I went added lines, got a phone, and all the prices they told me where a lie. I went because my parents had a great experience and when I look at their bill - the prices the sales representative told them was also a lie. we're being charged 100$ more on my plan and my parents plan and we went about a week separate. Liars. Don't trust them and have them break down the bill because I can't even pay for my bill. I was told $170 my bills $250 and the guy told my parents they would be paying 10$ more so instead of $140 -$150 - that's a lie too they're paying $165 and the nice lady said she has no idea where he got $150 from at all. I told him that I want to upgrade my phone and he said impatiently that it would take 45 minute wait or that I can do it on the app in the phone myself or go to another store, I told him I couldn't there is no option for what I want to do on the app and I'm riding my bike I can't be riding to another store, he said there was an option but I can go to another store if that's better for me, I told him there wasn't. I would have to trade in my phone with Verizon and order the phone that they didn't have in stock and would have to wait for them to ship it and what I wanted to do was just pay off the one month and go to apple and pick up the phone there because they had it in stock. I explained there was no option for just to pay, he said there was condescendingly. So I then said can I ask you to show me how to do it in the app because there is no way, he said no if you ask me to show you I have to pay $30 if i want to get help from them at that store. I was astounded by the fact that he was making me pay money in order to help me out to buy/upgrade my iPhone with them. He shows me the sign that says for $30 for decide set up, I told him I'm not setting up a device I'm trying to buy it, arguing with him that's not what I want, I want to upgrade my phone I don't need help setting it up, he said that's what I have to pay, again I said that's not fair Verizon can't be charging to get help to buy a phone, again then he said I could go to another store if I wanted to. i said look I'm not trying to be rude here but I'm not trying to set up a device I'm trying to upgrade it, and said sorry that's what you have to pay, I told him fine I'm here just put me in the waiting list and he said ok and just stared at me, I said ok... waited about 10 seconds as he just stared angrily at me not inputting anything in his tablet, and I said I'm waiting, then he said you know what you can get out, you can go to another Verizon store. Ricardo then proceeds to kick me out of the store unfairly and because I challenged his authority and the fact that he was wrong on the fee to get help. I immediately walk out without any incident as he held the door for me and then I asked for his full name which he wouldn't give me and I said you'll be hearing from me. Who knows how many people he ripped off making them pay $30-$35 dollars for something that wasn't legitimately the case for, it's fraudulent and will be reported to the BBB. Verizon please do better, I am not the only person here reporting this guy named Ricardo. I then bike to another Verizon store in Long Beach off bellflower, I get assisted by Jawan the manager, who then hands me off to Evelyn, and I asked her how I can pay off the one month in advance and she explained to me that I can't really unless I do the edge up and it's a whole different process and that it would just be best to get the phone through Verizon instead of apple and I could have it the next day, I opted for that since it was the best solution for me, Jawan and Evelyn where amazing and super virtuous and professional compared to Ricardo who was awful and needs to be demoted or fired. I explained to them my situation at this Cerritos store and they said I should not be paying $30 for assistance with a billing scenario and that's just the price for setting up a new phone, anyone who needs Verizon services should just go to the Long Beach store and not go to this Cerritos store, Ricardo is the worst customer service employee I've ever dealt with. Being kicked out of a Verizon store after being a customer for years is not the way to handle any customer, I was not loud or rude or disrespectful, Ricardo was just upset I was challenging his knowledge because after all he was wrong and didn't want to take care of my situation and would try to steal $30 just to pad his sales numbers, it's despicable and makes me question Verizon, but thankfully Evelyn was able to turn it around I will for sure be going to their yelp page and leaving a great review. This review is specifically for my experience with store associate, TIM (TIMOTHY). This bald headed cretin made me so upset that I truly considered going to another phone company due to his highly inappropriate and immature nature. To start, I came in today since my phone was having issues with Apple Pay and I was told by Apple I would have to replace my phone for $600. I politely declined and informed them that I would go to my phone carrier, Verizon, and settle the issues there. So here I am today, and I initially had an appointment with Julio (which I wish I would've had his help instead to begin with, read later) but they placed me with Tim. I told him my issue and that I would be