The Verizon Store on East Castro Valley Blvd. located between 24 Hour Fitness and the Safeway deserves 5 stars for service and friendliness. Like probably many of you I went to this store years ago and was serious underwhelmed. i gotta say its a whole different place now. I went because I was having trouble transferring all my "stuff" from my old phone to the replacement phone I'd just received. Anthony and Sanam pretty much took over the process for me, making sure it all got done correctly and helping me over a number of unexpected equipment hurdles. Being somewhat tech challenged I can't adequately tell you how grateful I am to them for taking a special interest in the problem and getting it resolved. This is not a real Verizon store, it is Victra, authorizes to sell for Verizon. I went in to upgrade two phones. The first one, I traded in two iPhones for a newer one, I was told I needed to pick out a case, tempered glass and car charger because they were included in the bundle. At no time was I shown the cost of these items, I was shown my taxes on the new iPhone which I signed for. I went in a few days later to trade in another iPhone as they did not have what I needed in stock. He kept trying to push the 8 plus or 254 gb on me when I repeatedly said I wanted a 64gb. I was also told again that I had to select accessories. I said I didn't want any accessories and he told me that I could only trade in my phone for accessories, not put the money towards my bill or the new iPhone. I asked to see a print up of the transaction for my daughters phone and realized I was charged 45 for the case, 50 for tempered glass and 35 for a car charger that I didn't even need. Don't be deceived by "It all is included in the bundle", this doesn't mean it comes free with your phone. The sales guy , TK, was charming and very good at selling me things I didn't want or need. He apparently lied to me as well, because another employee told me you can trade in one phone for another, and not be forced to put the money into accessories. Save yourself the trouble and deception and go to a real Verizon store, they traded in my second phone with no hassles or deceptions. read more

The manager Sanam has been more than a pleasure to interact with, she has such beautiful and kind personality. I did not buy my phones from here I bought them from the San Leandro corporate nightmare Verizon location which was a HUGE mistake. None of my numbers came over from t-mobile I was rushed off with 3 non working phones. I was very frustrated having already spent 4 hours in that store now I had to go back and waste another day trying to fix what should have been done right the first time. I definitely felt guilty coming in to this location asking for help as I know from a sales background this store would not get commission from helping me. I even expressed this guilt to Sanam to which she immediately gave me a bright smile and said oh don't be silly I will take care of it for you. I did not expect her to help me more than simply let me know if I should call Verizon or T-Mobile to resolve the issue or if I had to go back to that zoo corporate store again that would have definitely ruined another day of mine. Let me tell you she truly made me feel welcome and comfortable with a beautiful smile on her face the whole time. She told me she would not want me wasting my time going through the headache of dealing with a run around which really made me wonder wow what an amazing woman. She called both T-Mobile and Verizon for me got everything situated as well as set up my email that I forgot my password to which the rep at the corporate store had told me he could not help me with. She is a gem, very rare to meet people of such kind nature in today's world, we sat and had some fun conversations she gave me some good laughs and I was set on my way back to work on time. It was one of those interactions that really brightened my day. Her infectious smile and energy set me to an amazing mood for the rest of my day. To have an effect like that on strangers is a gift! She has definitely earned my business from now on and I will be referring anyone I know to come see her! It was very necessary I leave feedback to make sure people like her are known for their true dedication to genuinely helping customers. Definitely an amazing memorable experience! Verizon - Very clean - Mobile Phones Near Me - Castro Valley, California

I went into this store for the second time this last week. I was really impressed with the service. the first time I went in there they were kinda rude, and I didn't really care for how we were treated. I thought I would give them another chance. I wanted to get a new phone for my fiance since his was dying and being garbage. We got there and there were two associates, probably a manager and sales, I'm assuming. There were three customers being helped. We weren't really in a hurry so we sat and waited for them to finish. The guy who helped us, Enrique was awesome, super sweet and made me feel like an actual person, not just a sale for the day. He was actually helping us and another man when he started helping us. He was transferring data, which I understand takes a while. He was super professional with helping both of us. I guess the other man was waiting a while, so I was more than happy to let him finish up with that customer. I completely understand when you have to multitask at the end of the day. We wanted the Pixel XL and noticed a deal online and decided it was a perfect time to get it. We had some questions and if he didn't have an answer he knew who to call and ask for the answer. I felt bad that we were there so late in the day keeping him from closing up the store. I know from experience in retail it can get a little annoying not being able to close and clean up. If he was annoyed at all it didn't show. He was super cool and we joked a bunch, exchanged funny retail stories. (of course while he was working on setting up the new phone and transferring all of our data) I normally don't like going into stores, especially phone stores because I always feel like they are trying to get add on sales or just get us out the door as fast as possible, but this was one of the best customer services I have had in months. I actually thought good customer service was dead until I went here!!! I would recommend going to the Castro Valley location if you want to get a phone or even call if you have questions, they seem more than willing to help all customers. read more

