Rude and unsafe staff. I can give the employee who was helping me a pass (despite them taking a phone call mid transaction without any words to me about it, no "hold on one sec", no "thanks for your patience") - but I can't abide the employee who only wore her mask when customers were in the store. And even then, she wore it incorrectly so it was ineffective. On top of being unable to follow basic public safety measures, this employee has no decorum whatsoever. After a confusing bit of back and forth between my rep, my family member who was waiting outside due to health concerns, and myself, she asked under her breath "Did you smoke weed today?". Though she could potentially have been on a VERY quiet personal bluetooth call she chose not to resume until I left, it seemed like the comment was made at the expense of me / my confused family member. Now, I get it, I worked retail, if you want to crack jokes at the expense of customers, do what you need to do to make it through your day... just wait til they leave!!! When confronted, "I'm sorry, did you just ask a question?" she denied it. It was only the two employees and myself in the store. Personable, knowledgable and professional staff that went out of their way for us. We've purchased phones via other Verizon stores in the past. This cute local Barrington store was our best experience. Thank you to Asma, Michael and Dan for finding us better promotions than Verizon Wireless online. It was a big deal to our family to buy our son his first phone. We appreciate how the whole store helped us make this a wonderful memory for him. We also appreciate how the staff is keeping the store clean and safe during a pandemic. We recently moved here and had our choices of Verizon stores. I have been to this store multiple time and all of the times I was treaded with the utter most disrespect! I was yelled at by employes for using the displays, and I asked for cases for the Motorola g7 power and when I was brought cases for the iPhone 7 I told them that it was the wrong phone and I was yelled at to leave there store! You should never go here! The employees are terrible, you are better off going to another store or going online. read more

A couple weeks ago I had a disappointing experience at the Barrington verizon store. The women who was handling our phone switch neglected to call us when phone was ready to be picked up and had us waiting about four hours with no notice. Eventually we called them and the phone had been ready for a while. Also, when asked to back up a phone she said she would immediately and after those long hours of waiting we came back to the store and unsurprisingly, the phone had not been backed up. Her excuse? This review concerns the Verizon Wireless store on Metacom Avenue in Bristol, RI 02809 (a Verizon authorized reseller) Back in September 2021, my iPhone SE suddenly stopped working; conveniently the same week the IPhone 13 was released. My entire life and business are based off of my phone, so given the option of waiting for a replacement to be shipped or walking out of the store with a brand new phone, I reluctantly took the new phone. I knew they were going to get me by extending my contract for another 2 years, but I was prepared to pay the price. What a mistake I was told that my bill wouldn't change/go up besides a surcharge the first month; in fact, I declined additional features precisely for this reason. The employee I primarily worked with was actually very nice and understanding, I wish I caught his name, because he was very helpful. However, the manager skipped out to get coffee or something, and the other employee I worked with definitely rubbed me the wrong way. He (employee 2) couldn't seem to wrap his head around why I was upset my phone broke the SAME week as the new model was released; given Apple's history of forced product obsolescence Anyways, fast forward to January 2022. I get a notification from my auto-pay reminder that my bill will be paid in a few days. I notice that the amount has gone up; and given that we are 3+ months past my "upgrade", I thought there must be a mistake. I thought it might be easier to go back to the store to see what's going on, given they were the ones who sold me the phone & plan, and assured me my bill would not increase I managed to get the same nice employee that helped me the first time, and we looked over my charges. When he couldn't find the reason why, the manager came over. Basically, he tried to feed me some BS; completely ignoring the fact that my bill HAD gone up from what it was before I upgraded, to my new bill. The way I see it, when they told me that my bill wouldn't go up, and I agreed to purchase a new phone & plan on that basis, a verbal contract was made. The manager seems to think he's not responsible, and after accusing me of being hostile (its called being upset because someone lied to your face repeatedly and stole your money, and now your upset because I didn't accept your BS excuse), I walked out. I went into this situation knowing very well that they were probably going to tell me there's nothing they could do about it and to suck it up; but I wanted to give them one last chance anyways for the sake of my own soul. I told them this when I walked in, AND when I walked out The way I see it, now I'm paying another $10ish dollars a month to ride Verizon like a pony going forward; and man is it worth it. For the rest of my days, I'm going to bleed Verizon corporate (you authorized this fool, the extra charges are the principle and I charge interest); and I'm going to do my best to get the truth out there on as many review boards for the physical store as possible. Everything I'm telling you is personal experience. I am a business owner, I work incredibly hard to give people a product, and I never cheat them. This store, maybe even this entire industry, is based on a con. I have an I Phone 5. One day, my camera stopped focusing. I brought it in and they said they would fix it for $50. I gave them the phone. They had it the whole day and did not fix it. I took it home and brought it back the next day. Again. They had the phone the whole day. When I got my phone, the camera focused but the flash didn't work. I gave them back the phone... Another day. Now the phone doesn't dial up. Back again. Now the phone shuts off if you move it. I asked for a refund and a replacement of my phone they broke. The manager had not the power, and the owner of the store, Chi, had to be notified. Twice, I went in, and twice, I was turned down. The last time, I was told my phone was cutting out because my battery was getting old! ; ( Getting frustrated, I took the phone to Apple yesterday. They opened the phone and found the battery wasn't seated properly, the cowling and screw holding down the screen was MISSING, and the cowling and two screws holding down the battery were also MISSING. Here's the good part! Apple won't fix the phone. Once a third party opens a phone, it voids your warranty, AND Apple will no longer service the phone. ONCE YOUR PHONE IS OPENED, APPLE WILL NOT SERVICE YOUR PHONE!!!!! I was not happy. I called Verizon corporate, and faxed them a copy of Apple's report on my phone. Now Verizon, too, is not happy! They are sending me a refurb I Phone 5 to replace my damaged one. That's fair. Too bad I had to go to corporate to make it happen. Too bad Barrington got FIFTY BUCKS out of me and broke my phone. I got a call from Chi late yesterday afternoon around three. He apologized for my experience. He offered my nothing, but he said he would talk to the person who worked on my phone. I was disappointed with the whole experience. I hope Verizon corporate has a word with them as well. They advised me to conduct further business through the corporate owned store in Seekonk. That's just what I'll do. No more third party retailers for me. read more

