I have been a loyal Verizon customer for quite some time, and my experience with their customer service--both by phone and chat--has generally been excellent. Unfortunately, my experience at this store was the complete opposite. The store appears to be managed by a narcissistic individual who behaves as if he knows every technical detail about the entire company. I went in simply to drop off my Verizon 5G WiFi Extender after upgrading to Verizon FiOS. Out of nowhere, the manager snapped at me and insisted the device was not a 5G WiFi Extender because it has a coaxial port. What the manager clearly does not understand is that a WiFi extender simply repeats the signal from a WiFi router. Because of his dismissive and arrogant demeanor, I told him he did not know what he was talking about and that he should scan the SKU number before jumping to conclusions. Instead of verifying the information, he doubled down and claimed he essentially has Verizon's database "in his head." When the team finally scanned the SKU number, it clearly showed the device is 5G equipment. Naturally, he was embarrassed and tried to save face with a ridiculous explanation: "The extender is FiOS equipment that was configured as a 5G device." What? I laughed and left. There was no apology for the unprofessional behavior or incorrect claims, and I wasn't even thanked for being a loyal customer. This store manager is in serious need of professional training on how to interact with customers. If this is the level of leadership at this location, Verizon risks losing loyal customers because of uninformed and unprofessional management. read more

I was having a big issue with Verizon customer service which was absolutely horrid!!! I went to this store where Russ Ed and the amazing manager did everything in their power to help me and save me money!!! They were friendly and extremely knowledgeable... Went to this Verizon store yesterday. The Customer Service was terrible. We spoke to the manager who unless we wanted to upgrade she would not help us. Gave us the wrong information and then passed us off to Customer Service Support while she ran around the store trying to jeopardize and con other customers walking in the door. Went here today to try to get my phone upgraded, and jimmy was so helpful! My boyfriend and I both ended up leaving with new phones, and we were in and out in about a half hour which was awesome. I also switched over to my boyfriends plan, and jimmy made sure to explain everything to me so we both left happy and with brand new phones! Such a great experience. read more

Dropped in here two weeks ago after 5 years of pure agony of having Sprint! Dropped calls, no service in my home, not receiving texts for days after someone sending them to me and just all around bad service. After finally getting out my contract with them I'm switched to Verizon. There was a very long wait on a Monday morning. I got a very nice sales person who hooked me up with my new service, new phone and lots of nice little perks. I got myself a new fit bit, new cover, new charges and all kinds of new gadgets!! I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments here..everyone was super nice that helped me that day!! No problems at all. Super big store. I like this Verizon Wireless store because it's quite large and there's a good amount of phones on display, at least one of every one in the current line up, more if it's a popular phone. The customer service is phenomenal in this store. Each time I've gone in I've been greeted at the door and asked if I need any help... if I decline they're cool with it and leave me alone until I have a question and if I do need help someone is at my service within a couple minutes, even with the store pretty busy. I had to replace my last phone because it was damaged. I went in, someone asked me what was wrong with it and I showed them... 5 minutes later they were pulling out a BRAND NEW phone from the back to replace my almost 2 year old phone that was pretty beat up. Activated it, and put everything that I had on my old one on to my new one, which would have taken me days if not weeks (with my ADD) to do. Cool! Well, last month I decided to upgrade my phone all together. Went in to get the new BlackBerry Tour on the day that it was released. Was checking out the displayed phone that they had and someone asked if I needed help... I said I was just looking, but thinking of getting it (I wanted to be able to see the phone in action before I made my final decision, even if I was almost positive that I was going to get it). Two minutes later they brought me out a new one and let me play with it since the display one was running slow, probably from other people using it all day. I took it! They offered to switch everything over again for me and I wasn't pressured into buy any accessories for my new phone. Thanks. I've been back to the store one more time after getting my new BlackBerry Tour, only to get a credit applied to my account. I had no problem doing it either, except I did have to call VZW CS but still... I got it. So, this store rocks. It's also a tech support store, which they're aren't that many around. read more

