If I could give this store and one of its managers "Dal" a -5, I would. She's rude and has no business working with the public in ANY capacity, let alone as a "manager". I've spent 40+ years in marketing, sales, and business ownership and I have put her in the Top 5 of the rudest, least customer-centric retail store employees I've ever encountered. I filled out a formal complaint with Verizon corporate. The other employees there are nothing to write home about, either. After I threatened to file a claim in small claims court, she kicked me out of the store. AVOID THIS STORE! I will drive 100 miles before ever going there again. I have to give one star to write review. Manager/worker I dealt with deserves 0 stars. He told us the problem with our phone transfer from AT & T was an incorrect acct #. We had been instructed by CSRs on phone to go into store. This mgr/worker said we needed to call them back & refused to help us in store, look at our documentation, or allow my husband to bring up acct info on his laptop. His exact words when we explained we didn't enter acct # but CSRs did, was that this was on us. He then told us to calm down when we stated we needed phone fixed that my husband uses for his job as arson investigator/chief of fire prevention. He had not been able to receive calls for 4 days-went straight to VM. He kicked us out of store & called 911. The cops showed up & immediately left when they realized we did nothing wrong. Meanwhile we got on phone in parking lot to Verizon. After 3 CSRs & 2 hours, issue was resolved. The CSRs were outstanding. The mgr/worker was the worst person I have ever dealt with. Awful treatment, didn't want to do his job. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

Excellent experience getting a new phone and updating my plan. Everyone was very helpful. They looked for the best deal for me and upgraded my plan, added a new phone and my payment only went up a few dollars. Amazing rebate on my old phone. Unlimited data. And a brand new iPhone. My son has used straight talk for 20 plus years He was told today that they were sold to Verizon..we live in the country and Verizon doesn't work well out this way..he told them that he doesn't want Verizon and he has about 6 months worth of there phone cards.. They keep telling him that they do not have a supervisor..now we all know they have one.. I am the only one on the account and my family members tried to go upgrade their phones. The sales rep didn't know what's going on even when the sales rep called the Corporate store. The reps at the store and the corporate help also don't know how to add someone onto the account. Very frustrating that the my family there, upgrading 3 phones by the way and paying whatever Verizon wanted for them, had to call me (not there) to buy new phones. I guess training is an issue at this store. I get that it's not the stores fault for terrible Verizon customer service, but there is know way this same instance has not occurred before. Do not buy from this store. This is a franchise store and they will tell you any kind of lie to sell you anything! I went in specifically asking to purchase a note s10, adding a 5th line to my acct. I purchased it and paid for it in full & in cash. 2 days later I went to the Verizon store in Avon only to find out that Michael G completely lied giving me the wrong monthly payment amount, and also my acct showed that the phone I purchased for in full showed having monthly payments on it! I went back to the store for a refund. Then a guy a Robert tried saying that it's usually a $75 restock fee but it wld waived. No where on my receipt nor store policy did it say anything about the 75$. Furthermore I was not refunded for the screen protector either. If I would have been told up front that a franchise store is NOT allowed to sell phones outright then I would have went elsewhere to purchase my phone. Because the store did not have enough cash to refund me they are mailing a check. I highly suggest you purchase everything from the main corporate Verizon stores Only! Otherwise you're given false information, anything to have you buy from this franchise. read more

I went to Verizon in Avon, IN to get an upgraded phone and accessories for my son. I ended up getting everything at a great price, but the best customer service was from DeJashia. She is awesome!! She is patient, kind and she knows her stuff when it comes to IPhones, billing or any technical questions. Go See her and get hooked up! read more

I can't believe I'm doing this because I personally feel that Verizon, as a corporation, is one of the greediest, most horrendously overpriced monopolies there is on the face of the planet. And in general, their customer service is downright deplorable. BUT, the guys at the Avon store have their stuff together for sure. They made me, as a customer wanting to quickly activate 5 existing/pre-owned MiFi devices of mine for a project, actually feel important and deserving of their business without trying to upsell me for anything else. The gentleman who helped me out (I have no idea what his name was since it's been a few months, sorry) had me squared away in a matter of 10 minutes with everything activated and ready to go as I walked out the door. Impressed is all I can say. And understanding of EXACTLY what I needed without questioning why I was doing it (I've done the multi-MiFi activation thing before and inevitably someone screws it up). These guys did their job and did it well. Bravo. read more