ok with upgrading the phone as long as I didn't go over my set amount for my monthly bill. He then said that it could be worked out and we came to terms for a new iPhone 14 Pro which I was happy with. However, since my Apple Pay wasn't working and I had limited cash I asked if it was possible to bill me on my next bill the amount for the new phone in which he said no and I would have to pay in cash or card today. I politely asked him if it was possible to bill me online through the app (since they have my card info on file) since I couldn't pay all of it in person without splitting it into some cash I had on hand and credit card. Meanwhile, I'm telling him that I could pay it by splitting it cash and credit card to get the phone today as requested, but he's in the Verizon app ordering the phone to come to the store tomorrow when I told him I wanted it today. He then placed the order on the app and when I told him that he shouldn't have placed the order he says, "it's too late and if I reverse it it's going to cause bigger issues". Yeah bigger issues that YOU CAUSED. I never told him to outright place the order and after he did, he starts getting an extremely inappropriate attitude with me talking about I told him to place the order. I never told him to place the order and he even neglected to tell me that this store is closed on Sundays so I wouldn't even get the phone until MONDAY. Smh. I then asked for his manager, Robert, who was absolutely amazing in handling his associate's piss poor attitude and he immediately got the situation handled within 35-40 mins. He de-escalated the situation by talking to me in a CALM manner and not on the verge of almost cursing me out a like Tim did with his immature and rude demeanor. I seriously can not think of a better word but cretin to describe Tim's personality/demeanor and it was absolutely inexcusable customer service. I usually have good experiences with Verizon and the only redeeming qualities of this experience that I had were with the manager Robert and another associate, Julio. Julio was very kind since he just came over in the midst of the disagreement and just asked if I was ok and condemned Tim's condescending tone and actions. That was very nice and I applaud the way Robert ultimately handled the situation since he reversed the order and ended up having the phone upgrade price added to my bill (which could've been done in the first place to avoid this whole situation). TLDR: Please AVOID TIM (TIMOTHY) at this store and I would advise you to work with Julio or Robert instead since they actually know how to provide excellent customer service. He was incredibly rude and his deplorable customer service almost made me consider looking into another phone company. Tim ended up ordering a phone without my permission on the Verizon app and if I went through with him, I would have to wait until Monday to get my phone. In addition, he lied and said I couldn't get the phone upgrade billed to me and that I would have to pay at the store today. I recently needed to replace my samsung and they were very clear, quick and helpful. No hard sell, just a quick pitch on accessories, no run around on pricing. I am so grateful that they convinced me to get insurance when I resisted...since I lost my phone for the first time ever in the first couple of months and got a nearly free replacement! When that came (in 2 days by mail, no questions asked) they were immediately ready to do the transfer for me for $30. I was happy to pay as I have a lot of other stuff going on right now. Worse Verizon I been too. The hours on the door say 8pm. I have rushed to this location twice now and every time they have closed early. I was there before 7pm and they had the metal security door down already. The worker that was there didn't come to acknowledge us till after his customer was leaving. This store has horrible customer service. I've noticed they only help you if you need to make a purchase, but if you have to troubleshoot your phone, they will not help you. I was experiencing trouble with my sim card, so I went there for assistance. They told me I'd need to pay $40 to activate a new sim card, but since my account was past due (I have a payment plan on file) they could not activate the sim card. It didn't make sense to me, so I went to another location and was given a sim card (no charge). I'm not sure why 1 store could help me, but this store couldn't?!? Sounds kind of fishy and makes me believe they have a bunch of scammers working here! I've been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and will never ever return here. This store is close to the gym I go to. But on Sunday by the time I got off of work, I decided to try the Verizon store by my work which turned out to be a not so great experience. I got the feeling that store, not Cerritos, was too busy and it was close to closing time so there was no rush to help me. I decided to try Cerritos which was what my instinct told me to do. From the time I got in, I was politely greeted and told one person was ahead of me. The man was very nice and helpful. I waited and the young man who helped me upgrade my phone was very nice and also helpful. I saw other people being helped in a positive way and everything seemed to move along smoothly. The customer service is