Filed a formal complaint with the company. BECKY...the store manager could use a class in organization and customer service. Pity.

After 2.5 years of paying a postpaid bill of 142 bucks a month decided it was time to switch them to prepaid since it would be much cheaper and meet their needs better. Everything seemed to be going alright with the store employee Nate at first, but then was told we would have to pay their final bill in full, even though it was the middle of the billing cycle, he reached out to someone and agreed that wasn't correct so that issue corrected. Then as he is closing their current account to move it to the prepaid side, a mysterious computer issue and now it's locked up. So we are now almost 3 hours in with no service either way! Phones are off and still have no postpaid or prepaid service. About 3 seconds away from saying leave it off and taking them to cricket and paying the $200 for new phones and just being done! Buyer SERIOUSLY beware! Have now found out this is freaking sales manager! He has now had to ask another employee to help...this is ridiculous. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE!

It has been two days since 8/11/21, the day I found out my service was not "downgraded" -- like I…read moreasked-- but instead, it was canceled by "mistake." Huge mistake for a service provider. On 8/11/21, I tried to return the equipment after my boyfriend spent his phone with Charter Spectrum from 3 pm- 8 pm. The result of that very long-winded conversation was my account closed on "good terms." They tricked him into creating his account. I told him everything, plus the install would be around $250. Well, yesterday, the projected bill came to $300 and something (view pictures). He was so angry that they lied AGAIN, he decided to cancel everything. Today I returned my equipment to a store location that had informed my boyfriend they do not do returns (view pictures). The reason I went back to that store location: 95 Storrs Rd, Willimantic, CT 06226. The cashier was "SN7" she moved too quickly for me to catch her name tag. Now on 8/11/21, my boyfriend entered the store location to return my equipment as they were sending him his new equipment. The same lady who lied to him but ended up doing my return anyways was there. She lied about what she told my boyfriend to save face. I did get my equipment returned but only after jumping through many, many hoops. I even went as far as emailing Alexa Mayo (view pictures), who called me on 8/12. When I went to return her call, she didn't answer. Since then, I have left her voicemail, and she has not called me back. Her office hours mentioned were M-F, 8:30-5 pm. It's now 3:13 pm, and still no callback. Suppose you want to trust your hard-earned work money to a provider that gives you the hassle. Lies. Steals and manipulate, then Spectrum is just right for you!

In certain buildings and certain locations, there won't be any or very weak service. During thunderstorms or bad weather, service can be very slow. I told them I lived in an area where service was difficult. They told me I would be able to get service. SO, we changed out the sim card and I filled out their paperwork. With the condition I would be back in the store the next day if their service would not work at my house. I went home and had no service. I went back to the same store and spoke to the say employee and they reinstalled my AT&T sim card and canceled the agreement due to them not being able to provide me service at my home. Almost a year later I find that they have turned in a bill for collections for non payment and it was on my credit record. I never received a bill from them, a call, a text, a email, nothing. I went back to the same store and was told they could do nothing for me about the erroneous billing and collections. I was told to call an 800 number, I did and was told the matter could not be found in their system and someone would have to call me back I waited a week and no call, I called them back and got the same run around. They will call me back it's been another two weeks. At this point I'm going to file a $10000 civil lawsuit for fraudulent charges, extortion from a collection agency , and for damages to my credit report. They don't seem to have any concern about correcting their mistake. If they can't or won't handle such a simple task as correcting a mistake, I would not recommend doing business with them.

My first encounter was with Jordan who took the time (even though they were busy) to sit with me and work through my issues. AT&T refused to give me a transfer pin to switch carriers. They insisted that I had no choice but to pay off my old iPhone 14+ (stolen) before they would issue that 6-digit pin number. Not only is this unethical, but it is also illegal and I have reported their bad business practices to the FCC. Jordan assisted me in developing new passwords, deleting old information and bringing over ALL of my contacts and photos. I was very concerned about my personal data not moving over after AT&T tried so hard to prevent me from switching carriers. But after sitting at the store for some time, everything did transfer over! When I came back into the store a little bit later to hand in my old iPhone 8 as a trade-in, Thomas was available to assist me. He also sat down with me and explained that this process should not have been so complicated. He was able to update my plan, double check that I finally had all of my data and even spoke with his manager regarding a credit after AT&T overcharged me ($222). The bottom line is Verizon has already outperformed AT&T in just 24 hours! Their employees are educated on the process, take the time to explain things to the average customer and go above and beyond to ensure things are taken care of. I am already happy I decided to switch my cellular service to Verizon, and I am telling everyone who is needing a new carrier to go by and visit with Jordan and Thomas!!