If you're looking for salespeople who don't care to listen to your questions and barrel straight ahead with their scripted hard-sell on why you should buy the latest most expensive phone and plan then by all means, you should go to the Verizon Wireless on Harrison Blvd in Avon. Two years ago, my husband and I were looking to start a new account and needed new phones. It had been years since we looked at the different plans and wanted to understand our choices so we asked very specific questions. The sales person brushed off those questions by saying, "let me show you why this plan I've been describing is what you want" then proceeded to draw two boxes on the back of a piece of paper. We were so infuriated that we left and went to the Verizon kiosk in the BJ's down the street where an earnest straight-forward rep (Adam) explained the actual differences in the plans. Fast forward 2 years later, we have a screen glitch that is most likely a defect but was wondering if a Verizon "professional" would be able to help. The answer was "no, we can't help because you didn't purchase insurance." Even if we had bought the insurance, I wouldn't have trusted her to fix it. She took a look at the phone's camera app and asked if my husband had "recently downloaded" what was actually the stock camera app from LG. These folks don't know their ass from their elbow and clearly don't care about actually helping anyone. Save yourself the frustration and go to a different Verizon store. read more

BY FAR the easiest and least painful experience I've ever had with a cell phone company. I fully expected issues or drama or something.... But just great people and extra service! My mother (on my plan) lost her phone so I went to the store with her. The salesman (Daniel D - ask for him) made it so easy and explained everything so fully. Terrible store! Thank God for Apple Products, so that we can go to Apple and get great service, had not been to this store in many years. Went in to cancel one of our 4 lines because our son got his own phone and number, and after speaking to Verizon on the phone we decided to go to the store, this way we could upgrade my iPad and my husband wanted a new Bluetooth. They sent a Taylor to assist us, he actually stood in front of my husband and I and picked his dry lips on/off for several seconds. We explained that Verizon said we could transfer my phone which was upgraded last year on the line that we wanted to cancel to my line and cancel the line we where not using without having to pay the $290.00 termination fee. He fumbled around with his iPad then he left and went into the back, he returned about 3 minutes later to say that his Manager said it cannot be done, and even though I was looking at the iPad Air 2 and trying to see if it could fit into my current iPad case he Never asked if he help us with anything else. He was really inept. We returned home and called Verizon and got an Efficent and Professional Hannah who did as Verizon had previously told us on the phone and transfered my phone and contract from the line that is no longer being used to my phone and cancelled the unused line without any cost to us in less than 10 minutes. I can see that the poor service at this establishment has not changed in many years. read more

After Ron gave us his used car sales pitch and misinformation about promos. we stormed out of this store. Verizon stores are the worst. They will tell you lies to get you to sign up for a plan, upgrade or do whatever to make a sale. When you need a problem resolved good luck because they make verbal promises and deals called special promos and then when you try to follow up guess what...that promo wasn't happening when you were here!! Ugh it is the biggest scam running...we need more options in carriers. read more

I had a wonderful experience at the Avon Verizon !! with the help of Tom it was amazing I really feel like he helped most affordable deal wile making it fun!! I ended up leaving with a bundle that included a tempered glass screen protector , Bose speaker, phone case , two charger , and of course my iPhone 6 Plus S !! All for very cheap!! We arrived at the Avon store and connected with Meridith. We had questions concerning our I-phone 6. After Meridith helped us, we decided to purchase two I-phone 8 plus and an I-pad. Meridith was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, friendly. In other words, she was fabulous. We are two senior citizens who needed her gracious manner to get us through the process. We went back to the store for further assistance and spoke with her. In the future, we will only deal with Meridith. I hope that Verizon knows what a gem they have as an employee and share this with her. read more