always 50/50 and my family have been going to this location for a very longtime. There are employees who go above and beyond the minute you walk in all the way till you leave the store. They are detailed when showing you the phones such as the features and the different models. They explain thoroughly what you can expect from the phone and most importantly the different plans they have. On the other hand, there are employees who could care less about customers and knows nothing about the phones and tells customers very little information. In those cases we usually ask for another employee to help us so to not waste our time. As for the phone selections they have the typical models along with phone cases and accessories. They have pretty good selections they never run out of phones when we go to buy new ones - they always have plenty on stock. When you are dealing with phone exchanges or buying new phones make sure the employee is knowledge (you can tell as they are detailed in the steps of what exactly you need to do online) otherwise, you are better off talking to customer service online. This is in a plaza and the store is located in the corner it is almost hidden if you are not familiar with the area. The parking is easy it never gets busy throughout the day. When new phones comes out - this is the only time I see a line outside. Otherwise, when you go inside you place your name and they call you when the next available worker is free. For quicker wait times, visit on a weekday closer to closing time. The longest you will wait is around ten minutes. read more

If you absolutely must go into a Verizon store, avoid this particular store at all cost. My daughter lost her phone so we went in to get a new one and was told she could upgrade for free (with no trade-in) to an Iphone 15 Pro. The sales rep seemed very new and didn't evoke a lot of confidence from me, but how could this possibly get botched? Fast forward and I was trying to figure out why my monthly bill jumped up, and I come to discover that I was being charged $30/mo. for the very same phone. I called Verizon customer service and they tell me I need to address it in the store. When I went to the store, it had just opened and there was only one other customer. Ricardo, the store manager, is at the front and doesn't greet me or look up. I explain why I was there and he immediately said there's nothing he can do and that I need to call customer service. I explained that I already talked to customer service and he aggressively told me again there's nothing he can do and started raising his voice and changing his posture. He was easily provoked, became irate, and seemed like he was ready to get physical, including the tone of his voice, his physical posture, and his eyes. It was like he knew it was coming and was already defensive. I call customer service and they tell me that this store has generated a LOT of complaints that have been escalated because they regularly "mislead their customers." The customer service rep asks to talk to Ricardo who calms down by 50 levels to calmly tell her he can't apply a promo code in the store. When I speak to her again, she is clearly frustrated by the store's demeanor and how they behave. (If you're wondering whether Verizon store reps make commission ... of course they do.) I'm on hold with the rep for at least 30 more minutes and, eventually, she tells me she is able to correct this but it will take 1 to 2 billing cycles. So Verizon corporate has to take a loss now on this phone because of their store employees' behavior and inappropriate sales tactics. Why is this store still open??? Went today and was convinced that I should get an IPhone 13 Pro Max. After waiting and getting the new rate my bill would be I was ready to upgrade. I was then told that they don't have any IPhone 13 Pro Max or Pros in stock and I would have to order online. This is the worst Verizon store I've ever dealt with. Employees are super slow & incompetent. I wasted almost 90 minutes sitting in there a couple of weeks ago due to the Verizon rep not knowing how to set up a new phone. Today, I tried to drop off my trade-in & was told there would be an extended wait due to the "line" of people ahead of me (the line was one person). On Jan 3, I went to the kiosk in the Los Cerritos Mall with my husband and 2 kids (under 4). Of course my kids started to act up when I was trying to purchase a new iPhone 11. I also had to fix the screen on my old phone at the next kiosk which took 20 min. Which I thought was enough time to purchase the phone. ADRIAN helped us and took advantage of the fact that we were discombobulated because of our kids. He told us that the case, screen protector and battery was FREE. That it came with the package. He also added a monthly protection plan that I did not want. I only asked him to help me transfer my contacts and calendar. Which he did not do. We had to come back to him and he did it hastily. When we got home my husband asked how much everything was and I told him it was around $200. He asked why when Adrian said the accessories were free. Of course Adrian did not give us our receipt. We called the next day to see why it was over $200 and his coworker said the accessories were not free. She told us to come in for the receipt and to return the