If you are looking for convenience this is the place. Fast, Hassle Free, Friendly Service, No attempt to up-sell. After GOOGLING IPhone prices and ensuring that everyone charged the same price I opted for convenience! I.E. one mile vs. 12 and bought here. GOOGLE WAS WRONG. I PAID MORE THAN $200.00 more for my IPhone 8 here than at A real Verizon Store, Best Buy or directly from Verizon. My first indication of issues was when I reviewed my receipt and found they had set me up with insurance without asking me. My next indication was adds from Verizon mentioning no fees. Further review of my receipt showed my phone cost more than at Verizon, there was an upgrade charge, a charge for transferring my info from one phone to another, some kind of connection fee. My 700.00 phone cost almost 1000.00. Next issue, my first bill from Verizon with yet another upgrade fee, an ongoing bill of 1.00,( a carrying charge of some kind) and a statement that I would not be eligible for an upgrade on this phone line. A call to Verizon helped as they apparently felt sorry for me and removed the upgrade charge and the ongoing 1.00. They noted that 1.00 often indicated a special promotion of some kind. I had not received any promotion. Did someone else? I was also told that my totally paid for phone was, of course, eligible for an upgrade when I wished to get a new phone. So, if you want the absolute easiest way to buy a new phone, these guys are great. If you can accept a little computer work or phone call to Verizon, you can save hundreds by going to a Verizon Company Store, Best Buy or on line to Verizon. read more

I just left the Verizon Wireless location in Barrington, RI with my new S20 Ultra 5G Samsung phone. If you're wondering why someone who lives in Narragansett, RI would drive past countless Verizon locations to shop in Barrington, it is due to the fact that Dave, the General Manager and his team are worth going out of the way for! I had purchased my last two phones in Barrington because it was close to Providence where I was living at the time. The service was so incredibly exceptional when it came time for the latest upgrade I contacted Dave and Asma, one of his star customer service representatives to schedule an time to come in and order my phone. You may be able to get a Samsung phone from a variety of retailers but you're not able to get the kind of personalized service just anywhere! If you want to be treated as if YOU are the most important customer that has walked through the door, then you need to visit the team in Barrington. They went through each step to ensure that by the time I walked out of the door my phone was performing perfectly and there were no glitches. I know that they're available for me if I have any questions along the way. They have exceptional patience and believe in providing the ultimate in customer service. It all starts at the top and franchise co-owner Tamar sets the example by ensuring everyone who walks in the door leaves happy and satisfied. Avoid these "authorized dealers" at all costs. If you want anything done go to the corporate run Verizon store (Seekonk is the closest one). If there are any hiccups or hurdles in any process it takes 10x as long with people who are not nearly as knowledgable. ANY mobile carrier store and experience is pretty hellacious but this one really takes the cake. read more

I live in Harrisburg, PA. Yesterday, while visiting my Mom in an assisted living facility in Johnston I discovered I could not download any e-mails because my storage device was full. For business reasons, I need to have that capability ongoingly. I am technologically challenged and went online to find a Verizon store near Barrington as I was spending the evening there. I had spent eight hours earlier that morning driving to RI, and I was tired and a bit stressed. Upon entering your store, Shawna Riendeau immediately approached me with a huge, welcoming smile wanting to know how she could help. She is a very knowledgeable, kind, personable young woman who fixed my problem and taught me some valuable tips about use of my phone. If I lived in your area, she would be a reason why I would not consider changing Verizon phone service because of the service I received from her. She is a true asset to your company. My family and I have been coming to this store for years and our service has consistently been outstanding! The staff is always friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and ever ready to help with even the smallest of questions. Manager, Jared Murphy, is particularly impressive.