Okay, these reviews are all wrong. This is the best VERIZON Wireless store. All the employees have been more than helpful and gone out of their way to help me and I've been going there for 6 years now. It can get very busy because it seems people flock in at the same time and one just has to be patient and wait their turn. I went to the Dublin store the other day and now that man was rude and condescending. I left and drove all the way to the Castro Valley store and ended up buying a much needed new phone. They bent over backwards to make me happy. read more

I had the worse customer service experience at this store as a new customer from switching over from another carrier. We ( my family & I) were there two plus hours while they were trying to connect our phone lines. We were very frustrated waiting around and they also tried to also take care of everyone walking in the door, instead of concentrating on getting our phones on. They folded a piece of paper in our bag and gave us no breakdown of all of the added costs, we went in for a reasonably priced family plan and received an email that our bill would be $350/mth - who in their right mind would sign up for $350 mth family plan? They were not honest and upfront about the hidden fees, per phone line and I received more dropped calls than I did with previous provider. read more

Came in here a few months, purchased the iphone X for around $1300 after all the taxes and fees and didn't get any discounts, free gifts, or any type of appreciation as a customer spending over $1000. Wish i got the guys name who ripped us off... there was a guy who purchased a phone for $199 and the salesmen called his manager to waive his activation fee for free with out the customer even asking for it. But when it came to us spending over $1000, for some reason he didn't give us a break on anything, on top of that, we told the guy that we did not want to pay for the extra protection plan, when we got our monthly bill, turns out he didn't give a crap what we said to him cause he charged us for the protection plan. My sister who also purchased the iphone X with At&t got a free phone case and screen protector with her purchase.... i really regret switching to verizon now... their phone/ internet also sucks in Hayward. Im always getting dropped calls and cant connect to the internet. All my friends with internet always have faster internet services than i do. read more

Surprised by the lack of positive reviews. Pretty fantastic customer service. I was fortunate to be the only customer so there was no wait. The store manager and another employee were there helping me, extremely friendly and patient with my questions. They also helped a woman from the store carry her groceries to her car because the shopping cart wheels lock right outside their store. Come on! How much nicer do you get?! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. The salesperson deceived me in believing that the tablet was "free". I was very shocked when I received my first bill indicating data service activation fee, sales tax, insurance. When I called the store, they told me I cannot return the device although there was absolutely no usage on it. Thankfully, I called the wonderful Verizon customer service who helped me and adjusted the bill. Although, the staff may appear to be friendly and helpful, they are only after the commission. I stopped in for question about my phone that I was having problems with. The staff was very knowledgeable. Kind and friendly. I met the store manager I believe his name was Russell he was very sufficient and helping me with my questions and problems he was friendly and when I walked in and he greeted me I felt welcomed and warm. As he helped me I watched while his other employees we're working with customers they Worked fast and efficiently and always had a smile on their face. Russell was able to solve my issues with no hesitation. If I can give more than five stars I would and I would definitely recommend this Verizon store over any other Verizon store I have previously visited. read more

Walked in to buy a phone they said they had in stock over the phone. There were two young people working at the store who both did not know how to set up a new phone or plan. I asked them "so let me get this straight, you are both the only ones working here and neither of you know how to set up a new phone/contract?" Their response was "correct." I asked why their manager would leave two people who had no idea what they were doing alone in the store. "I don't know" was their response. They told me to call tomorrow to see when the manager would be in so I could get my phone set up. They did not know his hours. When I called the next day the girl said the manager was "at the bank" and that the manager "may need to go pick up a phone later in hayward, so when were you planning on coming in?" Why are they making it so hard for me to give my money to them? One of the most painful processes in history trying to buy a phone from this place. Negative five stars. read more

I went into Verizon today having issues with my Samsung 3. I was waited on by TWO gentleman...named Brijon Sneed and Stephen Amaral.....I did not want to get a new phone...but it was nearly time for my upgrade...and I could not ask for a nicer more pleasant experience!!!!! They were VERY helpful and knowledgeable about my plan and new phone etc. They walked me through the apps and using the phone....erased my old phone and updated contacts and all of my information. Not to mention, they tranferred all 4000 + of my pictures and videos.Stephen went on a break and came back and continued helping me. They gave me their contact info. and let me know that I could text/call them with any questions or concerns. It was truly a relief to be able to go into a store on Mother's Day and be given such good service! I even met another customer who was buying the same phone named Baron and they gave him excellent service as well. Thank you Brijon and Stephen!!!! read more