unwanted items. When we got there she said that she couldn't return the screen protector (~60) because he put it on. Then she asked us that Adrian (who happens to be the manager!!???!!) will be in at 2 if we can wait and come back. NO!!!! We have other things to do! It was extremely inconvenient as it was to pack up both kids and drive 30 min to and from to fix the sneaky transaction Adrian did. The only reason why we took it is because it was supposed to be FREE. We trusted your employee to be slapped in our face. He's a lying fraud. And he had the nerve to ask us to give him a good customer service rating! He is out of his mind. After she kept communicating (via text) with her manager, Adrian she finally let us return the unwanted items. That took 45 minutes. The first total was about $227. This was our first time in this Verizon store, honestly is was appalling how we were handled. We received a sim card earlier in the day, but it wasn't working. We needed a new one. I tried to call the store before we left home, to get advised on how to handle our situation. There was no way to get a person on the phone , who was actually in the store!!! So, we get there about 15 minutes before the store was closing. The representative at the front desk told us we had to wait for a technician. There were about 6 other customers already in the store, and another customer who cane in after us. We wait about 5 minutes then , I see the person who gave me the sim cards from earlier. My husband ask him if we can get another sim card. He tells him there are other people in front of us. we were very aware of that, but we are willing to wait. Then he says the store is closing in 5 minutes, so now he says we have come back tomorrow!!!! Well, we were not happy about this. We leave and go to another Verizon store. We were told by the representative there , that the sim card had not been activated. Honestly, before we arrived at the second location we were going to cancel our account with Verizon. With a Smile. Finding it impossible last week to go into my (Password) because the Fonts for some reason had gone 10X the regular size. And because of that the only numbers that was showing where: 2 5 8 And my 4 number passcode was only one of these numbers. This was the last step after the IT..Depts @ Verizon and Samsung told me that I would have to have all my information deleted and start from scratch even if I bought a new phone there might be a slight possibility the switch.over would be impossible. She pressed the areas where the missing numbers should be at.... BAM!!!! THANK YOU...VERIZON for not only a GREAT hire but teaching the no quit attitude with a Great.Attitude and even asking for help when needed. This is a review of the Cerritos Towne Verizon Store, and perhaps more particularly about the salesman/greeter who identified himself to me as Ricardo. I think it also reflects badly on Verizon's treatment of their customers on prepaid cellular plans. This afternoon I entered the store at about 3pm (they close at 6pm), was greeted immediately, and I asked if I could buy a phone without an appointment. "Ricardo" informed me that there was a long wait because, though the store was nearly empty, there were several people ahead of me with appointments who were shopping or whatever until their appointed time. OK, I asked him if, should I make an appointment, could he sell me an iPhone 14 model (at full price) to replace my older iPhone 7 which is on a Verizon prepaid plan. He said no, he could not sell me an iPhone at full price. I asked why. He would not answer -- just repeated the mantra, "I can't sell you an iPhone at full price". You have to buy it from Best Buy or the Apple store (both of which will only sell to a prepaid Verizon customer an unlocked iPhone at a $35 or so premium over full price) and then bring it to the Verizon store where they would activate it (with a $35 activation fee). I kept asking why this is so, telling him that I had called Verizon customer service, and they had assured me that my local store would sell me the iPhone. and he repeated his mantra, and then rather pointedly walked over to the double entry door, opened one side, and stood there with the unspoken command that I should leave. I asked him again why this requirement existed, and why he could not accept my $1200 or so to buy a phone, and then he opened the second door of the double doors as if to emphasize that I was being invited/ordered to leave the store. I left. My only guess is that there is some commission involved, that the store (even though it is a company store) does not provide commisions for sales to prepaid plan persons, and that it permits its employees to refuse service and behave in an unbelievably unfriendly, unprofessional, and almost hostile manner to anyone on a prepaid plan who questions this policy. TL;DR If you want to support a store (and by extension a cell provider) that treats customers this way, prepaid or not, then go ahead. You pay about $1,000 for a phone that they make a profit on and when you help transferring data they send you to the apple store. I should have just bought the phone from the apple store then at least I feel like I got my money worth. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was very nice and professional read more
