. However, between the goofy sales tactics and deceptive fees, we won't be doing business here again. Desiree at this retail store was awesome! She walked us thru getting two new phones, transferring everything from one phone to another, showed us how to use them, the patience of a saint! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! Let me tell you why, this is an authorized retailer for Verizon, they will charge you set-up fees, insist no other activation fees will show up, and do NOT know the current deals that Verizon is offering. I went there with my family about a month ago to switch to Verizon. The sales representative was very rude, and though I saw online we could get a free phone with a new account he insisted there was no such deal. When we showed hesitation and I showed him the Verizon deal on my phone his coworker happened to look and let him know there was. "It must be a new deal", no, I had been researching our switch to Verizon for over a month and it was not a new deal. We also repeatedly asked about our bill and if there would be any charges other than the monthly plan fee/taxes. He insisted there would not, and that we paid the activation fees up front. Low and behold when we get our first bill it says we owe money on the free phone, and each new line owes ~$70 in activation fees. I called 611 (Verizon--not this store) and spoke with a representative. Apparently authorized retailers charge set-up fees that Verizon stores do not, and they are separate from the activation fees. He also let me know the free phone promo takes a month to show up on the bill, and we will be credited next month. All of this our authorized retailer not only neglected to tell us, but when we blatantly asked several times if there were anymore fees, he lied and said no. TLDR; go to a real Verizon store. All of the hidden fees and deceit are real and present at this "authorized retailer" location, and they will ignore Verizon deals and lie to you to get as much money as possible. read more

If your a Verizon customer don't waste your time or energy going into this store. Especially if the person behind the counters named JAKE - yes I speak english. If you do not have your 4 digit pin he will not try to help you retrieve it or even attempt to call Verizon. I would have totally understood if he would have been courteous and busy. But when there are two people behind the counter and your the only person in the store you would think? Maybe I can make a sell. Not this guy totally RUDE - I should of let him call the cops.. I did nothing wrong. I was 6 ft from the desk wearing my mask. Since we would be respecting peoples space and trying to avoid contacting COVID-19. This guy Jake didn't seem to mind he didn't have a mask and could careless if he provided Customer Service or heaven forbid help a customer.... By the way I made a phone call to Russell Cellular and made a formal complaint. I'm waiting to hear back. Hopefully this young man who has no respect for anyone loses his job. If he does it's not due to COVID-19! He flat refused to help me. read more