My son was in Avon Indiana from Florida visiting friends when he was held up at gun point and robbed of his phone. Obviously very distraught, my son went to the Avon Verizon Store and it was VERY close to closing time. The urgency was that my son was leaving in the morning to drive back to FL. I started typing one of my standard, lengthier reviews for this retailer. But I deleted it because I'm honestly still bitter. So I'll break it down with a list: 1. When I come into your store to exchange a new phone for one of the exact same value, I expect to be in and out in about ten minutes (not including wait time). 2. When your computer makes an error you don't understand, I should not have to suffer the consequences and be made to feel like it was my fault. 3. I do not make boatloads of money. Therefore, no. I do not want to shell out another couple hundred dollars for what was supposed to be an EXCHANGE while I wait who-knows-how-long for a refund to appear on my bank statement. 4. When I've now been here over an hour, the computer is still glitching and you're telling me I have to pay for something I've already paid for once, the LAST thing I need is for the store manager to start trying to talk me into tempered glass to protect my new phone! I've worked in customer service, so I try and walk on egg shells and be *extra* understanding when it comes to these types of things. It takes a lot for me to be physically worked up and seconds away from yelling "FORGET IT." Rest assured, after this experience, I'll be doing all of my business with Verizon online or over the phone. read more

I had a very good experience at this particular store location when I was looking to purchase a wireless Bluetooth speaker. A Verizon Solution Specialist by the name of Arlene Gonzalez assisted me. She quickly came over to assist me when I arrived at the store and was very knowledgeable about all of the wireless speaker products. Not simply trying to make a sale and rush me out of the store, she inquired about the type of location setting and purpose that I was looking to utilize a wireless speaker system for and targeted our research accordingly. Arlene was patient and enthusiastic in her explanation of what each speaker system could be used for and how to pair more than one speaker system together for an even better and richer sound experience. She again displayed that high level of patience and professionalism when informing me about the different purchasing options available to me and even connected the speaker system to my phone for me. In the future whenever I need to visit the store again for any more phone or speaker systems I will ask for her by name. read more

I had a terrible experience at this verizon store. I visited this store twice in one week. The first. is it I purchased a pair of airpods and attempted to purchase a Rosegold Samsung galaxy watch. I intended to spend nk more than 20 minutes here and they said it would only take 5 to 10 minutes to program the watch. FALSE, LIES!!! I understand stuff happens but my visit was over three hours long and they kept giving me the run around and having me delete stuff kn my phone in attempt to remove an error to program the watch. They should have the knowledge and experience to resolve this issue. I ended up leaving without the watch upset because my phone was screwed up from the employee messing with it. Now two days later I come back for the same watch and to bring my mom in for a new Sansung Galaxy phone. I approach a different employee this time hoping for a better experience. NOPE! This time the employee gets all the items together and tells us we cannot check out because of the same error. I have to delete a locator app to fix this error and it takes 24 ho urs to resolve. I told asked him why wasnt I told this the day I came this week and i should be compensated in some way. He says he is trying everything he can to help me yet he just said there is nothing he can do????? WTH? So the same app he says to delete I got a notification saying it was added by verizon. Someone at verizon added the app. They made things messier. I am beyond pissed and my mother is the type that she just wants to go home. We walked out and decided to leave without anything because of the horrible service and the unwillingness to help us! read more

Great service ... seriously, at a Verizon store! Have to give credit where it's due. Appropriately staffed to the point where I've barely had to wait long at all for two phone activations in the past few months. And zero hassles + zero cost for activating phones despite purchasing them in online auctions (instead of through Verizon). Nice new store, friendly staff. I am really mad with Verizon, they stole my money when I purchased their product online... I did what they asked and went to the local store to turn micro sim back in and they said within 7 to 10 business days I will receive my refund... That was early July and now when I call them they give me a runaround and lie to me... This needs to be corrected... Because as I see it A business stealing customers money is wrong. I got charged for 3 extra gigs of data in 3 days and been using home internet. I don't use Facebook or watch videos outside of the house. This is a very busy Verizon store, so expect there to be a queue. That said, the people in this store are friendly and helpful, without being condescending or curt as I've experienced at other cell phone stores. Rob in particular is a total rockstar. I've been there a couple of times lately and each time he has been courteous and efficient, patiently helping work through my complex phone problems while greeting everyone who enters and without losing his reassuring demeanor. He's almost omnipotent in how he effectively helps me, his coworkers, and people with simple questions, all at the same time. Today Devon and Rob spent the first hour of the day helping me with my phone and you can tell that these guys not only enjoy doing their job, but care about doing it well and helping satisfy the customer's needs as much as possible. Verizon should be proud to employ the type of people anyone would want to do business with. read more

Bought a phone at full retail, and they automatically signed me up for a two yr contract, 7 days later it has not been corrected yet...

The wait here is always so long. The past two times I've gone in to ask for an added on device to be removed and instead of taking care of it, they try to sell me cases, accessories etc. I got asked 6 times to buy a phone case, yet the whole reason I went in there never got accomplished. Twice. I finally had to call and after a 30 minute phone call got it taken care of... hopefully. read more