This Verizon is not worth going to, especially since there are better ones in the area. Although it has a central location, it's usually packed and when I went Saturday morning, it took 50 minutes for someone to get to us for a simple question I had about a phone issue. My power button had stopped working, but they claimed there was nothing they could do and seemed to be a large rush. We probably talked to someone for about seven minutes after waiting for so long. About 10 minutes away is the Verizon store in cobb's corner, and they replaced it in store in about an hour. Avoid this store with phone issues or if you seek help, as their customer service is not the best. read more

I hate the fact that you have to either type your info into a machine or speak to a human immediately when walking into a store. You are confronted before the door behind you is even closed, you haven't even figured out which direction you want to walk in and now you have to explain why you are there. Aside from that and the fact that they have 35 staff walking the floor and not a lot of customers, they are EXTREMELY helpful. My cell phone spontaneously combusted one day. I could no longer see the screen so not only could I not see who was calling me but I couldn't see who I was calling or my beautiful pics:):). I thought I was screwed without insurance and was going to have to cough up a whole lotta dough. They replaced it for me at no charge but the catch was I had to FedEx the broken phone back asap so I didn't get charged. Well guess what, I didn't go to FedEx (forgot) and they charged me $320.00 and wouldn't budge. I called, explained and they told me to pay the money and then they would credit my acct when they got my phone, this wasn't an option for me so I pressed on to speak with a manager. Long story long, they gave me some leeway and some more time to get to FedEx and really helped me with my bill. They did not treat me like the moron that I am for not retuning the phone to begin with and for that I recommend them with a smile:) read more

There's a reason why friends were telling me to go to apple for a new iPhone 7.... and now I know why- the customer service "agents" or whatever they are called.. are the rudest and most unprofessional individuals. I don't know what they do besides try and sell you a phone. And then even screw that process up. Well then, when that happens, & you pay a pretty good amount of money... they pretty much just basically tell you that you can leave now. I had a horrible experience in this store with a Maurice..he was rude the second I walked in the door. I came in with smashed glass. I was told by a Verizon agent that I had chatted with the day before to walk into any store and they would be able to assist me. He told me the cost without the coverage was $50 and with the coverage was $49. The gentleman I spoke with also told me his name was Charlie. When I began to tell Maurice my story, he right away interrupted me and said they did not repair in the stores, I said gee ok well the Verizon agent I chatted with sent me in here..right away again he said "No he did not"..I said yes he did, several times. In fact we spoke at length via chat and was very specific about dropping into any store. Every time I spoke, Maurice would tell me I am wrong. I told him to pull up the transcript from the previous day and he did...he said you talked to a "Jay"... I said no, I talked to a Charlie...again he said no you did not you spoke with a Jay and he made all these notes...I said I assure you his name was Charlie not Jay and Charlie told me to come in to any store...Maurice also rejected my statement of bringing my phone to the Hanover stores for repairs in the past. I have absolutely brought it there for technical help..again Maurice insisted I was wrong. When I mentioned my chat session he kept saying "oh well that explains it" (with an irritating smug look on his face) and I finally asked, "why do you keep saying that? That explains what?"..he said you were misinformed.... And once more he told me that what I was saying was not true. For fear I might smack Maurice I left the store with my 2 daughters but not before raising my voice and telling him not to call me a liar...I immediately called Verizon to have them pull up my chat session. He apologized for the salespersons behavior and took the time to look up the session. Sure enough, the mans name was Charlie, he did tell me several times to walk into any store and he quoted the $49 & $50 charges..both of which were incorrect but I didn't even care about that because Charlie was very pleasant and helpful and Verizon went ahead and credited my account the amount it would cost for a new screen just for my troubles. I plan on dropping into that Avon store again with the transcript highlighted and I will make sure Maurice knows not only was he rude but was completely wrong. I'm not sure how he still has a job there...Steer Clear of the Avon store. For the record, Assurion takes care of repairs of the glass for Verizon and it's $29.99 if you have the coverage. This I did not know until the very nice woman who was working that night stepped in to tell me...she could tell that Maurice was out of line. I think Maurice needs to find a new job away from the public. Will NEVER go in there again. I'd give ZERO stars if I could...Just for Maurice..... read more
