There are so many mobile phone stores and kiosks in Sun Valley Mall that for any of them to be successful they need people working for them who have good customer skills and this Best Buy seems to have just this type of people working in this store.

Both of those stores had a lot of customers and looked hectic. I was in a hurry so I was glad that I did not have to go there. When I walked into Cricket it almost felt refreshing because I was able to walk straight up to the counter for service. The Cricket employee's name is Ismail. Ismail was very helpful, gave good advice so I knew which phone best suited my needs. I thanked him because he really looked out for my best interest. He could have taken advantage if he wanted to but didn't. Great customer service, I'm staying with Cricket.

Cynthia is an amazingly patient employee with incredible ability to multi-task. She was all alone working the crowd. Once I reached my place at the counter, she happily worked on my phone along with TWO other phones simultaneously. Cynthia goes above and beyond her responsibilities. I called the Richmond store and was turned away because they were too busy. The staff here really took the time to hear me out over the phone and attempted to help activate the phone. Unfortunately, we were not able to solve the issue because Apple had not completed their part to register the phone to our service provider so their hands were tied. Anyway, out of all people we interacted with, they at least genuinely tried to help out, which was really appreciated.

After running all our errands this morning we parked our car in-front of my parents house all ready…read moreto go to the reunion. We started the car and all was well, then we forgot something in the house and turned the engine off and when we went to restart it the engine wouldn't start. Oh no!!!! Well we didn't want to be late so we took a different car. Thankfully we had 3 cars to choose from. Later that afternoon we went back home to tackle the car that wouldn't start. We packed all of our belongings for our trip home and went to start our car and it still wouldn't start. Thankfully we had a solo battery charger in our trunk so we whipped it out and jump started our battery and the engine roared to life. We next googled the closes O'Reilly and found this one on Monument Blvd just a few miles away. We zipped on over and parked right in front next to the other car with their hood up. We went inside and explained the situation to the sales person. He looked up and had our battery in stock. Next we went out to test our battery and yep it was a dead one. Our battery was purchased from O'Reilly back in Nov 2023 and the warrantee had just expired. Too bad. We went back inside and bought a new battery. There were several to choose from. We choose the gel one with a 4 year warrantee. He said if we loose the receipt not to worry as our purchase is on file. We all returned to the car and he installed the batter. For an extra $2 we bought some goop to put on the battery so the connections won't corrode. As it turns out the gentleman helping us has a daughter with the same make and model as us with the same amount of miles. What a coincidence. While we were having out batter installed 3 other people pulled up and were also having their batteries tested. They have a great business going on a Sunday afternoon. With the battery installed we were all set to hit the road again. Crossing our fingers that this one isn't a dud. We bought a battery for our other car last week and it was a dud. After a day the car wouldn't start again and it turns out the battery was a dud. It caused us so much undue stress. So beware lots of these batteries are not exactly new, but recharged and sold as new batteries. If there is a lot of stickers on the top of the battery you don't want it. For us this was a good experience. It's so nice that they will install the batteries for free and take the old one back to dispose of.

It was over 100 degrees outside and he took the time to fix my back license plate mount that was stripped because Mercedes Fairfield lied that they fixed it. The metal bracket stripped the plastic on the license plate mount. In and out of the store 3+ times to get tools and adjust the plastic expansion nuts. It's a temporary fix but it's better than getting pulled over for no plates at all. Thank you again and God bless you!

While walking around the Vineyard Shopping Center in Concord, we came across a nice department…read morestore called McCaulou's. It is a really nice department store that sells Men's, Women's, Junior's, and Children's clothing, cosmetics, shoes, toys, books and gifts. They also had a sale going on for clothing. The staff greeted us when we walked in. The inside was one huge space that was decide into different departments. I was immediately drawn to the beautiful displays of stationary and gifts right when we walked into the store. This store reminded of me of a store called Gottschalks department store that used to exist in Fresno California. They closed in the early 2000's. I loved that store and this place brought back many good memories of shopping there. Everything was so orderly and displayed so beautifully. The staff were exceptionally personable and friendly. I loved it here! They had a really nice men's department and shoe department. I didn't have a chance to thoroughly look at the women's section. I'll have to do that, the next time I come. I loved the kitchen items they had on display for entertaining. I ended up finding some really cute kitchen towels with kitty's all over them. I also found a nice baseball style hat with a lovely floral design on it, in the stationary section. They had lots of great gift ideas and unique items. I would definitely come here again in the future. I saw online that they have more locations in the North and East Bay, as well as Stockton. I hope to check out some of the other locations when I'm visiting those cities.

How much does a tissue paper cost?…read more Today I took my 83 year old mother out shopping to buy a baby shower stuffed animal. Her total purchase was $31. (2 stuffed animals purchased separately) I also purchased 3 baby books totaling $31. My mother asked for one of the stuffed animals to be wrapped in tissue paper to stay clean, and the woman who assisted her was very friendly and very accommodating to her disabled condition. However, the manager, D.Green, who checked us out at the register was reluctant to give us one more piece of tissue paper for the second stuffed animal when my mother asked for it - because it did not make the $20 minimum purchase gift wrap requirement. My mother did not ask for it to be gift wrapped. She asked for a piece of tissue paper, just so the fuzzy animal stayed clean. When the manager told my mother the purchase did not qualify for a piece of tissue paper, I spoke up and said I just bought $31 of books, does that qualify? She replied, 'no, that's on a different receipt' We left without the piece of tissue paper. I called the Store, and coincidently the Manager is who checked us out. I spoke to her because my mother was very upset and is a local resident. I do not live in the area. The manager stated she was following the policy. McCaulou's on Clayton Road just lost a local customer over a 5 cent piece of tissue paper! As a Manager myself I would never argue with a customer over a piece of tissue paper. The woman who wrapped the first gift was great, the Manager, however, needs customer service training as we were not rude or inconsiderate at any time towards her or any staff members.
